The door creaked open. Rose jolted, her eyes snapping open as she surveyed the place.
Rolan caught her wrist, leading her inside.
"You should be in my protection," he said, a cocky smile plastered on his face.
Rose didn't even have time to react. She didn't have time for him—not now. She was hurting, confused, staring at the strange place around them.
Who were they even meeting? And why the hell wasn't Rolan telling her anything?
"You keep looking at the walls like they're more handsome than me," Rolan teased.
Rose frowned, shooting him a glare. Was he seriously joking right now? Couldn't he see she was being dead serious?
"Shut up, Rolan. You're making noise in my ear," she snapped, her voice rising a bit. She wanted to yell, but she knew she was in someone else's territory. She forced herself to stay quiet. She couldn't let Rolan get under her skin.
"Ahh, you look so funny," Rolan said, clicking his tongue like he was enjoying her discomfort.
