Chapter 129 - Compromising - Chapter 3

loud roar resounded in the caverns once more, as bats began to fly out due to the loud growl of the beast. Iris made sure to secure him before moving forward.

"We've got to hurry…we don't know how close that thing is. I'm going to make sure you can fight to the best of your ability."

"Sounds like a plan…"

She began to support him as the two slowly began to walk along the trail left by the water. Looking around, she was able to guide them into the dark, thanks to her sensory spell. Avoiding different casualties and possible hazards, she continued to move forward, letting Dante lean on her as much as he needed to so they'd be efficient with their movement.

"We're making good progress…I think I see a small place where we can rest."

"That's great…"

Dante's eyes had adjusted to the dim lighting but slowly began to realize just how close she was to him as her body pressed against his with every step. A small blush flushed over his face as their wet clothes pushed against one another, as she seemingly didn't notice. The two continued until they reached a small space that was closed off from the main area. Iris slowly let Dante down from her shoulder and softly chanted a spell.

"Let no sound leave this place, keep the winds within a confined space."

"Privatus"

The room in which they sat in, slowly gained a small magical sphere that enclosed the two. Dante looked in wonder at what she did before she looked at him and let out a sigh.

"This should let us talk without worry of being found out by any wandering creatures…apologies for taking so long getting us here, Dante."

"It's okay…let's just get this started…"

She nodded as she walked over and began to help him take off his gear. He'd looked as if he'd prepared to go into the dungeon multiple times. Donning what you'd expect your typical adventurer to wear. Unclipping smaller latches to detach his smallwear and paddings. His breaths continued to stagger as he winced in pain from the scratch marks on his back. This caused Iris to flinch back quickly at the sudden uptick on his breath.

"H-hey, keep quiet–!"

"I can't help it. It hurts! Just get this off of me and get started please–"

"I-I know that already, you don't have to tell me twice…sheesh."

She then lifted his cloak and shirt off of his body. The tattered shirt laid on the ground as she stared at his body. She'd known from before that he'd worked out after seeing him perform in their more athletic tests and trails. She looked at his musculature and blushed as he laid himself on his stomach and rested his arms under his chin.
