"They sound like quite the person." she responded with a small smile. She turned forward as the exit was steadily approaching. Jarrett crossed his arms as he watched the girls in the group, one huddled behind Dante while the other speaking to him casually. He and Nolan had been following behind them steadily.
"He thinks he's so cool, because he has the girls all over him, who does he think he is? He's starless for crying out loud."
"Sounds like someone's getting jealous." Nolan said with a small smirk.
"J-jealous? Me!? Like I'd ever be to some starless kid!"
"I mean, it is two girls from higher ranking families, I don't blame you for being even the tiniest bit jealous."
"I said, I'm not jealous!"
"We're here."
Everyone looked forward to seeing the entrance to the next floor in front of them, the room seemed spacious as they entered, noticing the running water flowing from within on each side of them. The ground's wet texture came from the flowing water, as small waterfalls seemed to have flowed upward in the area.
"This is way better than having to deal with that stupid rumbling." Jarrett said as he looked around at the scenery, while the room wasn't as well lit as others, it seemed to be a very scenic area within the dungeon. A small lake area with various rocks scattered within sat in the center, behind it was the exit to the next floor. "
"I see, it's a shortcut route. You've outdone yourself Azuri." Nolan nodded his head in approval of the decision.
"It's just one of the many routes within the dungeon. I'd rather avoid the unknown here." She said as she turned to Iris, who seemed to finally be settling down from before.
"Are you able to keep going? We can take a break if need be–"
"N-no! I'll be fine, I can do this…!"
"Hm…right then. Let's continue then."
The group then began to walk slowly towards the exit in the distance. Drops of water were heard, falling from the stalactites on the ceiling. The rush of water only got louder as they approached the lake, seemingly expanding the closer they got. Nolan glanced around, trying to take in the gaze of the scenery until his eyes laid on something.
