Chapter 11 - Chapter 11 - Fight! Fight!!

'So, that's five unassigned stat points every level up.' he had been singing since his first level up or was it opposite first 2nd level up. He realized that he had 15 unassigned stat points. He noticed that everyone was given 5 stat points at the beginning to assign to the stats of their choice. He was the only abnormal one who didn't add a stat point before he killed his first monster. 'So, people weren't completely helpless. They had the strength but we're too scared to use it.' Damien was disgusted. He hated fear but he hated people who succumbed to fear even more. That's why he pushed his sister so much. If you are weak and skinny, and you overcame your fear when you see a zombie and fought back, Damien would respect you. Unfortunately, so far, he had not seen anybody like that. This thought process only lasted a second or two before he focused on the situation at hand and started adding stat points. He just needed to think how about much he wanted to add to a particular stat and the number will increase and his unassigned start points would decrease. When he was done adding, he could feel the strength his body contained at the moment. He felt superhuman. Like he could break a wall with a single punch.

The licker, which was currently looking at the corrosive sword with caution suddenly sensed that the amount of danger he felt from the creature in front of him had become stronger. So, before this creature could get stronger it attacked.

Surprisingly, it didn't dash forward. Instead, a reddish pink shadow shot out from it's now open mouth. It was extremely fast. But, the moment it was within range, it was cut in half. As the cut half landed on the floor beside Damien, it seemed to be larger than usual. With a deformed tongue and sharp barbs embedded in it. Swinging his sword to the side to get rid of the blood, he quietly listened to the licker's inhuman screams. The pain from losing its tongue overwhelmed it as blood spurted from the part which was clearly cut. The licker felt a sense of dread. It only saw a black and green flash before it's tongue was cut off. The danger emanating from the creature in front of him was immense. But the rage from the pain and greed that, if it ate this creature, it would get even stronger overwhelmed it. As it withdrew it's already healing tongue into its mouth and got into a dashing stance. Showcasing its leg muscles and bone structure that had changed from a normal humans into that of an animal's. It moved at an incredible speed with its sharp long claws heading for the neck of the creature in front of it. Unexpectedly, his fingers were quickly chopped off. But clenching it's teeth in pain, it swung the other hand which was stabbed, and then cut horizontally upwards with blood spraying everywhere. Especially from the injury on its left hand, which could hardly be called a hand now. As it was now divided into two from the middle finger down. Not wanting to give up, it shot out it's tongue at close range. This time Damien just shifted his head to the side and swung his sword at the already stressed out tongue. Cutting it off again. Then, sidestepping to the left, avoided a desperate attempt by the licker to kick him. To which he responded with a large laceration on the already exposed thigh. Cutting off a large piece of meat and leaving two large x marked cuts on its chest.

With no particular change in expression, Damien looked indifferently at the licker as it desperately leaped away with it's one good leg. 'The corrosive sword's effects are magnificent!' He thought with as it could see that the injuries on the licker that was supposed to be regenerating were instead corroding as they turned black. With sizzling noises and smoke coming out of them. If it had sweatpores, it would already be sweating furiously as the pain was too much to handle. Although, the pain was reduced by half since it was a zombie in his own right, it was still excruciating to have been cut as it had been. It's back was hunched with it's cut tongue out. It's eyes were filled with rage, anger and..... fatigue. It was whining and wheezing. 'Was this the creature it had clashed with when it first came in?' It asked itself. It couldn't figure out how this was possible. As its head was filled with pain and the door was blocked by the strong creature in front of it. So, it took slight peaks at the large windows by the side of the room. It was filled with immense fear at the moment. It didn't want to die. It wanted to eat and kill more, but it clearly couldn't kill the creature in front of it as it hasn't even scratched the creature. So, the only choice is had was to escape. It would come back though, and finish this creature off when it was stronger. It taught with eyes blazing with vengeance.

So, the moment Damien took a step forward to finish what he started, it darted for the window. But, in the next moment, a sword was launched through its mouth separating the tongue into two horizontal halves.

As its life slowly slipped away, and as its hands rested on the blade of the sword that impaled the bank of its neck and came out through its open mouth with blood spurting everywhere. It heard a voice whom it would never forget even in death mutter, "Never turn your back on your enemy."
