One, a tall beastman with deep scar-like markings on his chest, stepped forward with a smug grin. "Well, well, what do we have here?"
His sharp eyes flicked over Thalina, lingering a little too long before shifting to Zorath and Tharion. "A female like that, and you two are just going to keep her to yourselves?"
They were obviously not from this city, with they way they addressed Tharion and Zorath.
Thalina tensed. Excuse me?
Zorath's expression darkened instantly.
Tharion's grin widened. "That's exactly what we're going to do."
The male laughed, but it wasn't friendly. "How selfish."
Zorath took a slow step forward, his voice dropping into something dangerously low. "Say that again."
Thalina, not wanting to deal with a fight before she even enjoyed the festival, quickly stepped between them.
"Alright! We are not doing this," she announced, placing a firm hand on Zorath's chest.
