It was right around closing time for the Mystery Shack, Stan had already let his grandnieces, nephews, Soos and his cousins off for the today. While they were lounging or doing whatever they did once he let them leave, he was busy conning the last tourists for the day.
"For tonight's final illusion, we have the incredible 'Sack of Mystery'. When you put your money in it, it mysteriously disappears!" Stan said in a mysterious tone.
Now, one would think that no one was dumb enough to buy that. But Stan had been conning people for a while now, and he knew how dumb they could be. So it didn't come as a surprise when the tourists happily placed their money into the sack without a care in the world.
Meanwhile, the Loud's, Soos, Ronne Anne, and Bobby were watching TV in the living room. And the show they were watching a favorite amongst the Loud's, which was The Dream Boat.
"5 contestants are left and only one wins Lacey's heart. Will it be, Brad, the sports star?"
An athletic African American man was shown on screen and threw a Football.
"Yes! Choose him!" Lynn yelled.
"Or will it be either twin brothers, Jake or Johnny, body builder and Novelist respectively?"
Jake was flexing with one arm, while his other arm was lifting a weight. While Johnny was thinking and writing stuff in a Journal that had his ideas for his book.
"Or will it be up and coming musician, Henry?"
Henry was tuning his guitar. Once he was on camera, he started to play it.
"Pick him! He'll bring the tunes when you go on dates!" Luna said.
"Or will it be sexy Spaniard, Jose?"
Jose was shirtless and his hair was flowing in the wind and he gave a sexy smile to the camera.
All the girls swooned at him while Soos nodded in approval. Lincoln and Bobby saw Ronnie Anne and Lori swoon, with Lincoln feeling odd for some reason, while Bobby felt jealous.
"Only five remain and one will be going overboard, find out who, on the next… The Dream Boat. Right after these messages."
"He just has to pick Jose! He's dreamy." Lori swooned.
"True but, Johnny is a good pick. He seems deep and he's so mysteriousy while he writes. Right Luce?" Mabel said.
"Yep." Lucy said with smile grin.
The show then went to a commercial that showed a hand summoning a flock of doves.
"Hey, It's that commercial I was telling you guys about." Soos said.
"Are you completely miserable?" The announcer asked.
An actor was crying miserably and said, "YES!"
"Then you need to meet… Gideon!" The announcer whispered the last part.
"Gideon?" Dipper said.
"He's a psychic."
"Aroo?" Mabel and Leni said in confusion.
"He's sounds interesting." Lucy said.
"So don't waste your time with other so-called 'man of mystery'.
The commercial then showed an unflattering clip of Stan coming out of an outhouse, and trying to get some toilet paper off his shoe and is stamped with the word 'FRAUD'.
"Learn about tomorrow, tonight at Gideon's Tent of Telepathy."
The commercial ended and everyone looked at each other, not buying what was said or were skeptical.
Bobby and Ronnie Anne looked at each other; they never believed into Psychic's. But the one person they did know who did was their Abuela, who listened and was a huge of a Psychic named Ernesto Estrella back home. But considering what had been happening since they've been in Gravity Falls, they should start to reconsider.
"Please, the thought of someone being able to have powers over the mind, or have precognitive capabilities is preposterous." Lisa scoffed, not even believing what was said for even a nano-second.
"How about my predictions with my fortune-telling cards?" Lucy challenged as she brought out the cards in question.
"Mere coincidences and we've been through this already before." Lisa said.
She was still metaphorically kicking herself over believing Lucy's predictions when she and the rest of the family went on the family trip at Grand Venture State Park. And she ended up being fooled by the fake Dowl that Ranger tried pull on her.
Lincoln also realized what she was talking about, and scowled when he thought something bad was going to happen to him during that time. He spent the entire day freaking out, and he didn't enjoy the trip until the geyser went off.
But he then looked interested, and said," I mean, it can't hurt to check this guy out."
"Same, considering some of the weird stuff we've seen so far, it can't hurt to check." Dipper agreed.
"Same, I want to see him too! Wow, I'm getting all curiousy inside just thinking about it!" Mabel said.
Stan walked in, having heard what they said, and said," Well, don't get too curiousy. Ever since that monster Gideon rolled into town, I've had nothin' but trouble."
It was one thing to steal his parking space, it was another thing to steal all the potential customers he could've scammed. The latter issue was what he drew the line at, and he didn't want anyone who was related to him or worked for him to be anywhere near the competition.
"Please, stealing a parking spot isn't the end of the world." Lori said with a roll of her eyes. "Also not that I believe the commercial, I do actually want to see this Gideon." She admitted with the others nodding in agreement.
"Never! You're all forbidden from patronizing the competition. No one that lives under my roof or works for me is allowed under that Gideon's roof!" Stan stated, and walked out of the room.
"Do tents have roofs?" Lincoln asked.
Ronnie Anne smirked, and said," No, they don't, lame-o."
Leia smiled and said, "I think we just found our loop hole." She then held up a string with a loop in it. "Mwop mwop!"
Luan giggle and said," Your right Lei, no strings attached!"
She and Leia laughed while everyone else groaned.
The next night, the group found themselves at the Tent of Telepathy. With how packed the area was with cars and people wanting to see the supposed psychic. They could see why Stan was jealous of Gideon, and saw him as competition. And also the ones who were into Social Media heard a lot of good things about Gideon, ranging from his flair for the dramatics, charisma and his psychic abilities. Although they couldn't find anything on what Gideon looked like for some reason, which added the mysteriousness to him. Although the thought of Gideon being another conman like Stan was in the forefront of their minds. But they were still curious.
An adult man with a straw hat and Hawaiian shirt was standing outside the tent, he had nametag that said Bud on it, was holding a sack. "Step right up there, folks. Put your money in Gideon's psychic sack."
The Loud's and the others sat down, with some of them even having some snacks. They all looked around, and could see the similarities between this place and the Shack.
"This is literally like the Mystery Shack. Scams and all." Lori said as she looked around.
"Like I don't know, the Mystery Shack doesn't allow people to go camping. Unlike this place." Leni said.
Knowing what she meant, Luna corrected her by saying, "Leni, the tent is for the show, no one is camping in this."
"Oh."
"But Lori does have a point. They even have their own Soos and I guess Lana and Bobby." Lincoln said as he looked to the side.
The others did as well, and were surprised to see three employees that looked similar to the people in question, but looked different. Soos and Bobby narrowed their eyes at their lookalikes, not liking what they were seeing. While Lana scratched her head in confusion.
The lights then started to dim, and music started to play.
"It's starting!" Leia excitedly said.
The spotlights shined at the center of the curtains. A silhouette of a big man was shown behind the curtain, and suspenseful music was playing as he prepared to come out.
"Let's see what this monster looks like." Lucas said.
"Bet ya this guy is as old as Stan." Lynn said with a chuckle.
The curtains then pulled apart, and Gideon came into view. What they weren't expecting was a kid who looked to be close to Lincoln's age. He had poofed up white hair, had a small blue business like suit that had a cape in the back.
"Hello America! My name is Li'l Gideon said in a southern drawl. He then clapped his hands, and doves flew out of his hair, and the crowd cheered.
For everyone from the Mystery Shack, all they could do was blink in both surprise and confusion at who Stan's rival was.
"He's like totes adorable!" Leni gushed.
"That's Stan's mortal enemy?" Dipper said in confusion.
Ronnie Anne shrugged and said," I can see it, using cute little kids to drum up business makes sense. I mean, Abuelo has done that a couple of times with us back at the Mercado."
Bobby snickered and said," Yeah, it's funny whenever Carl fumes when people state how adorable or cute he is."
"I sense a small darkness within him. It's either that, or he's too bright." Lucy said with a slight shudder.
"Ladies and gentlemen, it is such a gift to have you here tonight!... Such a gift. I have a vision. I predict that you will soon all say, 'aww'.
Gideon makes a cute pose and the crowd said 'awww."
"It came true." Mabel said in awe.
Leni agreed by saying," He's really like Psychic!"
Lola rolled her eyes and said," Amateur."
"I'm not impressed." Dipper said.
"Agreed." Lincoln and Lisa said.
"You're impressed!" Mabel said cheerfully.
"Hit it, Dad!" Gideon said.
Bud started playing the piano and Gideon starts singing a song, after he threw his cape into the audience. This soon caused a fight amongst those who wanted it.
Oh, I can, see what others can't see
It's ain't some sideshow trick
It's innate ability
Where others are blind, I am futurely inclined
And you too could see, if you was widdle ol' me!
"I could see, but I'm not him. Am I?" Leni said perplexed and was shushed by Luna.
Gideon then motioned everyone to stand up. "Come on, everybody, rise up! I want y'all to keep it going!"
The audience and the small group rose up, and then started to clap along to the beat, seemly unintentionally.
"What? How did he?" Lucas said confused.
"I don't remember getting up?" Lincoln said in confusion as well.
"That was freaky, and that's coming from me." Lucy said, with a hint of fear.
You wish you son would call you more.
"I'm leaving everything to my cats!" Said an old woman, who had a cat on her lap, he was singing to.
I can sense that you've been here before.
"Oh, what gave it away?" Sheriff Blubs said and he was shown to be wearing various Li'l Gideon merchandise.
"Come on." Dipper said in an exasperated tone.
"That's merely coincidental." Lisa said and rolled her eyes.
Gideon soon came over to the Loud's and sang to Mabel.
I'll read your mind if I'm able
But something tells me your name is Leia!
"How did he know?" Mabel said as Gideon left but her family and friends knew she was wearing a sweater with her name on it
So welcome all ye
To the Tent of Telepathy
And thanks for visiting widdle ol' me!
At the end of that, a sign with Gideon's name descended down and blue fire shot out of it.
Gideon finishes and takes a drink of water and said to the audience," Thank you! You people are the real miracles!" He finished and took a bow.
Everyone cheered, except for the Loud's, Soos and the Santiago's didn't. Although both Leni and Mabel did, with the latter cheering the loudest of them. Everyone soon existed the tent, once the show was done and everyone gave their own opinion of Gideon.
"Man, that kid's an even bigger fraud than Stan. No wonder our Uncle's jealous." Dipper said.
"I got to hand it to him though, dude. Kid has some good pipes and his Southern Drawl seems to blend nicely." Luna said.
"I'll admit, singing and his cuteness will get him places alright. But I'm pretty sure his ego will get the best of him later on and he'll become self-centered." Lola said.
"Kinda like you?" Lana said with a chuckle.
Lola growled menacingly and she was soon held back by Lincoln and Lynn when she lunged at Lana in anger.
"Ok, calm down Lola. But I agree with Luke." Lincoln said.
"C'mon you guys. His dance moves were adorable! And did you see his hair? It was like, whoosh!" Mabel said and threw her arms to the sides for emphasis.
"You're too easily impressed." Dipper said.
"That I am!" She said as they left.
What they didn't notice was that Gideon had heard them, and looked out from behind the curtain. And he looked to be thinking of something.
The next day, the Loud's and other were lounging around the Shack. Stan had caught them last night coming back from Gideon's, and he would've been angry, but they came up with the excuse that they were spying on him, and see if they could figure out anything that could help the Shack. While that pacified Stan a little bit, he still didn't like that they were in the same room as his competition. And he was keeping an eye on them just in case.
The Loud brothers were sitting at the table in the living room, when Mabel came into the room, and it was covered sequins.
"Check it out you guys, I successfully bedazzled my face! Blink! Ow." Mabel said a she blinked.
"Is that permanent?" Dipper asked with a raised brow.
"I'm unappreciated in my time." Leia sadly said, and they then heard the doorbell ring.
"Somebody answer the door!" Stan called from another room.
"I'll get it!" Mabel said as she wiped off the sequins from her face.
Mabel went to the door, opened it , and was surprised to see Gideon was there.
"It's wittle ol' you!" Mabel said surprised.
Gideon chuckled, and said," Yeah, my song's quite catchy. I know we haven't formally met, but after yesterday's performance, I just couldn't get your laugh out of my head."
"You mean this one? Hahahaha!"
"Oh what a delight! When I saw you in the audience, I said to myself 'Now there's a kindred spirit!' Someone who appreciates the sparkly things in life."
"That's totally me!" Mabel gasped, but then ended up coughing up some sequins. Some of them ended up on Gideon's suit, but he didn't seem to mind.
"Who's at the door?" Stan called.
Mabel knew her Great Uncle wouldn't like her talking or hanging out with Gideon, but then had an idea.
"There's a guy in a suit here Grunkle Stan! I think he's from the government!"
"What?! Quick someone come and help me burn some questionable docu- I mean someone help me clean up my office!" Stan panicked yell was heard and then the slamming of a door.
"I appreciate your discretion. Now, Stan's no fan of mine. I don't know how a lemon so sour could be related to peach so sweet." Gideon complimented the Loud girl.
Mabel looked flattered, and giggled," Gideon! Aha ha!"
"What do you say we step away from here, and chat for a bit more? Perhaps in my dressing room?"
Mabel looked excited, and said, "Oh makeovers! Is it alright if I get a couple of my sisters? They would love to get makeovers."
Gideon looked worried for a second, but recovered, and said," Actually, would it be alright if we do it with just the two of us? Surely your sisters wouldn't mind? Please?"
Mabel thought about it for a moment, she knew the others wouldn't like her to leave them out of something like this, especially Lola. But it was only one time, so wouldn't hurt.
"You got yourself a deal. Lead the way."
Later, Gideon brought Mabel to his house, and led her to his dressing room. She gasped in awe when he opened the door, and found rows of different kinds of clothing, as well a full on makeup booth. She felt guilty not bringing any of her sisters along with her, especially Leni and Lola, who would both be heaven here. But she was too in awe to give it a second thought.
"You see something you like? Cause I do." Gideon whispered the last part as he looked at Mabel.
Mabel only laughed distractedly, not hearing what he said.
Later, after getting a makeover, and saying goodbye to Gideon, Mabel walked into the shack, and found some of her family and Ronnie Anne in the living room.
"Hey guys, check it out." Mabel said.
They all looked at her, with the ones who were more into makeovers and fashion, that being Lori, Leni and Lola, crowded her excitedly.
"Eeee! You look totes adorbs Leia!" Leni gushed and inspected the handy work.
"Wow, who did this? They literally did quite well." Lori nodded.
Lincoln raised a brow and asked," Why are your nails sharp like that? They remind me of a character from one of my comics."
"Yeah and where have you been?" Dipper asked.
Lola frowned, yes she was in awe at the makeover her older sister got, and wanted to question her on it. But there was one glaring issue that needed to be addressed," How come you didn't ask any of us to come along? I pretty sure your wearing a brand of eye shadow I've been dying to get, but it's too expensive."
Mabel looked guilty, and said," Sorry girls, I was hanging out with Gideon. And your right Lola, he has some crazily cool makeup. Some even were foreign."
The last part only made Lola angry, knowing how expensive those kinds were. But she knew she shouldn't get made, lest she wouldn't get the chance to use some.
Ronnie Anne raised a brow, and said," You sure you should be hanging out with the little guy? He could be trying something."
Mabel waved the Latina off, and said," Pssh, your over thinking it Ronnie. Gideon's cool. Also girls, I could ask Gideon if I can take you guys along for a makeover."
With that, their previous anger or jealousy was forgotten, and the three girls squealed just thinking of what they could do. And they then started to bombard her with questions and compliments.
Meanwhile the others who weren't into makeup or anything girly rolled their eyes.
"I don't see what the big deal is." Lana said.
"Same." Lincoln, Dipper and Ronnie Anne said.
Soos then came into the room, holding a package of Hotdogs.
"Hey dudes! You want to blow up these hot dogs in the microwave one by one?" Soos asked.
"We sure do!" The four of them happily said, wanting to get away from the makeup talk.
Later that day everyone, minus Stan, was inside listening to how Gideon had asked Mabel out on a date. The Loud girl wasn't interested in the boy, but she didn't want to hurt his feelings by saying no.
"It's not a date-date, it's just, you know, I didn't want to hurt is feelings and so I figured I'd throw him a bone." Mabel explained.
Luna thought otherwise and said, "I'm not so sure sis. This could turn out badly. Not that's it wrong but you have to look at it from a certain point of view."
"Luna's right, guys don't work that way. He's gonna fall in love with you. Show a small amount of kindness and things will go downhill. Look how it had happened with Clyde and Lori. Before he got over his crush." Lincoln said.
Lori nodded, and said, "He has a point. I'm still glad Clyde got over his crush of me. And so have my shoes." She said the last part with a shutter from all the times Clyde's nosebleeds stained her shoes.
Mabel scoffed and said," Gideon isn't Clyde guys. And I haven't seen any signs, like nosebleeds or going overboard to impress me."
Before anyone could answer, the doorbell rang and Mabel went to answer the door. When she went to open it, a horse busts through and she shrieks in fright.
Gideon, who was on the horse, held out his hand and said," A night of enchantment awaits, m'lady!"
"Oh boy." Mabel said, starting to see what her siblings meant.
Mabel got on the horse and they rode off with her siblings looking at what just happened.
"Well, we might literally have a problem." Lori said with a raised eyebrow, with the others agreeing with her
"True but on another note. You think he can let me ride that horse?" Lola asked, and the others gave her flat looks.
Later, while Mabel was still out, Stan had started to read the paper, and he was shocked and his anger grew when he saw the headline. It was of Gideon, and even if he had cataracts, he was sure that the girl he was with was his Grandniece. He walked into the gift shop, where everyone else was at.
"Hey, hey! What the jackal is Mabel doing in the paper next to that crazy pickpocket Gideon?!"
"Oh, yeah, it's like a big deal. Everybody's talking about Gideon and Mabel's big date tonight." Wendy said from her spot at the Cash Register.
"WHAT?! That little shyster is dating my great niece?!"
"I wonder what the new name will be for the power couple. Mabideon? Gideabel? Or maybe Magidbeleon!" Soos said.
"Ooo, I like Mabideon." Leni said.
Stan soon exited in anger.
"All of us didn't know! I didn't hear about it and plus, we all told her not to." Dipper said, hoping that would calm any anger their Great Uncle had towards them.
Stan re-entered with his work suit on and said," Yeah, well it ends tonight. I'm going right down to that little skunks' house, this is gonna stop RIGHT now!" He said and slammed the door.
"Wouldn't Grunkle Stan get sprayed by the skunk and come back smelling grody?" Leni asked confused with the people in the room groaning.
Later, everyone was hanging out in the living room, and they all heard the door open. Mabel had returned, and walked into the room with a conflicted look.
"Hey sis, how did it go?" Lincoln asked.
"I don't know. I have a lobster now." Mabel said as she placed a lobster into the fish tank.
"But you did end things with him right? You made it clear?" Lincoln asked.
Mabel let out a frustrated yell, and said," I couldn't do it! And now I have another date with him!"
Lori went over to her, got down to her level, placed comforting hand on her shoulder, and said," Leia, it's not that hard. I've been on plenty of dates, and ended them without issue."
Mabel would've felt better by that, but she wasn't, and said," It's not that easy Lori! I do like Gideon, as a friend or another little sister, so I didn't want to hurt his feelings! So I didn't say no!"
Dipper sighed and said to his twin," Okay, all you have to says is no sis. I mean, we faced worse stuff from gnomes who wanted to marry you, an animatronic lake monster and homicidal cursed wax figures. Letting down Gideon is a walk in the park compared to those scenarios."
Mabel nodded, her twin was right, she could do this.
Or not.
Mabel was on a boat with Gideon, and also Old Man McGucket, who was rowing the boat, down the lake at night. Leia wasn't blind to how romantic the setting was, and the confidence she had earlier was now lost.
"Boat in the night! Boat in the night!" McGucket said and laughed.
Mabel laughed nervously and said," Hah, you know I thought dancing was gonna be the end of the evening, right?"
Gideon leaned in, and held her hands, and said," Don't you want this evenin' to last, my sweet?"
Mabel pulled away and yelled," No! I mean I'm always happy to hang out with a friend, buddy, pal, chum, other word for friend…"
"Pal?" McGucket offered.
"I already said pal… uh, mate?"
"How about, soul mate?" Gideon whispered the last part.
No sooner did he say that, fireworks shot out into the sky, and once they exploded, they spelled out Mabel's name not her nickname, but actual name 'Leia' and it was inside a heart.
"Well, you can't say no to that." McGucket said.
Mabel could only look on in horror and trepidation.
Once they were back on land, Mabel ran back to the house as fast as she could, her mind running a mile a minute with thoughts. Everyone was taken by surprise when Mabel slammed the door open, and were even more concerned when she came into the room, and started to pace.
"I mean, he's so nice but… I can't keep doing this. But I can't break his heart. I have no way out!" Mabel shouted as she paced.
Lynn took out her whistle, and blew as hard as she could, besides giving everyone a headache, Mabel jumped out of her pacing, and stopped.
"Thanks Lynn."
"No problem, but now, timeout and tell us what happened." The sporty girl said.
"Yeah, what the heck happened on that date?" Lucas asked.
"I don't know! I was in the friend zone, and then before I knew what was happening, he pulled me into the romance zone. It was like quicksand! Chubby quicksand!"
"I mean, it couldn't be that, sis?" Luna said.
"He used fireworks Luna! That's a big romantic gesture!"
Luna winced, and said," Oh yeah… that is a big gesture."
Mabel groaned, and said," I have no way out!"
"And there always is a way out sis. I mean, it's not like you have to marry him." Lincoln said.
Stan chose that time by coincidence to come into the house, the most noticeable thing was that he was wearing a Gideon T-shirt that showed his gut. And he happily said," Great news, Mabel. You have to marry Gideon!"
"WHAT?!" Everyone yelled in shock.
Lori looked aghast and said," Grunkle Stan, who are you to literally decided something like that?"
"It's all part of my long term deal with Buddy Gleeful. There's a lot of cash tied up in this thing. Plus I got this shirt." Gestures to his 'Team Gideon' shirt. "I am fat."
Mabel screams and runs out of the room.
"Bodies, change, honey! Bodies change!" Stan called.
"Ok, I'm not the only one who thinks this is completely bogus right?" Luna said, and everyone voiced their agreement.
"Yeah, and Mabel doesn't like Gideon like that. And no one can decide who you like. Especially her family. Am I right girls?" Lincoln asked his others sisters.
The girls agreed, without realizing the irony of what they were agreeing too. Ronnie Anne did, realizing he was also referring to a couple of certain incidents between her and Lincoln. She hoped no one saw her blush.
Stan didn't seem to agree and said," That's what you think. I'm going to crunch some numbers to see how much cash will be flowing." He said, and walked out of the room.
"Whatever, I'll go talk to her." Dipper said.
"I'll go to." Lincoln said.
"And I will read whatever poppycock legal binding agreement our Great Uncle supposedly signed to see if everything checks out or if there is any loopholes. Just in case." Lisa said and readjusted her glasses.
Both brothers found their sister in the attic bedroom. She had her sweater over her head, and you can feel the sad and heavy atmosphere.
"Hey sis." Lincoln said gently.
"Mabel's not here. She's in sweater town." Was her answer.
"Are you going to come out of sweater town?" Dipper asked.
Her response was to let out a whine and shake her head. Both brother gave her sympathetic looks, and sat down near her.
"Alright, enough is enough. If you can't break up with Gideon, how's about Lincoln and I do it for you?"
"You will?" Mabel asked as she peaked out.
Lincoln nodded, and said," Yeah, I know the others would say you have to do it yourself. But at the rate things are going, that won't be anytime soon."
Mabel gout of her sweater with a squeal and hugged her brothers," Thank you, thank you, thank you!"
Later, after giving an excuse to the rest of their family and friends on where they were going. The two Loud boys went to the club that Leia was supposed to meet Gideon at. They found him sitting at a table, looking at a big menu. They approach him and Lincoln cleared his voice and Gideon looked in their direction.
"Oh. Dipper or Lucas and Lincoln Loud, how are you? You both look good."
Lincoln had a raised eyebrow and said, "Thanks… look Gideon. We've gotta talk. Mabel isn't joining you tonight, She uh… how do I put?"
"Unfortunately, she doesn't want to see you anymore. Laugh's nervously… she's uh. She's kinda weirded out by you, no offense." Dipper said gently.
"What my brother is trying to say is… yeah, she doesn't like you that way, she just wants to remain friends." Lincoln finished.
Gideon's eye twitched and the brothers didn't notice and said," So what you're sayin' is… you've… come between us." His eye twitched again.
"You're not gonna like, freak out or anything, are ya?" Dipper asked sorta concerned.
"Of course not. These things happen. Bygones, you know." Gideon said with his anger boiling but kept his cool demeanor, which the brother didn't notice.
"So. Okay. Cool. Then again, sorry man, but uh, hey, thumbs up. Huh?" Dipper said as he left.
"Yeah, plenty of fish in the sea and all. Thank you for understanding." Lincoln said and followed his brother.
"Thumbs up indeed, my friends." Gideon said in a whisper, which sounded like he had ulterior motive.
Outside, Mabel waited anxiously for her brothers, and she perked up when she saw them come out.
"So how did it go? Was he mad? Did he try to read your mind with his psychic powers?" She asked.
"All's fine, and don't worry Lei, he's just a kid." Lincoln reassuringly said.
"Yeah, he doesn't have any powers." Dipper said with him and Lincoln chuckling.
Later on, Gideon was in his room fuming and planning on what to do about Dipper and Lincoln.
"Dipper and Lincoln Loud, you don't know what you've both done!" He growled as he grabbed his amulet.
A candle started to levitate and the light bulb on his lamp exploded. Other things around the room began to levitate.
"You both made the biggest mistakes of your lives!" He finished and all the levitated stuff fell to the ground.
The door to his room opened with Bud saying sternly," Gideon Charles Gleeful, clean up your room this instant!"
"I CAN BUY AND SELL YOU, OLD MAN!"
"… Fair enough." He said and closed the door.
Gideon looked at a photo he somehow gotten of the Loud siblings and burned away all of their pictures except for Leia's.
The next day, Lynn had managed to convince everyone to play a baseball game. She and Dipper were helping Soos get patted up because he was going to be the official behind the umpire, who was Lana.
"Alright, one of you dudes hit me in the gut as hard as you can." Soos said with a determined look.
"I got this." Lynn said and punched Soos in the gut.
When she did, Soos didn't flinch because of the padding and the pillow he was wearing.
"Feels good." He said with a grin and everyone laughed.
They soon heard the phone ring from inside and considering Grunkle Stan was off doing who knows what, one of them had to get it.
"So, who's going to get it?" Lucas asked.
Everyone looked at him and he sighed. Dipper ran to the house and got the phone.
"Hello?"
"Toby Determined, Gravity Falls Gossiper."
"Oh hey man. Sorry for accusing you of murder a while back." Dipper said as he scratched the back of his neck.
"Water under the bridge! Say, is your other brother around? This concerns the both of you."
Dipper had a confused look, shrugged it off and said," Alright. Hey Linc! Phone call for you!"
Lincoln came in a second later and said," Who is it?"
"Toby Determined, needs to talk to us about something. And no, it isn't about the whole murder thing."
Lincoln went over to the phone, and said," What's up?"
"Oh good your both there! We want to interview you both. About whether you've seen anything unUSUAL about this here TOWN since you've arrived. And an expose on how you travERSE through 11 sisters!" Toby said in his usual happy tone.
"Sweet! I knew someone would want to interview me about that!" Lincoln cheered.
"Finally! I thought nobody would ever ask! I do have notes and theories. And the address is?... 412 Gopher road. Tonight? Got it."
Once they hung up, both boys high-fived each other.
"Man, we're going to be famous!" Lincoln cheered as they ran out.
"Hey, where are you guys going? We're about to start!" Lynn called.
"Later! We're famous!" Dipper yelled.
Everyone looked on as they took a Mystery Cart and drove off. Everyone shrugged it off and went on to start playing.
Later on, both boys made it to the location, which was a warehouse. Dipper was the one to open the door, and both boys looked around as they walked inside.
"Hello?" Lincoln called.
The brothers shrugged and turned to leave, only for the door to slam shut. They got nervous and started to bang on the door and then turned around when the lights started to turn on.
'Well isn't this a perfect horror movie scenario.' Lincoln thought nervously.
A chair turned around and Gideon was sitting their petting a doll of himself.
"Hello friends." He said weird cheerful way.
The both of them groaned in annoyance.
"Ughh, Gideon." Dipper responded.
"Lucas and Lincoln. How long have you've been livin' in this town? A week, two? You like it here? Enjoy the scenery?" He said the last part in a whisper.
"Yeeah… can't complain." Lincoln said with a shrug.
"Yeah, what do you want from us, man?" Lucas said.
"Listen carefully. This town has secrets you couldn't begin to comprehend!" He said in a low voice.
"Is this still about Leia? We told you, she's not into you!" Dipper said and Lincoln nodded.
"LIAR! YOU BOTH turned her against me!" Gideon grabbed his amulet and walked towards them. "She was my peach dumplin'!"
"Uh, are you ok?" Lincoln asked in an uncertain voice.
Gideon proceeded to levitate both Dipper and Lincoln, and they both have shocked expressions. They were both then flung into a pile of merchandise. They both had cowered a little when Gideon approached and chuckled.
"Readin' minds isn't all I can do."
"But-but your a fake." Dipper stuttered.
"Oh tell me, boys. Is this fake?" Gideon challenged and proceeded to levitate all the stuff in the room.
Meanwhile back at the Mystery Shack, Mabel was outside, thinking and chewing her hair. Wendy and Lori walk up to her and sit next to her.
"How's the hair tastin', buddy?" Wendy asked.
"Something on your mind sis?" Lori asked.
"Yeah, I need advice. Wendy, have you ever broken up with anyone? And Lori, I know you've broken up with guys before Bobby. How do you do it?
Wendy nodded and then said, "Oh yeah: There's Russ Durhan, Eli Hall, Stoney Davidson…"
Lori sighed and put a comforting hand on her younger sister's shoulder as Wendy listed off the many guys she had dated and broken up with.
"Spill."
"I don't know what's wrong with me. I thought everything was back to normal, but I still feel all gross. Was it a good idea to let Dipper and Lincoln do it for me was a mistake?"
"Pyche Wirly, Nate Holt, that guy with the tattoos…"
"I'm literally sure it was sis. Well, just like girls, guys appreciate honestly. I broke up with guys because I felt like they weren't right for me. But it wasn't until I met Bobby that he was the one for me. I can tell your literally scared about breaking up with someone, even that person may be somewhat the male version of Lola. But yeah, you could've hurt him a little by not telling him yourself. Now if you tell him now and explain, then you two might have a friendship." Lori said with a smile.
"Mark Epston… oh man, I'm not sure I ever actually broke up with him. No wonder he keeps calling me." Wendy continued.
Mabel thought about it, this whole time she didn't face her problems, and either chickened out, or had someone else do it for her. But now, she wasn't going to do that, she was going to face her problems by herself.
"Your right. Thanks Lor, you're the best!" Mabel said and hugged her sister and ran off.
"Anytime." Lori said with a slight smile.
A phone rang, and Wendy pulled out her phone and pressed ignore at whoever was calling her.
Mabel got off her bike at the location where Dipper and Lincoln were. After she used the GPS app she had on her phone to locate her brother's phones, she found them at a warehouse she remembered Gideon said he owned. After getting there, she went to the window and saw her brothers were levitating in the air and some sheers was coming towards them with Gideon doing the work.
She gasped and ran to the doors, opened them and said," Gideon! We have to talk!"
"L-Leia. My marshmalla." Gideon said in shock and dropped the shears." What are you doin' here?" Gideon asked nervously.
"I'm sorry Gideon, but I can't be your marshmallow. I needed to be honest and tell you that myself."
"I-I don't understand." Gideon said and squeezed the amulet which started to squeeze Dipper and Lincoln's throats.
"C-can't breathe." Lincoln squeaked.
"M-Mabel?! This probably isn't the best time to be brutally honest with him!" Lucas managed to say.
"Hey, but we cans still be makeover buddies, right? Wouldn't you like that?" Mabel said, faking sincerity and held Gideon's hands.
"Really?" Gideon hopefully said.
"No not really!" Leia grabbed his tie and her brothers fell to the floor. "You were like, attacking my brother's, what the heck?!" Leia said angrily.
"My tie! Give it back!" Gideon demanded and tried to grab it, but Mabel threw it to Dipper, who caught it.
"Ha! Not so powerful with this, are you?"
Gideon's response was to scream and charged at Dipper to get the amulet. He succeeded but they ended up breaking and flying out the window.
"Dipper!" Lincoln and Mabel screamed in horror.
Both individuals screamed as they fell but they soon got into a slapping match. When Dipper was about to punch Gideon, they realized they were falling and screamed again. Before they hit the ground, they were enveloped in the magic of the amulet Mabel had. She and Lincoln were floating down.
"Listen Gideon, it's over. I will never, ever, date you." Mabel said as they landed on the ground.
"What she said." Lincoln said with a nod.
"Yeah!" Both boys agreed with Leia.
Mabel dropped them and put the amulet in her pocket.
"My powers!" Gideon cried in shock. "Oh this isn't over. This isn't the last you'll see of wittle… ol' me!" He said in a whisper and walked into the dark forest.
"Man, thanks guys." Dipper said with a smile.
"Yeah, and why didn't you destroy the amulet?" Lincoln asked confused.
"No problem, also, I hope to fool everyone and play pranks on them. Or maybe give it to Lucy or Lisa." Mabel said a mischievous smile.
Back at the shack, once the three siblings got back, they explained what had happened to them with Gideon. They were shocked by what he did and could do, but agreed that now he didn't have his powers, he was harmless. But that didn't mean they weren't going to keep an eye out for him. But Stan soon came back to the house, everyone listened to what happened to the deal he had with Bud Gleeful, and how it ended thanks to Gideon.
I coulda had it all." He muttered as she hung the clown painting he stole from the Gleeful's.
"Look on the bright said Grunkle Stan, at least you have us." Leni cheerfully said.
"Thanks." Stan muttered.
But on the inside he felt a warmness in his heart on the kind gesture from his Great Grandniece. But he would never admit it them. He then noticed the slightly dishevled looks of three of grandnephews and neice.
"What the heck happened to you three?" Stan asked.
"Gideon." They answered.
Stan scoffed. "Gideon. Yeah, the little mutant 'swore vengeance' on the whole family. Ha, I guess he's gonna try to nibble my ankles or something'." Stan said with a laugh.
"Or maybe he'll tell us his vengeance in song?!" Lola said in mock horror and started to giggle.
"Or guess what number we're thinking of?" Dipper said and laughed as well.
"Good luck with that! I don't have anything to think of!" Leni said and everyone started laughing at what Gideon might do.
"Wait a minute." Leni said in realization while her family laughed.
Meanwhile, Gideon was in his room and had finished making small dolls of the Loud family and also planning on what to do. When he finished he closed the book he had and it was the same Journal that Dipper had but it had a '2' on it.
Which meant this wasn't the last the Loud's would see of Gideon.
Mabel and Leni were busy doing something to Soos while the others looked on and waited for the end result.
"You done?" Soos asked.
"Not yet." Leni said.
"How about now?"
"Almost. And… there." Mabel said.
Soos turned around and he was covered in bedazzling jewels that Mabel had put on herself. "Let's do this."
Lucy turned off a light and Dipper shined a flashlight on Soos, while Luna began playing music on her electric Keyboard. Everyone smiled in satisfaction and Soos started to turn in circles to create a disco ball effect.
"Your all fired." Stan said as he saw what happened.
