*Note: here's the second volume of this fic, enjoy it!

Have a good day, everyone! :)

...

On a cold day where the sun had not even risen, in the middle of the vast sea, shrouded in a very thick fog, a ship was sailing adrift; without a specific direction. It was a huge ship, a ship that would normally be manned by experienced sailors, hardened in dozens of voyages. However, this time there was no sign of anyone who could be experienced in this field, no, the ship itself was being manned by some young people, specifically by 12 young people who did not seem to be more than 15 years old, some even seemed smaller.

But: Why were 12 children whose ages were not even 16 sailing at night and under a dense fog that did not let anyone see what was in front of them? The answer was difficult to explain, but easy to understand.

These twelve children were not normal children, children that you could find walking with their parents or shopping, no, these children were "Peculiars", children who are born with supernatural powers and who are taken in by the ymbrynes, peculiar like them who create loops so that the Peculiars can live in peace eternally, even if it is by repeating the same day.

Such peculiars would normally be quietly relaxing in their loops, worrying only about what they should do in their free time, devoid of any kind of hard work, but now it was different, as beings named Wights were planning to gather as many Ymbryne as possible, endangering the entire peculiar world and, as if that were not enough, they were accompanied by beings called "Hollows", horrible monsters thirsty for the blood and flesh of the peculiars, monsters without any reasoning whose only objective was to eat peculiars. But even with all this explanation, it is not explained why these peculiars are sailing in this huge ship.

The explanation is simple, like surely many other loops, they were attacked by the wights, but thanks to their bravery and determination, they killed the hollow and wight that tried to kill them and rescued their Ymbryne from the hands of the wight. However, they could not celebrate their incredible victory because their Ymbryne left, leaving them alone and helpless. Luckily, among them, was our protagonist, Jacob, a reincarnated person who came from another world and who reincarnated as Jacob along with a system that helps him obtain several peculiarities. Jacob, unlike the rest of the peculiars, has several peculiarities and, among them, he has a very special one that allows him to see the hollows, being, therefore, an extremely rare and necessary peculiarity in these dangerous times. However, Jacob is not alone, he has his family and also 7 beautiful girlfriends who love him wholeheartedly and want to be with him for eternity.

But let's focus on the topic: Why are Jacob and his family sailing with this ship under the dense fog and the most absolute darkness? Because after rescuing Miss Peregrine (his Ymbryne) and confessing to his father the truth about his condition, Jacob and his family, embarked on a dangerous journey to find Miss Peregrine and ask her the reason why she left them alone. But for this and since her loop was destroyed, they needed to find other loops that contained Ymbrynes, only the Ymbrynes could know why Miss Peregrine left without telling them anything. Besides, they could not stay in their old home because it was destroyed by a bomb, so they could only look for other loops, hoping to find their beloved Miss Peregrine.

I was looking out the window, trying to glimpse what was in front of me, but the thick fog prevented me from doing so, in addition, it was also quite dark and numerous drops of water began to fall from the sky, a symbol that it would soon begin to rain.

"What should we do? With this fog and darkness we cannot see anything at all; We are drifting and aimless!" – Enoch complained.

"At the moment we can only keep sailing and try to find solid ground" - said Olive.

"Solid ground? Look around you, there is only fog and darkness and to top it off, it is starting to rain. Tell me: how do you want to find solid ground in these conditions?" – Enoch asked.

"First we must calm down and think clearly. Although it is true that we have no idea where we are going, even so, we have to continue sailing, we cannot afford to stop because we don't know if the wights who left told their colleagues about us and are currently looking for us" - I said.

Our only ally, foolish as it may seem, is the fog, because although the wights can see in the dark, they cannot see through the thick layer of fog that stretched for miles around.

"You may be right, but you have to remember that we don't have food or water, we can't stay at sea for long or we risk starvation" - Millard said.

That... It's also true. It's a bit of a complicated situation and right now, my memories are sealed and I have no idea what we can do, otherwise, if my memories weren't sealed, I might find a way to go to solid ground.

"Jacob is right, but so is Millard... I propose that for the moment, we think about what we should do next" – Emma said.

We all nodded and started to think about a possible solution to the problem, but as the minutes went by, the situation began to become somewhat tense because no one could think of anything or that was what they believed...

"I have an idea, but I don't know if you're going to like it" – Olive said suddenly.

"What do you propose?" – I asked curiously.

"I want you to tie me with a rope and let me ascend. From the hights, it is very possible that I will be able to see where we are going and, with a bit of luck, I will even be able to see solid ground" – said Olive.

"But Olive, it's too cold outside and it's raining on top of that..." – Fiona said.

"That's right, you can get sick if you do" – Emma nodded.

"The girls are right, I don't want you to get sick" – I nodded.

I will do my best to avoid that.

"Thank you for caring about me, but... I have to do, otherwise we will never know where we are going and don't try to refuse again because you all know that this is the only way" – said Olive.

Olive was right, carrying out her idea was the only thing that could save us all, but as her boyfriend, I don't want something bad to happen to my girlfriend, so I was somewhat reluctant to carry out that idea despite it being, probably, the only way to save us.

"I... It's not that I like the idea, but I support you" – I finally said.

I fought against my inner demons and managed to say that in some way that I don't even know myself.

"Me too" – Emma nodded.

"And me, but be careful..." – Fiona said.

"Yes, please be very careful" – Bronwyn nodded.

Everyone else nodded.

"Perfect, also, by chance I found a rope before when I checked the cabinets, we can use it to tie Olive and prevent her from flying out into the stratosphere" – Horace said.

Apparently there was a long rope more than 4 meters long in one of the cabinets that Horace himself found before, so while we were thinking, Horace went to look for it because he knew that Olive's idea was the only way out of this desperate situation.

Little by little we tied the rope around Olive's delicate waist (although it was only me as she was the one who asked me), and after tying it tightly, the moment of truth arrived. By the way, it is not worth worrying about whether it was wrongly tied because in my previous life I watched some videos on Youtube about how to make different kinds of knot and I learned a few quite useful ones. Why did I watch that kind of videos? I don't know, it was a few weeks when I was bored and Youtube recommended one of those videos to me for some reason, so I just entertained myself by watching them. They were relaxing and the person who taught how to make them didn't talk much and had a soft voice, so it was even relaxing, besides, I'm sure everyone has had the same thing happen to me. Of course, it passed a lot of time since that, but I remember some of them.

"It's a pretty well-made knot. Sre you an expert at tying knots or something?" – Horace asked curiously.

He also had some knowledge about knots.

"Ehem, I wouldn't know how to explain it so you understand, so... would you understand if I said I watched it on TV?" – I said.

I can't tell him that I watch it in a Youtube video. He won't even know what's Youtube and it will be tedious for me to explain everything to him.

"I see, I suppose that in your time televisions have many programs and in one of them, they teach you to tie knots. Am I wrong?" – Horace asked.

"Something like that" – I nodded.

In a sense it is similar; I guess.

"Ehem, I don't think it's the time to talk about knots" - Emma said.

"You're right, sorry. By the way, who will grab the rope?" – I asked.

"I'll do it. I think I'm the best for this kind of things" - Bronwyn said.

No one complained, after all, Bronwyn had a strength that surpassed all of us put together with ease, so holding on to a rope was a piece of cake for her, besides, if something went wrong, it wouldn't be difficult for her to pull the rope to rescue Olive.

"Let's go" - said Olive.

Then, she took off the heavy shoes she was wearing and began to float while Bronwyn held the rope firmly.
