After a week away on their honeymoon, the newlyweds were back in the country. The entourage of Range Rovers screeched as they parked in front of a beautiful morden mansion.
With his hand placed on the small of her back, Felix and Brooklyn made their way inside their brand new home. A couple of their house attendants lined up to welcome them.
"We had dinner prepared for you." The butler, Ginfred gestured them to the dining room.
"I'll pass. It must be the jetlag, but I'm too tired to sit down for a meal." Brooklyn excused herself, going upstairs with one of the maids who led the way.
"I don't mind taking a bite." Felix sat down at the dining table, enjoying his meal, alone.

Early the next morning, Felix was confused to wake up alone. Brooklyn's side felt cold. Where is she?
Felix went downstairs to search for his wife.
"Nina. Have you seen my wife?"
Nina, who had just finished setting the table up for breakfast, turned around to see her boss clad in his suit, ready for work.
"I saw her heading outside at dawn."
"That early?" He scowled.
"Ma'am seemed to be in a hurry. She didn't even bring any bodyguards with her. She drove herself."
Felix sighed, quickly making his way to his car. Kane, his driver sped out of the estate, heading to the Easton group's headquarters.
"The number you have dialled is currently unavailable, please try again later."
Frustrated, Felix pressed the red button, ending the call. He had already left a couple missed calls to Brooklyn, but she was yet to pick up.
Knock Knock
"Sir. The meeting starts in 5 minutes. Everyone's waiting for you." Liam, his Personal Assistant reported.
Felix exhaled, massaging his temple region.

Later that evening
Felix was on his way to the Cooper's residence. He believed that Brooklyn might've gone to pay her parents a visit.
Vrrr
Felix opened the new message notification from Brooklyn herself.
"I just want to spend some time with my family. Don't come to pick me up. I'll be back tonight."
