"But why did it eat it, child though? How come it suddenly just jacked up when it did?" Emma said as she ran alongside Eye, the happy fellow.
Grah!
The pale humanoid Lost chased behind them, trying its best to catch the two by crawling, really, really fast.
"Wait, does that mean I hadn't answered that Agony's question?" Emma thought as she ran.
Bang!
A purple thick tree had been thrown ahead of the two, it had blocked their path. Thus, they had come to a stop.
As soon as she did, Emma realized how tired she was!
Turns out just running could waste spirituality too, now Emma had less then at least 50% left.
What was she going to do? She can't fight that thing!
Eye had jumped on top of the ripped tree and looked towards Emma with a solemn face.
"We got to kill it. If it gets any closer, it will mess with the city. It would break families and destroy everything in its path if we let it be. We can't let that happen again!" Eye shouted towards Emma, pointing his finger towards the approaching Lost.
"How? It has to be at least a Wanderer Lost, how do you suggest we beat that then?" Emma retorted, jumping over the dead tree.
"Your scouting aptitude isn't that good isn't it, it's a Spirit that has a grade 3 level Agony. At most on the brink of becoming a Wanderer. We can stop it; it'll be hard but at least it's possible." Eye stopped her from escaping, Emma wearily looked towards the beast who was coming this way.
If it really isn't a Wanderer of Agony, then maybe they do have a chance?
"Alright what do I do? That thing is coming at any moment, so hurry with it." Emma said in a hurried manner.
–
"Grah!" The pale beast yelled at the two with desperation in its voice.
"I still need to figure out why this thing ate its kid; I'm not a big fan of pain." Emma thought to herself, thinking about her agony's consequence for not answering.
Experiencing ¼ of her greatest pain is simply too much for Emma! The only reason why she would continue to fight against this agony was simply because she wanted to repay Luna, but there was absolutely no need for extra pain.
Eye stared at the beast with a look of disgust, while catching himself from drooling.
"Now!"
Eye's eyes looked blue, and Emma no longer looked like Emma, instead she was in a form that looked like Kushtaka's.
Emma charged at the massive Lost, while it had just stood there stunned by Emma's willingness to be eaten.
Or maybe it was because the beast hadn't been able to move at all due to Eye.
Emma preferred her idea though! It was funnier.
So, she punched and punched.
She continued till 80 times!
Bang!Bang!Bang!
By the face of the beast had looked like it was going to break at any moment. But so was Emma, her spirituality had been less than 10%. If she kept this up she was definitely going to die of exhaustion!
"I can't hold it anymore! It's almost dead anyways, you got it!" Eye shouted towards her, before he fainted, falling headfirst towards the yellow grass.
The Lost immediately moved its arms, launching them towards Emma.
Thud!
The giant Lost had nearly hit Emma, smashing down nearby trees instead.
She was going to die! Why had she decided to listen to even listen to that plan? It was so stupid of her!
"It will destroy everything it touches." Emma said to herself, that right. That Lost was going to kill a bunch of people if she let it go free.
That monster was going to ruin a whole bunch of lives if it had been allowed to roam freely. Emma thought to herself for a bit.
"I have to kill this Lost, so many lives will be ruined. Who cares if I die anyway? I'm just a monster. If I kill this Lost, no, all Lost! Wouldn't it then be redeeming myself to Luna? Stopping monsters from committing the same deeds I have, what a great idea!" Emma said to herself in excitement.
The Lost had been feeling around its face this entire time, gathering its anger towards Emma. It was going to kill her!
For making it kill it child! This Spirit had to go!
Both parties attacked each other.
With fierce intent. After round and round, Emma felt like she was learning more about this Lost.
It was annoyingly persistent!
Slash!
Emma swiped Kushtaka's arms straight towards one of its hands, which then immediately retracted a bit out of pain. By now its hands had seemed like a bloody mess.
Emma was a tired mess. She was low on Spirituality, extremely so. She could only go in for one more attack before it depleted completely.
And so, she did, they both did.
The pale gigantic humanoid Lost had felt that its hands were tearing apart, it would die whenever this spirit had killed her or not.
Why was she and her child persecuted, when they had finally achieved freedom?
Boom!
The sound of loud objects had fallen onto the floor. Emma had done it and she subdued the Lost.
She saved the city!
She saved the Eye!
She saved herself!
Today was the day that Emma had felt something surge in her, she wasn't ever going to run from a fight again. Simply because she had found another way to redeem herself, kill these monsters before they could become a true monster!
A monster that would destroy a family.
"Didn't you destroy a family?" A voice that resembled her own snickered in her ears.
"What family? Those you lost that died? They tried to kill me, so we killed them. The big one even ate the other one, how could it be my fault? Are you saying that I provoked them into doing all that?"
"They were the ones who attacked first, right after Eye had messed with the small one… It's not my fault! It's not my fault! They tried to kill us, tried to kill people! I had to stop them. They were monsters."
" A monster, aren't I a monster? A monster who kills monsters." Emma said to herself, as she gazed towards the corpse in front of her.
She had to remember this was a monster too! Just like her...
