Along with the good news, a piece of bad news arrived as well.
During this time, inheritors like Daemons and Morlun, who had originally been captured by Peter, were found and killed one by one by Solus—only to be resurrected at the cloning facility in the Earth-803 universe!
These newly revived inheritors were ravenous.
Perhaps out of vengeance as well, they banded together and invaded multiple worlds.
In a short span of time, over a dozen Spider-People had met a gruesome fate.
Upon discovering this, British Spider-Man immediately sought out Peter and Cosmic Spider-Man to discuss countermeasures.
Baxter Building was a 35-story skyscraper, with each floor standing 24 feet (approximately 7.3 meters) high, making its total height exceed 255.5 meters. It was located at the intersection of 42nd Street and Madison Avenue in New York City, Eagle Nation.
In the past, many had used this building—the Fantastic Four, Iron Man, the Avengers. However, now, it had become the cloning facility of the Inheritor Family.
This was Earth-803—a universe completely ruled by the Inheritors.
Jennix, the third son of the Inheritor Family, had been stationed here for years. Many superheroes and supervillains native to Earth-803 had also been brainwashed by him, turning them into his loyal hounds.
On top of that, there were thousands upon thousands of cloned soldiers.
This made Earth-803 an impenetrable fortress.
In the original timeline, just three Spider-People attempting to infiltrate and destroy the cloning facility was nothing short of a fool's dream.
And yet, despite that—someone still came.
With unwavering resolve, they entered this universe, determined to destroy the cloning facility and sever the Inheritor Family's path to resurrection!
Swish! Swish! Swish!
Several figures appeared in this universe.
Earth-31411 Universe
The Spider-Man of this universe, codenamed Armored Spider-Man, was a man named Allen Ackerman. He worked at a laboratory called Ikegami Medical Research Institute, specializing in the medical applications of insect venom.
Ikegami Research Institute housed the world's most advanced medical facilities and cutting-edge technology. Its owner, Kaori Ikegami, was an expert in mechanical engineering, robotics, and prosthetics—a highly talented medical doctor, surgeon, and scientist.
Like other versions of Spider-Man across different worlds, Allen Ackerman was chosen by the Spider Totem under a fateful encounter, granting him superhuman abilities.
From then on, he defeated one formidable enemy after another.
Until recently—when a half-mechanical woman named Namura appeared in the city he swore to protect.
This new supervillain not only had a lower body forged from alloy but also possessed overwhelming strength. Even Armored Spider-Man's specialized webbing could barely restrain her for long.
During their first encounter, due to his unfamiliarity with her abilities and the ineffectiveness of his neurotoxin stingers, Armored Spider-Man was swiftly taken down by Namura.
Pinning him beneath her, Namura spoke coldly:
"I have passed through that gate of darkness… Many more like me are lying in wait. And you, little spider—you will be their appetizer! This world… will fall!"
Looking up at his enemy, Armored Spider-Man found something odd.
For some reason, she had a gag-like device over her mouth—it felt strangely inappropriate.
Boom!
Taking advantage of her momentary distraction, Armored Spider-Man suddenly exerted all his strength, flipped over, and escaped.
"Even though I lost this battle, it's only temporary. Once I return and develop a specialized webbing and new venom, I'll definitely defeat her!"
With this thought in mind, he swiftly swung through the city, heading towards his secret base.
Buzz!
Just as he passed by a tall building, his Spider-Sense suddenly activated.
Without time to think too much, Armored Spider-Man immediately used his webs to adjust his position in midair.
The next moment, a shell whizzed past where he had just been, striking the surface of a nearby skyscraper and erupting into a ball of fire.
Countless fragments of the building crumbled and fell.
"Damn it!" Armored Spider-Man watched the debris plummet but didn't dare to reach out and stop it.
Because he had already spotted the enemy!
It was the Namura!
Dozens of monstrous creatures with mechanical legs for lower bodies and alloy armor covering their upper halves were leaping rapidly between the buildings, closing in on him.
Even at a glance, there were at least several dozen of them!
"Where did all these things come from? And... their target seems to be me?" Countless thoughts flashed through Armored Spider-Man's mind.
"There are countless more like us!"
"Your efforts are meaningless!"
"Your victories are nothing but illusions!"
"You're the one who let the spider into your body, aren't you? Hahaha!"
"When we passed through the door from the darkness, we saw it—the pathway where two worlds converge is filled with death, rushing toward you, Spider-Man!"
"You will never be their hero. Humanity is doomed to extinction, and this world will ultimately become the base of the Namura!"
"Our great master is crossing through the gateway in the darkness. You're as good as dead, Spider-Man!"
The Namura suddenly shouted in unison, their voices like those of fanatical worshippers.
Their words sent chills down Armored Spider-Man's spine.
"Ah!" He let out a sudden scream.
His head felt like it was about to split open!
His Spider-Sense trembled like never before!
Something terrifying was approaching him at an alarming speed, like storm clouds gathering before a thunderstorm—so heavy that it crushed the air, suffocating him, as if at any moment a bolt of lightning would strike and shatter him into pieces!
A glowing portal appeared in midair.
Three figures slowly emerged, looking down at him from above.
The one in the center was a burly figure—so large that it looked like a bear wearing a suit, giving off an eerie sense of strangeness.
To the left stood a thin man whose glowing red eyes and cruel smile made it impossible to judge him by appearance alone.
On the right was a woman in a deep V-cut evening gown, her voluptuous figure barely restrained. She held three winged people on leashes like pets.
Daemos!
Morlun!
Verna!
The three heirs of the Inheritor family!
"Who... are you?" Armored Spider-Man struggled to lift his head and look at them.
He could tell that even with the swarm of Namura surrounding him, none of them posed as much of a threat as these three!
Morlun rubbed his forehead with his fingers and smirked wickedly.
"Ah, that question again? I've had this same conversation with countless versions of you across countless worlds. It's exhausting...
But really, does it even matter?
You're just a meal waiting to be devoured.
Why would I waste my breath on you?"
