Ares looked like he was about to fold. He held her gaze, as his hand reached out to her.
However halfway, he breathed out, and tossed his face to the side.
"Can't," he muttered under his breath.
Angel did not pick any offense. She could see exactly how hard he was fighting.
Instead, she moved inside the bathtub, and sat close to him.
"Can I ask what happened?" She questioned after a few minutes of silence on both ends.
Ares' head went to his palm, as everything that happened the entire day, replayed in his head.
"I spoke to Nadia," he said.
"About?"
"Everything," he replied in a slightly breathless voice.
It didn't take much for Angel to figure out that whatever he had learnt, was a make or break information.
"Do you want to tell me about it?" She asked, choosing her words carefully.
"Well it does involve both of us."
"I figured," she mouthed, as she waited for him to continue.
"She talked about your parents, and my parents. The connection between all of them."
