Third-Person POV
{With the computer Memaw bought me—and with Georgie making Dave cry in the process—I have finally completed my research! Now, all I need to do is send my findings to NASA. But my brother has other plans.}—Adult Sheldon
Georgie watched as Sheldon stood there, looking both proud and smug. He glanced at the book Sheldon was holding, its title boldly printed: Rocket Reentry & Retropropulsion by Sheldon Cooper.
"You actually did it, huh?" Georgie said, his expression a mix of amusement and admiration. He took the book from Sheldon's hands and flipped through its pages, though the contents might as well have been written in an alien language for all he understood.
"All that's left is to send it to NASA and make Dr. Nimcompoop apologize to us!" Sheldon said excitedly.
Mary and George peered at the book as well, their expressions mirroring Georgie's—complete confusion.
"Just looking at it makes my head hurt." Missy muttered after glancing at the pages for barely five seconds.
"Well, we're proud of you, Sheldon." George said, giving his son a pat on the shoulder. Georgie had already told Mary and George that they should appreciate whatever Sheldon and Missy accomplished, even if they had no clue what those accomplishments actually were.
"Yeah, I don't understand a word of it, but I'm proud of you, Shelly." Mary said before pulling Sheldon into a hug.
"We should celebrate!" George declared, heading toward the fridge to grab a beer but stop after hearing Georgie.
"Excuse me? You just want an excuse to go over your daily beer limit," Georgie shot back before turning his attention back to Sheldon. "We should patent this first, Shelly."
The room fell silent, everyone staring at Georgie in confusion.
"Why?" Sheldon frowned. "I just need to submit my research and wait for NASA's call."
"No," Georgie rejected the idea outright, holding up the book. "This is a goldmine."
"Wait—are we rich?!" Missy's eyes sparkled at the mention of gold.
Mary and George exchanged glances.
"What gold?" George asked, half-expecting Georgie to say it was just some scribbles from Sheldon with no real value.
"This is big, Shelly," Georgie continued, ignoring George. "I'm not gonna let all your hard work go to waste. This belongs to you, and one day, you'll reap the benefits."
"Why not now?" Sheldon still didn't understand. All he wanted was to shove his research in Dr. Hodges' face.
"Our current technology—or, more specifically, American technology—probably isn't advanced enough to verify your findings yet," Georgie explained.
Sheldon's eyes widened. "So… I'm ahead of my time?"
"Yes, I believe so," Georgie nodded. It was the same thing Dr. Hodges had said in the series, though Georgie himself had no idea what was written in that book. "That's why we need to patent this first—so no one can steal what belongs to you."
"Is it really that valuable?" Mary asked, looking at Sheldon's book again.
"For now? Maybe not. But in the future? Absolutely. If his research turns out to be correct, then millions of dollars would be nothing for anyone who wants to use it."
Silence filled the room. Then, breaking the tension—
"WE'RE GONNA BE RICH!!" Missy cheered.
Mary snapped out of her daze. "Then we have to protect this book! How do we patent it?"
"Wait, millions of dollars for that book?" George still sounded skeptical.
"Of course. If Sheldon's theory is correct, then millions would be cheap for a breakthrough like this." Georgie said, handing the book back to Sheldon.
"Wait… so it's not completely correct?" Mary caught something in Georgie's words and narrowed her eyes.
"Well, I believe in Sheldon. But I'm not a scientist. I can't confirm whether his theory is 100% accurate." Georgie admitted with a shrug.
George, who had been entertaining the idea of suddenly becoming a millionaire, snapped out of it. "Wha—what? So? How do we prove that Sheldon's book is actually correct?"
Georgie grinned wickedly.
"We're going to Houston."
"What? Why?" George looked suspicious.
"We're gonna 'slap' Dr. Nimcompoop in the face with this." Georgie smirked.
"…You're starting to sound like a supervillain," George muttered.
{At the time, I didn't understand why my brother refused to send my research directly to NASA. I knew my findings were correct. My theory was sound. But only my brother believed in me.} —Adult Sheldon

Georgie's POV
"Wanna check out my studio?" I asked, breaking the silence in the car.
"Oh! Are we gonna meet any celebrities?!" Missy perked up beside me.
I chuckled. "Haha, nope. Just me. I'm the only celebrity there."
Missy shrugged and not comenting my words.
"Oh? so you already consider me a celebrity?" I said teasingly.
"Of course." she replied casually.
"…"
I leaned in, pressing a kiss to the top of her head before pulling her into a side hug. "If this car gets into an accident, I'll protect you with my whole body." I whispered, but apparently, everyone else in the car heard me too.
"DON'T JINX IT!" Connie and Mary snapped, turning to glare at me.
George shot me a warning look through the rearview mirror. "What about me?" Sheldon complained, clearly offended. "I cannot die. Humanity needs me."
"Haha, relax, I was just joking!" I laughed, squeezing Missy as she shot Sheldon a smug look.
"By the way, I can't head home with you guys. I need to stop by the studio to do some more recordings."
"…So now we have to drop you off at the studio?" George sighed.
"No need. I already called Rosie and Miss Fenley to pick me up."
"Good. I don't wanna make any more stops. We're going to NASA and heading straight home," George said firmly.
"But I wanna hear Georgie sing!" Missy whined, looking at Mary for support.
"No. You have school tomorrow." Mary said, shutting that idea down immediately. Then she turned to me, "You better be home tonight. No staying overnight at the studio."
"Alright," I agreed, watching Missy pout.
"I think you guys should come, though. You haven't seen the new renovations, have you?" I said, looking between Mary and George.
George let out another long sigh before glancing at Missy. "…Huh. Fine." He exchanged a look with Mary, who smiled slightly.
"Alright!"
"…Do I not get a say in this?" Connie grumbled from the front seat.
