Hey everyone,
Quick heads-up. I'm making some changes to how chapter access works across Patreon tiers.
Previously, all my drafts—usually around 100 chapters ahead—were locked under the Author Only tier. I decided to scale that back a bit and open things up more. Here's the updated access:
Seafarer Saga Tier – $35 → Full access to all drafts (usually ~100 chapters ahead)
Mythical Mapmaker Tier – $22.5 → 50 chapters ahead
Epic Explorer Tier – $14 → 35 chapters ahead
Supernova Tier – $11.50 → 20 chapters ahead
Captain's Bounty Tier – $8.50 → 15 chapters ahead
Rookie Pirate Tier – $5 → 10 chapters ahead

There were a few things Coby wanted to deal with immediately. First on his list was the fake Straw Hats that had been parading around the island, pretending to be the real crew. The idea of Luffy mistaking his own crew in the original timeline had been ridiculous to him. Luffy and Chopper getting fooled by some green-haired nobody and a hag dressed as Robin? Yeah, no. Coby wasn't about to let that happen.
As he walked through the streets of Sabaody, it didn't take long to spot them. The so-called "Straw Hat" group was gathered in the middle of the grove, acting like they owned the place. The fake Luffy was sitting on a makeshift throne, surrounded by rest of the 'crew.'
Looking over to see his own fake version, Coby almost puked in disgust. The so-called "Straw Hat" sitting on the makeshift throne was an absolute joke—an obese man with a gut so big it practically spilled over his legs. His scruffy beard barely hid his greasy face, and his legs were thin, hairy sticks that made him look like a lopsided joke of a pirate. His bloated belly poked out from under a tattered red vest, and the straw hat on his head looked like it had seen better days, drooping sadly over his forehead.
Fake Zoro wasn't much better—he had a beer gut that pushed against his plain shirt, his chubby face framed by thick, ugly lips and eyebrows that could've belonged to a cartoon villain. Fake Nami looked like she'd been pregnant for years, her potbelly stretching her polka-dotted top, her hair tied in a lazy bun that made her look like she'd given up trying. Fake Usopp was just plain ridiculous—round and oversized, with a fake nose that stuck out so far it looked more like a weapon than a feature.
And don't even start on the others. Fake Sanji? Pale, sickly, and dressed like a hobo trying to play dress-up. Fake Chopper? A brown fox in a crappy knock-off hat, dragging around a chain like a circus animal. Fake Robin? Short and plain, with none of the real elegance Robin had. Fake Franky was a toothpick with a flowered tourist shirt, his long neck and scrawny frame almost laughable next to Franky's usual massive build.
Looking over at his own fake version, Coby almost puked in disgust. The guy pretending to be him was a disaster—short, fat, with blotchy skin and pink hair that looked more like a bird's nest than anything remotely human. His clothes hung off him like he hadn't bothered to pick the right size. The worst part? A giant, sloppy grin spread across his face, showing yellow, crooked teeth. It was like looking at a nightmare caricature of himself. (Check Coby here)
Coby rolled his eyes and casually walked toward the group, not bothering to hide the smirk on his face. The fake Luffy sat on his sorry excuse for a throne, leaning back like he owned the place. He eyed Coby with arrogance and sneered.
"What do you want, pleb?" the fake Luffy barked, his voice nasal and grating. "I am Straw Hat Luffy, grandson of Hero Garp and son of Revolutionary Dragon. My bounty is 500 million!" He puffed out his chest, trying to look intimidating, but all Coby could see was a bloated slob with a tattered straw hat.
Coby stood still, hands in his pockets, not impressed in the slightest. "500 million, huh?" he said, his voice casual. "That's cute."
Fake Coby stood up, grabbing Coby's collar with a smug grin. "What's your problem, punk? I'm Vice-Captain of the Straw Hat Crew, Coby the Copy Ninja. Bounty? 475 million. Wanna have a go with me? I've copied thousands of jutsu!" He puffed out his chest, clearly trying to intimidate.
Coby looked at him and chuckled, amused by the ridiculous claim. "Oh really? That sounds... interesting. I've always been a fan of the Straw Hats." His grin widened. "How about we exchange a few moves?"
The onlookers, still believing these fakes were the real Straw Hat crew, murmured in shock. They eyed Coby, some thinking he was signing his own death warrant, while a few squinted, recognizing something familiar about him but couldn't place it.
Fake Coby tightened his grip, his face twisting into a sneer. "You really think you can handle this?" He shoved Coby back, trying to show off. "I'll take you down in one move!"
Coby shook his head, dusting off his shirt. "You know, if you're gonna pretend to be me, at least get the hair right."
With a swift motion, Coby grabbed Fake Coby's wrist, twisting it just enough to make the imposter wince. "Let me show you how it's done," Coby muttered, spinning around and throwing Fake Coby across the street like a ragdoll. He crashed into a stall, sending crates of food flying.
The crowd gasped, watching in shock as the fake "Vice-Captain" groaned, trying to get back on his feet. The rest of the fake crew started to panic, unsure of what to do.
"Oi, that's enough," Fake Luffy barked, standing up from his makeshift throne. "You wanna mess with the real Straw Hat crew, you gotta deal with me!"
Coby raised an eyebrow, barely holding back his laughter. "Alright, 'Luffy'... let's see what you've got."
Fake Luffy pulled out a pistol from his belt, aiming it straight at Coby's head. "This is your last chance to back off, punk. I'll blow your brains out."
Without hesitation, Coby disappeared, using Shadow Step to close the distance in a blink. He appeared right in front of Fake Luffy, knocking the gun out of his hand with a light tap and kicking him square in the chest. Fake Luffy flew back, smashing into a nearby wall, leaving a crater as he slumped to the ground, wheezing.
Coby moved fast. With a quick flick of his wrist, he knocked out the fake Zoro with a brutal punch to the jaw, sending him sprawling onto the dirt. His gaze swept over the rest of the fake crew, who scrambled in panic. The crowd started to back away, unsure if they should watch or run.
The fake Sanji barely had time to blink before Coby was in front of him, driving his knee into the imposter's gut. He collapsed with a wheeze, clutching his stomach. Fake Usopp tried to make a run for it, but Coby grabbed him by the back of his shirt, slamming him down into the ground face first.
Coby turned, calmly stepping over the fake Nami as she whimpered. He delivered a swift kick to her ribs, sending her skidding across the grove. Fake Robin tried to use the distraction to swing at him from behind with a knife, but Coby twisted her arm with ease, making her drop the weapon before throwing her into the heap of bodies he was creating.
One by one, each fake Straw Hat fell, their cries filling the air as Coby systematically beat them down. When he was done, all of the fakes except for the fake Chopper were piled into a messy, groaning mound of bodies. The fox, dragging its chain, didn't tried to run but sat down, confused, looking around with big, innocent eyes.
Coby glanced at the poor creature. "You are just an innocent animal," he muttered, kneeling to release the chain from around its neck. The fake Chopper yipped in gratitude and scampered away, disappearing into the grove.
Turning back to the pile of fakes, Coby crouched, grabbing the scruff of the fake Luffy's shirt. He lifted him easily, glaring down at the pathetic, wheezing man who had pretended to be the captain of the Straw Hats.
"You imitate my crew," Coby said, his voice cold. "And bully people like it's fun?" He slammed the fake Luffy back into the ground. "Don't you know my captain hates bullies?"
The man coughed, blood sputtering from his lips. "I-I didn't mean—"
Coby didn't give him a chance to finish. With a swift motion, he grabbed the man's hand and snapped it at the wrist, eliciting a sharp scream. "Too late for excuses."
