Evander's whole body trembled. Like everything was finally crashing down on him, and it was too much for him to take.
"Yes, Gloria initially planned to kill you that night," Caspian continued with his harsh truth. "Because when she found out that you had married the woman you admired and weren't even in agony anymore, she decided to end your life and…" Caspian paused, jaw tight.
"Elijah and Lexi somehow found out about her plan. They tried to stop her. And in the end… they were the ones who got caught up in it."
Evander's body gave out. He dropped onto the couch like a limp body, like something inside him had finally broken. There was no strength left in him anymore.
