Dear Diary,
Today was picture-perfect.
No seriously—like, camera flashes, soft backgrounds, and pose-like-you-mean-it vibes.
It started when Min-jun said, "We should take cute pregnancy photos. Y'know, before you pop like an adorable balloon."
I stared at him. "Excuse me?!"
He raised his hands in defense. "I meant that in the sweetest way possible!"
I rolled my eyes but agreed—mostly because I have been feeling kind of pretty lately. You know, pregnancy glow and all that.
So, we roped in Hye-jin (because who else can boss a camera around like a diva?) and decided to do the shoot on campus, in the garden behind the art hall. It had vines, flowers, and that magical fairy tale but still modern aesthetic I LOVED.
Hye-jin arrived in full director mode. "Eun-ji, glow. Min-jun, smolder. Both of you—hold hands like it's your last time ever seeing each other!"
Min-jun whispered, "Is it weird that this is kind of hot?"
I smacked his arm and tried not to laugh too hard while posing.
We did the classics:
My bump with both of our hands on it (aww).
Me resting on Min-jun's shoulder while he looked like a proud dad-to-be.
Him kneeling and kissing my bump while I made the cheesiest heart-eyes EVER.
AND… one where we were both barefoot in the grass like it was a K-drama poster.
Somewhere mid-shoot, Min-jun pulled me in and whispered, "Let's take one for us. No poses. Just us."
So, we stood close. I looked up. He leaned in. His hand brushed my cheek, and our lips met.
Click.
Hye-jin didn't say a word. She just smiled behind the camera.
When I saw the photo later, I swear my heart did a full gymnastics routine. It wasn't polished or perfect—it was us. Our messy, magical, wildly-in-love us.
We ended the shoot with Min-jun playfully lifting me up and spinning me around like a lovesick dork (I screamed and threatened his life), but I couldn't stop laughing.
Tonight, we're printing our favorite ones to hang in the dorm. And maybe even send a few to our parents (minus the kissy ones, obviously. Cringe.)
I'm gonna remember this day forever.
Me, my bump, and the love of my life—with a camera catching it all.
