Chapter 79 - CHAPTER 79 – OLIVE'S FEELINGS AND THE END OF THE FIRST VOLUME

*Note: Ok, here's a new chapter and sorry for the delay.

Today I have bad news. I've decided to leave my Patreon. The reason for this is because it takes a lot of time to keep it active, and many people have unsubscribed. I don't know if the quality of my chapters has dropped or maybe they're just tired of waiting, but the fact is that it's no longer worth it for me to maintain it, so I'll be abandoning it until further notice. However, if my To Love Ru fanfic does well, I might reopen it—but for now, I won't. Also, now that I have a job, I don't really need it. I'm sorry to those who are still subscribed, but it's just not worth it for me to keep uploading content to Patreon anymore. I'm sorry.

But don't worry, I'll continue to upload chapters in webnovel, that won't change.

And after said that, have a good day :)

...

"I know, it's just that it's... sad that he didn't believe me in the least" – I sighed.

I wanted to believe that my father would believe me, deep down I wanted it, but life is not easy, it never is and far from believing me, my father thought I was a disturbed with, surely, suicidal ideas or something like that and as far as girls were concerned, he didn't even seem to recognize their presence; as if he were ignoring them on purpose or not even seeing them.

"Brother... Whatever happens, we are with you; forever" – Claire said.

"The promise we made that day... I will fulfill it without faltering" – Fiona said.

"That's right. For us you are the most important thing and we will support you in whatever is needed, if you are sad or if you want to cry, you can do it, we are all here for you" – Bronwyn nodded.

"That's right, if you are sad, you don't need to play strong because with us here you can be sincere" – Emma nodded.

The twins nodded their heads indicating that they agreed with everyone's words.

"Indeed, you have all of us... including me" – said Olive.

"Hmm, do you mean that...?" – I asked somewhat surprised.

"I know it's not the best time to say this, but I don't know what the future will hold for us from now on, so I don't want to regret anything. Jacob, I love you and I want you to be my boyfriend" - Olive said.

With the girls present and in the most vulnerable situation Jacob could be, Olive decided to confess her feelings. Her bravery and daring were to be admired, but far from being jealous, the girls perfectly understood Olive's feelings and stepped aside, letting those two clarify their feelings once and for all. They were all Jacob's girlfriends and they were clear that for them, Jacob was the most important thing along with his family, but Olive needed to express her true feelings once and for all, after all, the future is uncertain and from now on, it won't be a simple and fun adventure, but a very hard and dangerous adventure; an adventure in which, surely, they could die at any moment if they were not constantly alert.

"And what about my grandfather?" – I asked.

Now that I know that the peculiarity "Unbreakable Love" never had the function of eliminating any kind of feeling, I was somewhat unsure about this issue, as far as Emma is concerned, the system already confirmed to me that Emma was in love only with me and not with my grandfather and the favorability meter corroborated his words, but Olive... I'm not sure of her true feelings, the favorability meter? Does that matter anymore? We all know she's in love with me, but the important thing is... What happens with my grandfather?

"There is no more Abe in my heart; only Jacob" – said Olive.

"Are you sure about it?" – I asked somewhat skeptically.

"I'm sure. I've thought about it for days and I'm sure of it. Now I only like you, Jacob and although it is true that the moments I spent with Abe were unforgettable and I will never be able to get them out of my head, my feelings of love for Abe have vanished and now only you are in my heart" – Olive said.

She had a very serious expression on her face, an expression that denoted absolute sincerity, but... in the books this also happened with Emma and in the end... They both went their separate ways and I don't want that to happen to me.

[Host, I know it's not the best time, but let me help you one more time]

What do you want?

[Technically I shouldn't tell you this, that's why it will be the last time I talk about this. Do you understand?]

Ok?

[You must confirm it. You must know that I will never help you with this matter again]

Okay, I know. Don't worry.

Surely I already know what he is going to tell me.

[Olive tells the truth, now she only loves you, believe me when I tell you that her feelings of love for Abe are a thing of the past and thanks to the peculiarity "Unbreakable Love", those feelings will never come back]

If the system tells me, then I believe it. The system has been my companion since I reincarnated in this world and never lied to me or gave me an extremely complicated mission. It was always honest with me and although there are some things it cannot say for some reason... the opportunities he has given me, the strength he has given me... make my trust in him absolute. There are few people I fully trust in this world, among them is my family (the current and the former) and the system (although not precisely in that order), so if the system tells me that, I will believe him.

"Believe me Jacob. It's the truth" – said Olive.

She wasn't lying. The truth is that it took her many sleepless nights, but she managed to clarify her feelings for Jacob. Slthough it is true that at first she liked both, Abe and Jacob, she knew that Jacob would never accept her feelings if she did not clarify her own first, so, after thinking about it for days and reflecting on her feelings, she understood everything, she began to see things that she could not see before because she was blinded by her love for Abe. Abe abandoned them and took them away from them for no reason, he formed another family and wrote them a letter saying that he did not want to know anything more about them and that they should never write him again, that was cruel, but she did not want to see reality, she always harbored hopes that Abe would return one day and even when Jacob appeared she could not fully accept Abe's death, but after thinking about it, after realizing that she loved Jacob, she realized the reality and her feelings of love for Abe gradually disappeared; as if it were magic and from that moment on, she only loved Jacob. She could never forget the good days she spent with Abe, that was a fact, but now Abe was the past and Jacob was her present and her future, because something inside her was telling her that Jacob was different from Abe and would never abandon her.

*Note: The peculiarity has nothing to do with this "Magic". This a pure love story without any Brain Washing. The feelings of the girls for Jacob are true and weren't created by a peculiarity. I'm clarifying this because some of you can thing that this feelings of "Love" could be created by the peculiarity, but that's not the case for this fic.

Olive realized those feelings and decided to make them her own, she decided to confess to Jacob the truth, but due to the recent incidents, there was no time to do it, but when she heard that Emma beat her to it, she couldn't take it anymore and confessed. She didn't care that the girls were in front of her or that it wasn't the most appropriate time to do it, she did it because she was jealous every time she saw girls flirting with Jacob and she couldn't, so she decided to gather all the courage she had inside and confess her feelings without caring about anything.

"I believe you, Olive and as I said before... I love you too" – I said.

"Will you accept me as your girlfriend as you did with all the others?" – Olive asked hopefully.

That was the key question, the answer Jacob would give her will determine her future from now on, and will change everything.

"Of course, after all, I love you, Olive" – I nodded.

"I love you too, Jacob" - said Olive.

We both stared at each other for a few seconds, Olive's lips and mine slowly starting to move closer.

"Kiss now and let's go!" – Emma said.

Her tone reflected some jealousy, but for now she had to suppress it.

Emma gave me a little push that made my lips and Olive's lips touch and we began our first kiss. Maybe it was not in the most appropriate place and time, but this place would be the witness of the beginning of our love; our eternal love.

We were kissing for what seemed like a long time, but in the end, someone separated us.

"It was a beautiful scene, but it's time to get back to the ship, the boys must be worried" – Emma said.

"Are you jealous?" – Olive asked with a smile.

"Of course not!" – Emma denied.

But her nervous tone gave her away.

"I'm really jealous and I want a kiss!" – Claire said.

Her sincerity surprised everyone, but she was not the only one who wanted to express her true feelings.

"I want to too..." – Fiona said.

"Me too" - Bronwyn nodded.

The twins also nodded, as if they were saying: "We want one too!

In the end, I had to kiss everyone to calm their jealousy before returning to the ship.

On the ship.

"How has everything gone? Have you been able to say goodbye to your father properly?" - asked Millard.

"No, my father didn't believe me and now he thinks I'm completely crazy" – I denied.

"So it has been useless... just as I thought" – Enoch said.

"Normal people have a hard time accepting our existence, no matter the time it was always like that" - Horace said.

"It's sad, but Horace is right, normal people will never accept us as we are" – Hugh nodded.

There was a moment of group sadness, as if everyone was remembering sad moments in their lives, but...

"Come on, guys! There's no time to waste! Plus, we have each other now and we're no longer alone! Those memories are now history!" – said Olive.

Now that she had Jacob by her side, she was much more cheerful and happy.

"Olive is right!" – Emma said.

And so, encouraged by what Olive said, we all got on the ship, started its engines, and set off for the unknown as we sailed through a thick fog that didn't let us see what was in front of us.

What will become of our heroes? What adventures will await them? Find out in the next volume of: A Peculiar Very Peculiar!

End of volume 1.
