"Hinata, Hanabi, let's go."
After helping Hyūga Hinata awaken her Tenseigan, Mirai was ready to leave with the sisters.
But just as they were about to head out, the trio stumbled upon a field filled with countless gravestones.
"These are..."
"The fallen Ōtsutsuki clan members who once lived on the moon?"
Hinata's voice carried a hint of sorrow.
Despite sharing the same ancestors, the branch of the Ōtsutsuki who lived on the moon had met a tragic end.
It was a somber sight.
Hanabi, however, let out a cold snort.
"Lord Mirai, why don't we destroy all these gravestones?"
Unlike Hinata, Hanabi felt no sympathy. After what Ōtsutsuki Toneri had done, her heart held nothing but loathing for the entire lunar branch of the clan.
Trying to destroy the shinobi world?
They didn't deserve mercy—even reducing them to dust wouldn't be enough.
"Fine by me," Mirai said without hesitation. He wasn't the forgiving type.
Raising both arms, he declared, "Shinra Tensei!"
A massive repulsive force burst out, shattering every gravestone into rubble. Bones and debris scattered across the area in all directions.
Hanabi clapped with delight at the destruction.
But then—a sudden change.
From deep within the graveyard, a man with a horn protruding from his forehead slowly emerged.
His gaze passed over Uchiha Mirai, then swept across Hinata and Hanabi.
"Are you... my descendants?"
Hanabi frowned. "And who exactly are you supposed to be?"
"My name is Ōtsutsuki Hamura," the man replied. "I was the first to settle on the moon."
"Every Ōtsutsuki who lived here... were my descendants."
Hanabi replied casually, "Then they're all dead now."
Hamura blinked, clearly confused. "Then... who are you?"
"This is Lord Uchiha Mirai. That's my older sister, Hyūga Hinata."
"And I'm Hyūga Hanabi, thank you very much."
"Uchiha... Hyūga..."
Hamura murmured their names under his breath. Then his tone shifted.
"What do you mean all my descendants are dead?"
"And this place... Did you do this?"
"What are your intentions?"
His expression turned cold.
If these three were trying to help Ōtsutsuki Kaguya break free from her seal, then no matter what, he had to stop them.
Sensing his shift in attitude, Mirai spoke calmly,
"Your Ōtsutsuki clan really does love pulling the same tired tricks."
The Sage of Six Paths had been hiding in the Pure Land, watching the world. Indra and Asura continued to reincarnate...
And now, even Ōtsutsuki Hamura had revived briefly, just because the graveyard was destroyed?
These guys were really something else.
The disdain in Mirai's eyes made Hamura uneasy. He suddenly sensed an overwhelming, dangerous presence from the man before him.
Before Hamura could react, Mirai moved.
The soul-targeting technique ripped through Hamura's spiritual form. Since his physical body had long decayed and this was only a spiritual resurrection, the blow was devastating.
Hamura hadn't expected such a direct and powerful attack—he took the full force of it.
The pain lanced through his soul, drawing an involuntary cry of anguish.
His figure started to flicker and fade.
"Whatever you do... do not release Mother. She will bring disaster."
Hamura forced out the words.
Mirai, understanding the sincerity behind Hamura's warning, finally spoke.
"Since you were the one who sealed Kaguya, I'll let you die with some clarity."
He gave Hamura a brief rundown of what had happened since Kaguya's sealing—the civil war among the lunar Ōtsutsuki and how it led to their extinction.
Only then did Hamura seem to find peace.
"My descendants... twisted my will. Fortunately, it didn't lead to a catastrophe."
"And now that you've become the Ten-Tails' Jinchūriki, and wield power beyond even Mother... I can rest easy."
His spiritual form dissolved completely, vanishing into the air.
...
Mirai paused, thoughtful.
Maybe... he should release Kaguya.
After all, it's not like she could possibly pose a threat to him anymore. And she might have answers about the Ōtsutsuki clan he couldn't get anywhere else.
With that in mind, he turned to Hinata and Hanabi.
"I'm going to break the seal."
He then unleashed his Yin-Yang Release and dispelled the ancient seal on the moon.
In the next instant, a woman with long, flowing blue-white hair appeared before them.
"I'm finally free..." she murmured, her voice faint and distant.
But her expression quickly twisted in confusion.
Something was wrong.
She couldn't sense the Ten-Tails' chakra.
According to her plan, Black Zetsu should have manipulated someone into becoming the Ten-Tails' Jinchūriki, allowing her to take over the body and regain her power.
But now? Someone had simply released her. She had no control over the Ten-Tails.
No chakra.No Black Zetsu.Nothing.
Her gaze finally landed on Mirai, Hinata, and Hanabi.
...
"You're the ones who released me?"
Hinata and Hanabi studied her curiously.
So this was the progenitor of chakra?
She was... beautiful.
Their reaction clearly displeased Kaguya. Without warning, she launched an attack—her Rabbit Hair Needles flying toward them.
"Eight Trigrams: Rotation!"
Hinata and Hanabi responded in unison, spinning into their defensive technique and deflecting the assault.
"Hey!" Hanabi snapped. "What's your problem, attacking us out of nowhere?!"
"I owe you no explanation," Kaguya replied coldly, her frown deepening.
She was too weak.
She couldn't even kill two mere humans.
"I must regain control of the Ten-Tails... I need to reclaim all chakra."
If she didn't, her own clan would eliminate her the moment they sensed her return.
With that thought, she finally spoke again.
"Humans... Have you heard of Black Zetsu?"
"You broke my seal—do you even know who I am?"
Hanabi raised an eyebrow. "You're Ōtsutsuki Kaguya, right? Lord Mirai was the one who let you out."
Kaguya's expression darkened. "How dare you speak my name so casually!"
"Answer me, directly!"
Hinata and Hanabi exchanged looks.
Wasn't this supposed to be the legendary Rabbit Goddess?
She seemed... kinda insane.
