EMMA POV
Ian's eyes scanned the food on the table, and then his gaze landed on something. "Is that... shellfish?" he asked Keila, his voice tight with concern.
Keila nodded, her face pale. "Yes, I added some shrimp to the dish."
Ian's face darkened, and he turned to Keila. "You're aware that she's allergic to shellfish, aren't you?" he growled.
Keila's eyes widened in shock, and she took a step back. "I... I didn't know," she stammered.
I was shocked, too. I had never known that I was allergic to shellfish, I had never tasted it before so I never knew. I looked at Ian, my eyes wide with fear. "I didn't know," I whispered, still in shock about how he knew and I didn't want to.
Ian's face softened, and he reached out to me. "It's okay, Emma," he said, his voice calm and soothing. "I am here. Take in a deep breath.." he advised.
But my body was having a different reaction. I could feel my throat swelling and my skin itching. I began to panic, my breath coming in short gasps.
