We 7 cadets were going down the stairs to the basement and hid on the ceilings
The 7 cadets consisted of me and Annie, Mikasa, Jean, Betholdt, Reiner and Connie
Whilst going down they were all having some small talks about whether they can kill the titans in the basement
I was far behind the back and with me was Annie and Mikasa
"So... Why are the two of you here with me? Don't you want to join in on their conversation" I asked as I smiled wryly
"I don't want to join their conversation, it's too annoying to soothe each others nerves" Annie spoke up with a face of indifference
She was being pretty close to me as our distance from each other is only a few inches
"I feel the same way" Mikasa spoke up as well
"I see... Well suit yourselves I guess?" I said as I kept on walking
We kept on walking in silence for a few moments before Mikasa spoke up
"Thank you... For your help earlier, thanks to you my injuries didn't become much worse" Mikasa said whilst looking ahead not looking at me
*Oh..? Well that's what comrades are for right? We protect each other" I said as I looked at her
Annie just looked at the two of us in silence as we spoke with each other
"On another note... I hope you're feeling better... You know for losing him... I know how hard it is to lose and never see your family again... I can't imagine how horrible you are feeling right now" I said as I sympathized with her
Mikasa stayed silenced for a bit before nodding at me
We then all kept on walking in silence as we neares the basement
But before that Connie who was walking infront of me spoke
"Hey August, how come your ODM Gear looks pretty fine? You were moving a lot when you paved the way for us to the HQ so your gas must've been used up by now, and you don't seem to have used up your blades too much" Connie curiously asked
I turned to Connie and explained what happened to me during the time I was holding back my position for and hour and when the members of my squad betrayed me and as I was searching for them I came across a corpse whose ODM Gear was still pretty full
"Amazing... Still though how did you-" Connie wanted to ask something but was interrupted by Jean
"How were you able to hold back your position for so long? Most of us couldn't even hold our positions for half an hour without anyone dying" Jean said as he looked at me in disbelief
"I just... Did? I used my squad as distraction to the titans and I went ahead and killed them...?" I said confusedly
"That doesn't explain how-" Jean wanted to protest but
"Give it up Jean, we're here now lets get ready" Reiner spoke to him
Seeing that Reiner was right Jean gave up and we all went to get ready
As we readied ourselves Mikasa who was close to me spoke to me
"Holding on for that long... You're strong." She spoke at me suddenly praising me
I was taken aback as I turned my head away from her and said
"I-Is that so... Then thanks"
Is this really Mikasa? She seems to be out of character to suddenly praise me like that
Annie just looked at her for a while as if assessing something but soon after sighed and Mikasa just looked back at her
I looked at the two confusedly as they were acting in another language that only girls will know, though I might have some ideas
Anyway when we were ready we went to the basement quietly and went to our positions in the ceiling as we waited for the others to get down the elevator
There were seven titans in the basement, they were ranging from 3-5 meters in height
Soon we heard the sound of elevator coming as we saw Armin, Sasha, Ymir and Christa and the other cadets get down to the basement
Soon the elevator stopped before reaching the ground as all the titans went and looked at the cadets and then slowly approached them slowly
The other cadets were nervously holding their buckshots as the titans slowly approached
Soon the titans were eye to eye with them and then Armin yelled out
"SHOOT!" Armin yelled out as all of the cadets shot the titans in the eye as they got blinded
That was the signal we were waiting for so we all jumped out of the ceiling as we all went ahead and slashed all the titans nape killing them, except the one Connie targeted as he didn't slash deep enough to kill it
Soon Connie fell on his butt as he looked at the titan who was approaching him scared
I immediately shot my hook and boosted myself towards the titans nape and then unhooked to not get it tangled with me as I spinned with my blades in hand as I hit the titans nape, killing it.
A few second passed and the silence persisted before suddenly most of the cadets shouted in happiness on their victory
Connie then approached me and grabbed both of my soldiers
"Thanks for helping me man, I owe you one. That was awesome when you spinned and killed that titan!" Connie said as he kept on hitting my shoulders
I just nodded at him
Soon everyone in positive spirits were refilling their gas and getting blades
As I was also doing my business, doing my own refilling of gas and getting blades, someone or more specifically Christa
"Hey, what's up?" I asked as I refilled my gas canisters
Christa sat next to me and also refilled her gas next to me
"I just wanted to say thank you for helping us reach the HQ..." Christa
"I didn't do much, Mikasa cleared out most of the titans on the way and I was only following her around, after me, Connie and Armin went after her Jean took the lead. So if you wanna thank someone then thank them, I didn't do much" I said as I looked at her
"No... If it weren't for you forcing us to make a decision to go to the HQ ir not then we might've not risked ourselves and just stayed there..." Christa said as she looked at my eyes
I was taken aback by her and just scratched my cheek as I looked away
"I didn't really do much... You all still would've still went and go to the HQ even if I didn't speak up... But thanks" I said as I looked away
"Hehe... Are you perhaps weak to compliments?" She said as she saw my face turn a little red
"Cute..." She muttered, thinking I wouldn't hear but I did as my face flushed a little more
"A-Alright I'm done refilling my gas, I'm going on ahead. See you later" I said as I stood up and went away
I heard the faint sound of her chuckling at me and saw Ymir's face of irritation as I looked at her
Seriously, what's her problem. Isn't she too overprotective of Christa?
Anyway, soon we were all ready to go and scale the wall as we all started to get ready to leave the HQ
But before that... I entered the upper floors of the HQ since I heard that the supply soldiers of the supply team were still scared shitless about going out so they were still hiding up there
I soon entered the room they were in with a buckshot in hand as I entered smiling calmly but my eyes were blank as I entered
Color me surprised when I saw my squad members with them as they held their heads as they sat down trembling with the supply soldiers
My smile widened even more as I made sure that no one was following me before locking the room
I approached them slowly as I calmly spoke
"Yo... Missed me?" I spoke to my squad as they looked up with the supply soldiers as well, trembling and when they saw me their faces turned white except the supply soldiers
They tried to run away but their legs gave in and failed
"Don't think you all will escape here alive... You as well from the supply team..." I said as their eyes dilated and their trembling increased
"N-No wait, Stop! Don't come near me... Monster..." One of my squad members spoke as I approached them
Soon the room was filled with the sound of fighting and screaming as the room was painted red
Soon after all the bodies got thrown to the broken windows for them to get eaten by the incoming titansz incase that the Titans didn't eat them, I made it look like they just killed themselves
I just smiled darkly as I looked at them with cruelty in my eyes

I started leaving the HQ after cleaning the 'mess' up and cleaned myself up to erase the traces
As I left I saw a group of people on a roof
I saw Mikasa and the group standing on a roof as they seemed to be watching something
I shot my hook and went to the roof they were on
'So Eren will finally get out of his titan huh' I thought as I reached the roof
Sure enough the moment I stepped on the roof, I saw a huge titan slumped down to the ground with steam all over it, sorrounded by it was all killed titan
Soon steam started to come out more on its nape as something or someone came out of it
It was a wild Eren who appeared on the nape as he unconsciously sat up
Silence entered the area as we all shockedly looked at the boy sitting atop a titans nape
That didn't last long as Mikasa called out to Eren as she went down to get him, when she got ontop of the steaming titan, she put her head over his chest as she cried when she heard Eren's heart beating
On the roof I was on I could hear them speaking
"Why is Eren... Inside of that titan...?" Jean spoke up looking shocked
The others were speechlessly looking at Eren
'But...'
Looking at the ones in the roof more specifically, Reiner, Bertholdt and Annie who had a shocked face that was a little different than others as they looked like they knew what was going on
I sighed as I remembered all the troublesome things I would need to take care of later
Soon Mikasa brought Eren on the roof we were on as she laid him on her lap
"The arm and leg that he lost... Is now back..." Armin muttered as he held Eren's hand
Mikasa was just petting Eren's head as he slept soundly, Mina looked at Eren as she cried and kept saying sorry
I noticed some soldiers were leaving to scale the wall and probably report what happened to the Seniors and Captains of Garrison Regiment
I didn't stop them since it was impossible to withhold the information with how many people have seen it so it would be useless to do so
After a few minutes of us letting Armin and Mikasa have a moment with Eren we decided to tell them that we have to scale the wall
"Mikasa, Armin, I hate to break the moment but we have to scale the wall now. It's not exactly safe here right now" I said as the others nodded to agree with me
"You're right... No time for us to have a moment when we are somewhere dangerous" Armin said as he stood up and so did Mikasa as she tried to carry Eren
Jean spoke then approached Mikasa as he spoke to her
"Mikasa you must be exhausted, I'll carry Eren to the wall" Jean said as he tried to get Eren off Mikasa
Mikasa just shook her head and said
"No... I don't want to be away from Eren right now..." Mikasa said as she carries Eren on her back and she started to hook from buildings to buildings in the direction of the wall
Soon Armin followed after her and hooked away as well
Jean just sighed and muttered
"Thought so" He muttered as he looked at the others
"Hey you all, lets go to the wall now!" Jean said as he hooked away
Soon all of us followed after while being cautious as for any titan that might jump at us
Soon we neared the wall as we boosted ourselves up to the wall and then we landed
"Finally safe... For now at least" I muttered as the others had similar reactions
The seniors on the wall patroling sees us and hurried to us asking if anyone is injured at all
Seeing none they led us to the elevator and we met up with Mikasa and Armin as we all started going down
As we got down we heard multiple sound of buckshots being readied and aimed at us as a commander was in the front looking at us... No at Eren cautiously
"Hand over that Titan in a humans body now!" The commander spoke as he pointed at Eren
I just sighed at the current problem in hand
