I was in a room that had a massive pool of green liquid in the center. The liquid was very warm as my bare legs met it. then I walked through the water until I made into an open black pod that had red veins that seemed to pulse as it absorbed a good chuck of the liquid from the pool. This open cocoon was in the center of the pool.
Above the pool, I saw a circular balcony where I saw a group of demon sorcerers that were chanting and causing a dark red energy to leave their hands as they pointed down at the pool.
As the black and green liquid started to mix, I could feel a shift in the properties of the liquid around me.
"Are you ready to receive your first reward for advancing to the elites of the academy?" I heard Strovose say from the balcony above me.
"Yes, as long as this will bring me one step closer to achieving my goal."
"This will do that and much more. It will absorb the blood of the enemies that you kill. Then that will circulate through your body, enhancing your spell power. Finally, after this is done, you should be able to easily cast your spells of blood magic without requiring to use a staff."
"If it will do half of what you have told me, then I want it at any cost." I told him as I walked onto the cocoon and set down in a cross-legged position.
"Ok then we will begin the fusing process. This will most likely cause you some very intense pain while we fuse it to your flesh."
As he spoke those words, I chose to ignore him instead of listening to what he said because I was focused on the power the power to fulfill my promise to my sister and to get my revenge.
The cocoon began to shut around me, and as soon as it did, I was attacked by sharp needles that came from the inside of the cocoon.
When the needles contacted my flesh, I was filled with an urge to scream in pain the deeper that they went into my skin, but I ignored it because every once of pain that I was about to endure was part of the trials that I would have to pass to make the title that the students of the academy were now calling me a reality. A dark empress would not break under this current pain.
The needles stopped moving, and then smaller ones seemed to sprout from them. As soon as they dug in, I could feel a liquid start to crawl along my body, and as if did I felt something activate inside me as if this had caused me to shatter through the current ceiling of my power as a blood mage.
Then the pain suddenly stopped, and the cocoon shattered into a bunch of pieces, causing me to be blinded by the light of the pool that I fell into the pool.
"How do you fill now that the experiment has been completed?" he asked me from above.
As my eyes started to adjust to the light, I noticed that I was in a mostly red robe that was black around my chest and had white stripes on the side.
The thing that stood out the most to me was the white gem in the center of the chest area. It seemed to glow and pulse with energy as I looked at it.
"The transformation is now complete. I need you to go and get your roommate. I will take you both to the currently weakest section of the veil." He told me as I heard him walk away from me,
I left building where I was currently at and made my way to the dorm and told Sophia about her pending reward. As she followed me, I made it out of the dorm and headed out of the school's grounds where I saw Strovose that was standing at the rendezvous point where the barrier was currently at its weakest.
It had been quite some time since I made the contract with Strovose, and I would never forget what it was that the contract was about.
The contract was to graduate at the top of my class which would grant me a title of power and increase my magical power enough to break through the veil myself and kill my village of blood elves that sold my body and soul to a demon without my consent.
"Hello Syndrell and Sophia, I am one of the great demon lords of the dark realm. I will be the person who will grant you access to the natural realm so that you can claim your servants that you are both going to receive as part of your rewards for earning a rank up in the academy. You are both now among the elite members of the school." He said as he started to wave his hands in the shape of a four-sided star.
I did a low bow to him to show my respect. As soon as I did, Sophia kneeled as if she was just following my lead.
"Arise both of you today is a day of celebration and not of political worship." He said as I saw him open both of my hands with his palms face up to show Sophia and I respect.
After I took his left hand and rose to my feet, I saw that Sophia did the same.
"Now follow me through the barrier. Make sure that you always stay near me during this journey. I do not want you to try and go kill anyone who does not need to die while we are on this journey." He said as he looked at me with a mysterious look that showed the fact that he acknowledged that he knew what thoughts were about to go through my mind.
He was right to warn me because I was thinking about using this as a method to get some of my much-needed revenge against my kin earlier than we had planned to.
That was quickly replaced with the fear of what might happen to me if I broke the contract that I had made with Strovose before coming to school here. The thought of what might happen to me made me keep my bloodlust in check.
The veil began to crack and crumble in front of me, and as soon as there was a decant sized opening, I stepped through the veil. I noticed that I was back home as soon as I made it through because of the sudden shift in the air.
"Welcome the area of the neutral region where the blood elves live, but I am very sure that you both know that since you are both originally from this area."
Then, as soon as we showed up in the village, everyone looked at us with a look of surprise as if they were seeing ghosts. It would take every ounce of my self-control to not try and kill them as soon as I met with my new power despite how easy it would be for me now that I had the power to live up my title.
"With this ring, I transport us to the human territory and to the location of the active slave market". Strovose said in a chant as soon as I saw him step through the veil.
As soon as he spoke those words, I suddenly became enveloped in a black aura, and I vanished from where I was previously standing. Would this take to the place that he had spoken, or would it cause me to end up in a place where I would have to fight my way out of?
