Hannah, still standing in the same spot, thought, He's fast. How can someone unable to use Mana be so fast?
Draven's fist approached her face with incredible speed, but he missed. His punch grazed her face, the force causing a scratch that bled. Hannah quickly jumped back, distancing herself from Draven.
Draven, still holding his bow in his right hand, raised his left hand, looking at it. He thought, What the hell just happened? I missed?
That's not even possible. He raised his head, looking at Hannah. "Hey kid, you managed to dodge. Good for you," he said.
Hannah drew her bow, and three Mana arrows appeared. Draven looked at the arrows and thought, Wow, so you can shoot more than one arrow.
He looked at his own bow, raised it, and drew the string, but only one Mana arrow appeared. Hannah, seeing Draven staring at his bow, shot the Mana arrows.
Draven, still pondering why he could only create one arrow, didn't notice the arrows flying towards him. He quickly reacted, jumping to the side and shooting his own Mana arrow towards Hannah.
The arrows he dodged turned towards him. Damn, I forgot that she could control them, he thought.
Draven's arrow moved towards Hannah, but suddenly changed direction, missing her completely.
Draven put both his hands forward, blocking the arrows, which pierced his hands. The Mana arrows slowly disappeared, and Draven's injuries quickly healed in a second.
Draven, still holding his bow, his hands now unharmed, his red eyes glowing, turned to Hannah.
Hannah drew her bow, this time four Mana arrows appearing. Draven, without a word, charged towards Hannah. Seeing him charging, she shot the arrows.
Draven, seeing the arrows flying towards him, moved even faster, his red eyes glowing. When he got closer, he jumped to the side.
His eyes followed the arrows, which also turned towards him. So that's it, he thought. Before the arrows could strike him, he quickly jumped up and backflipped, but the arrows didn't follow him. He landed, and the arrows continued their flight, piercing through trees.
Draven looked at Hannah, smiling. "Using wind magic to change the flight direction of the arrows. That's why my bow missed," he said. Hannah's eyes widened. I thought he was unable to use Mana. How did he figure it out? she thought.
"Hey kid, why do you look so surprised?" Draven asked, still smiling. He began stretching, saying, "Now I know how it works." He smiled. "I'm gonna make it quick."
