"Guys, who's that…?" he said as he pointed to what seemed to be the figure of a woman sitting by the water. She wore draped clothing as small mutterings came from her direction. Dante tilted his head trying to understand what someone would be doing there, until Jarrett stepped forward and began to speak out to the woman.
"Hey! It's not safe to just sit around in a dungeon you know!? You should get out of here as soon as possible!"
The woman stopped muttering for a moment, but then slowly continued to speak to themself, angering Jarrett who felt as if he was ignored in the moment.
"If that's how you want to be–!"
He began walking forward and past the group to confront the woman sitting by the lake, he'd been growing frustrated not only with the groups antics, but also the fact that he hadn't been able to truly show his progress within the test due to the game plan of Azuri who'd embarrassed him before in front of the others. He felt that maybe this would be something he could do to help someone else out of the dungeon.
"Wait, Jarrett–"
"No stopping me now, Monterose. She's getting help whether she likes it or not. So don't butt in and let me help."
He closed in on her, and offered his hand out. The woman looked at him as he stood proudly in front of them.
"Let me show you the way to safety, you must have been stuck here for some time right…?" he held his hand out happily as the woman reached out her hand. Jarrett closed his eyes and gave a proud smile, one that he wanted to do whenever he felt as if he did good, until the feeling of wet skin and scales touched his hands. He turned to face her quickly before he was met with a face full of sharp teeth and dark orb like eyes.
"What the–!"
The figure then stood from the ground as it held onto his hand tightly, refusing to let go as her claws began to stink into his wrist. The others drew their weapons as the creature opened its mouth wide before letting out an ear curdling screech. Echoing off of the cavern's walls.
