Alexander's POV
"Did you just say it is your uncle's pack?!" I nodded. I guess he didn't know that it was the pack of my uncle from my mother's side.
"You didn't know?"
"No, your father never mentioned it..." he trembled. Did he think that we would give him back to my uncle? "You don't have to worry. We won't give you back to him. You are a member of our pack now, and have been for a long time, Michael."
He smiled shakily and nodded his head. "I know."
I gently pulled him closer to me, ignoring the mark on his neck, and patted his head.. "Then what are you worried about? Why are you trembling?"
"Because I think I got a scent that I haven't smelled since I left the pack house," he looked at me with worried eyes.
But before I could say anything, there was a knock on the door. I slowly pulled him away from my hug -I didn't want to, but I had to see who was at the door- and got out of bed. I went towards the door and opened it slightly. I frowned when I saw my father with a worried expression on his face.
"What happened, Dad?"
"The Red Wood pack is here."
"What?! Why are they?!"
"I don't-" Dad was interrupted when Michael opened the door wider. "Did they find me?! Did they ask about me?! Who came here?!" I wrapped my hand around his waist and pulled him closer to him in an attempt to calm him down because his body was shaking.
"I don't know who it is or why they are here. All I know is, they are asking to meet the beta..." Dad said with hesitation on his face.
"They know I am here... They found me..." Michael said, looking into the air.
"Hey! Look at me!" I cupped his face and made him look at me. "They will never know you are here, they will never find you! We are here with you! You are my mate, and I will never let anyone hurt you! I promise, Micheal" I think my words seemed to have assured that because his body stopped shaking -not much but a little at least- and nodded his head.
"I will be back soon, okay? Till then, stay here, okay? Don't open the door for anyone, and I mean anyone. If it is me, then I will just open the door and walk in, okay?" I asked for his confirmation while I caressed his cheek. He leaned into my touch and nodded.
"Okay. I will stay here," his voice was a bit trembling. I know he has been through a lot of things that happened to him in the past, in his previous pack, and I don't want to force him to tell, but I hope he does.
I closed the door behind me and went to the main room with Dad. We were discussing what we should do about them.
