Chapter 199 - Chapter 198: Clash

As soon as the words fell, Morlun lunged forward, pouncing fiercely at the Armored Spider-Man.

Behind him, Daemons crossed his arms over his chest, grumbling in dissatisfaction, "Why do we all have to act together now? We can't even eat what we catch. It's really frustrating!"

Verna covered her mouth and chuckled. "Brother Daemons, there's no other way. Those damn spiders have actually started hunting us now."

"Hunting? Hmph!" Daemons' face darkened instantly as unpleasant thoughts crossed his mind. He fell silent.

In just the brief moment they conversed, the Armored Spider-Man was already in grave danger.

From the moment they clashed, he realized that his primary means of survival—his Spider-Sense—had completely failed against this opponent!

Now, he could only rely on his past combat experience to deal with Morlun's relentless, ferocious attacks.

But this made the fight extremely difficult for him.

To make matters worse, countless Namura cyborgs lurked all around, eyes filled with predatory intent.

This was Morlun's Namura Legion.

Each Namura was a cybernetic organism, their lower bodies removed and replaced with mechanical augmentations. Through the mouthpieces they wore, Morlun could exert complete mental control over them.

In essence, they were the same as the "Hunting Dogs" Verna held on a leash behind her.

The only difference was that Verna's Hunting Dogs were captured from various worlds—either superheroes or supervillains.

Meanwhile, Morlun's Namura Legion was made up of ordinary people, produced in mass quantities.

Naturally, the individual combat capabilities of the Namura soldiers paled in comparison to Verna's Hunting Dogs, but their overwhelming numbers far exceeded them.

Morlun had seized control of the body of Kaori Ikegami's comatose daughter, thereby manipulating Kaori Ikegami herself. Using the advanced biotechnology and mechanical exoskeletons of Ikegami Medical Center, he had her construct the Namura Legion for him.

And now, Morlun had descended.

He wasn't just here to feast on the Armored Spider-Man—he was also here to take the Namura Legion with him, as additional forces to aid in their upcoming battle against Peter and the other Spider forces.

Thus, as Morlun pressed the Armored Spider-Man into a desperate struggle, the entire city plunged into utter chaos.

From every direction, Namura cyborgs emerged, abducting individuals deemed suitable for conversion and transporting them to the Ikegami Medical Research Institute.

As for those who dared to resist, they were mercilessly slaughtered!

The city echoed with wails and screams, transforming into a living hell.

The Armored Spider-Man was barely able to protect himself.

Managing to escape from Morlun's grasp, he dared not continue the fight. Instead, he focused on evading pursuit, determined to regroup, study his opponent, strengthen himself, and return to settle the score.

He darted through the city, weaving and dodging, all while witnessing Namura cyborgs rampaging, capturing people left and right.

But he didn't dare stop.

He didn't even dare to glance twice.

Because Morlun was right behind him, floating at a steady, unhurried pace.

The moment he hesitated, even slightly, that monster would catch up!

Being forced to watch without being able to help filled the Armored Spider-Man with despair.

At the same time, a deep sense of powerlessness overwhelmed him.

"What can I do to end this nightmare?"

Meanwhile, Morlun simply followed at a leisurely pace, treating the chase like a cat toying with a mouse.

Even though he had suffered a setback at Peter's hands, he still hadn't completely rid himself of his old habits.

Because he was the proud Inheritor!

He had suffered losses in the past as well.

This time was no different—it was merely a result of his carelessness.

It wasn't something he took to heart.

He even scoffed at his father's orders.

Solus had commanded that, moving forward, all siblings must act together to ensure their safety.

Morun felt that he was making a fuss over nothing.

It seemed that his father had aged, and the heir to the family would now be him.

Morun thought to himself.

Boom!

At that moment, a bright red lightning bolt descended from the sky, striking Morun squarely.

In an instant, Morun was blasted into the depths beneath the city.

"Who is it?!" Morun roared as he stood up from the shattered ground. He lifted a piece of pavement over ten meters long and hurled it into the sky.

Boom!

A figure appeared, smashing the concrete slab into pieces with a single punch.

"Morun, you really are forgetful. Have you already forgotten me so soon?" As the dust settled, Peter's figure slowly emerged, tossing a red magical orb up and down in his hand.

"It's you!" Morun recognized him instantly.

His expression turned manic. "It was you who trapped me in the rock! Perfect—today, I'll make you experience the same thing!"

Boom!

Morun stomped the ground forcefully.

The entire city seemed to tremble violently.

Beneath his feet, the ground groaned and cracked apart.

But by then, Morun had already transformed into a streak of lightning, charging toward Peter at supersonic speed.

"Whoa! Didn't expect you'd still have the guts to fight me!" Peter extended his hand forward.

Whoosh—

In his hand was none other than a Borsat's Thunder!

With the momentum of both their speeds, the moment Borsat's Thunder left his hand, it exploded directly against Morun's face.

"Ahhh—!"

Amidst the terrifying magical shockwaves, Morun let out agonized screams as he was sent flying backward even faster than he had charged forward, crashing heavily into the ground.

At that moment, half of Morun's head was covered in torn, dangling flesh, looking as if it were rotting away.

"Brother Morun!"

"Morun!"

Two figures rushed in at high speed.

They were none other than the heirs, Daimons and Verna.

The moment Peter appeared, they had already been making their way toward this place, but they were still a step too late.

They hadn't expected Morun to engage in a direct fight with someone who had already defeated each of them once before.

Even more unexpected was how quickly Morun was defeated!

"Two more pieces of trash coming to die?" Peter sneered.

"How dare you call me trash?!" Daimons was instantly furious.

Verna's expression also turned dark.

But neither of them made a reckless move.

If they had been captured before due to underestimating their opponent, this time, they had witnessed Morun's defeat with their own eyes.

Their fear of Peter had now reached its peak!

At the same time, the sounds of battle echoed from all directions throughout the city.

It was the other Spider-Men, clearing out the rampaging Namura cyborgs.

"Who are you? And who are these people?" Armored Spider-Man landed on a nearby building, voicing the question that had been troubling him all night.

"Allies. Enemies." Peter gave a brief response before turning back to Daimons and Verna.

"What's wrong, little babies? Feeling brave again? How about I give you a chance—why don't you call your dear daddy to back you up?"
