Thaddeus and Alaric quickly pulled the people away as the monster crashed to the ground with a heavy thud, raising clouds of dust.
Laziel stood frozen in shock, his body refusing to move. Fortunately, Moryn yanked his grandson back just in time, if he had not, Laziel would've been crushed like a bug beneath the monster's massive hands.
"Fool, pay attention!" Moryn snapped, scolding his grandson.
Corath's eyes widened in disbelief, while Morgahl seethed with fury.
"How audacious! That's our great lord!" he screamed, running toward the fallen figure. He dropped to his knees and pressed his forehead to the ground.
"Forgive me, Lord, forgive me…" he chanted over and over, lost in a trance.
Meanwhile, Corath unsheathed his sword and charged at the crew but midway through, he was intercepted by Kethar. With swift precision, Kethar struck Corath's arms with the hilt of his blade, causing the weapon to drop from his grip.
