The men start the fire "Alright Joseph, this is the best we can do with your body. Don't stress in the afterlife, you're now gone forever. Your physical presence is now gone, your mark in this world has faded away." Toby says as they watch his body burn. Ashly after noticing they are distracted moves. She carefully and quickly runs to a nearby building. She enters the building and points her gun outside the window area.
"Our enemies are going to lose to us, they won't last any longer. Their power is decreasing and it's noticeable, we can wait it out for a few years, but that's not possible anymore" Toby says, he turns the lighter off "The SDA is closing in on us. We have to make a move or else we'll get caught. Nolan and Karter got us into more trouble that we expected. We should be the ones winning this, not them" he says in a tone more angry
Daniel has his gun pointed at Toby, he guesses that he must be the leader. "Alright, just a bit longer. Make sure they are distracted, don't rush anything" Daniel murmured to himself. His plan is as soon as they get too comfortable he shots their leader. This will catch them by surprise and will allow him to kill one or two more men. The men will definitely try to run and hide on the opposite side. They will already know where he is positioned, but that's where Ashly will do her part. They will be too distance on focusing on Daniel that as they run into the building Ashly will be waiting in one of them.
She will begin to shoot at them when she finds an opening. Her advantage is that they don't know she is hiding inside. One of the men turn and spot Ashly, he yells at the others. "SHE'S THE WOMAN, THE ONE WHO KILLED JOSEPH!" he yells and they all turn to look at her. Ashly has already messed up the plan by not hiding better. The men pull their guns out and one shots at her direction, Ashly barely dodges it.
"Shit" Daniel says as he points his gun and shots the man who yelled Ashly's position. He falls to the ground, the other men are surprised and another one is shot on his neck. The men run and hide behind some buildings, "Fuck, there goes our "easy" way out" Daniel says as he points his gun around. They are out of his sight but that doesn't worry him. His new plan is to help out Ashly as support, he runs to the other side of the building.
Ashly ducks behind some walls and she can hear footsteps. She sees the shadow of one of the men, the sun is on their side. She runs and when one of the men enters she shots them in the head. She knows that the others know her location now, she runs out the building and jumps into another one. She starts looking around for a place to hide. She feels more relieved now than before, her healing injures have seen to disappear for that very moment.
Daniel shots at one of the men but misses and they shoot back at him. He hopes that he is distracting them, he doesn't want Ashly to die. He keeps shooting at any movement, he can't see where they are. "Where are they, how many are left?" he says himself, Daniel is to distracted that he doesn't hear footsteps behind him. Daniel hears the sound of a gun being loaded, and as he turns around he is shot on his right shoulder blade. Daniel sees in shock as it's a different man, he wasn't with the others. The man smiles at Daniel as he falls off the building.
The men surround the area that they heard the gun shot. They find the dead body of one of their men, they don't look angry as they did with Joseph's death. "How many of them are there?" One of them said "Not to many, they should of surrounded us by now" said another. The all decide to not risk anything, the move together as a unit. They approach some footprints where lead to a building not to far away
Ashly looks around and can see they are approaching her location. "Great, if only there weren't any snow here" she makes a quick decision, she takes her worn out coat off. She takes her bag and wraps it, she remembers Bruno taught her this once. She never believed in it but now she has put all her faith into it. With a strong throw the coat flies out on her left side. The men notice the coat and one shots at it with speed.
The man realize that he was tricked, Ashly jumps off the right side of the building and shots at him. Unfortunately for them one gets shot on his chin, another gets shot on his stomach. She runs and jumps into another building by its window. With the momentum of her speed she falls flat on the ground, she immediately tries to stand up. She feels a sharp pain and sees that her left thigh was shot.
One of the men enter the building and points his gun on her head. Ashly shots his hand right off, the man screams and clutches what remains. Ashly's gun ran out of bullets, she tries to reload but the man runs at her with a knife. He swings and she barely dodges it, she kicks him and he falls.
In the distance on the second floor of the building, the man who shot Daniel peaks out. He sees Daniel is on the ground covered in snow, he isn't responding. The man is young and handsome, he has emerald eyes and brown hair. "Well that was booorriing" the man says "I was hoping you would do more but not everything goes your way" he turns around and begins to walks down the stairs. He goes outside and passes Daniel's body, he meets up with the other men "Why are all of you standing still? You haven't killed that woman yet!" He screams at them
"Why should it take so many of you to kill her, how stupid are you all? Do you guys wish an early grave, is there nothing is inside your heads?" he walks to them with anger. The men begin to reload their guns "We are sorry Dante, but this isn't your concern. We were told to do our job exactly like the boss intended. You aren't our boss are you" said one of the men which angers Dante
"Just do your job you numb skulls" Dante says and they begin to enter the building. Dante looks a bit surprised by what he sees, Ashly is holding John and she is trying to stab the man. He is sweating and struggling, Ashly with all her might drives the knife into his chest. The man screams and she starts repeatedly stabbing him. His blood is covering her face and she is throwing all her frustration onto every stab.
She grabs his body and before one of the men can shot at her, she uses the man's body as a shield. Dante shots and it hits the man killing him "What a useless man, let himself get killed by a woman" Dante says and Ashly stands up with his body and points her gun at them. Dante runs and hides behind a wall and the others stay still."Shot her! don't just stand still, or are you on her side!" He yells
In the distance Daniel can be seem limping near the building. He is clutching his shoulder "Hurts, it hurts so much" he says "Ashly needs my help, they must think I'm dead" Daniel points his gun and shots at the window, one of the men gets hit and falls to the ground. "Come at me you bastards" Daniel then shots again but misses, the men seem unbothered. One of them goes out of the building and is killed by Daniel "What's wrong with them, are they only good when it comes to numbers or what?" he is breathing raggedly.
Ashly is outside, she is angry "I'll kill them all, no one will escape" She limps besides the building. Dante yells at the men to kill them, they all separate. Dante decides to hide for the moment, he is going to kill both of them.
"That man sure did catch me by surprise, he should be fun killing. The idiots will all die and I'll have to kill those two" he is sweating and shaking from fear. "Stop shaking, you're pathetic. Why do I shake every time, no one has ever seen me in fear. I can't be seen like this by anyone, I will kill anyone who does." Dante says as he sits down
"YOU IDIOTS GO KILL THAT WOMAN, and I'LL KILL THE MAN!" Dante yells from inside the building. Ashly notices her gun only has a few bullets left. She puts her gun away and holds onto John.
"Why are they this stupid? I was told that the Lurkers where smart people. No I was lied to, they would always exaggerate everything." Ashly says as she continues to limp, she is using the wall as leverage. She spots one of the men who spots her, she throws the knife at his face. It hits and he falls gagging as his neck got hit. Ashly takes the knife and slits the man's throat, she takes his gun. "Thanks" Ashly says as she tries to stand up
In the distance Daniel is limping towards the building, he notices Dante hasn't left yet. He approaches and hears another gun shot. He turns and sees Ashly, he also spots another one sneaking up on her. Daniel shots the man and he falls to the ground, Ashly sees the man and doesn't thank Daniel at all.
"fuck, it's only me and one more left. Why, why was I put with these idiots in the first place." Dante is clutching his chest and breathing fast, he is sweating profusely. "No why am I the idiot, I only agreed to do all of this because I didn't want to look like a coward." He begins to climb the stairs slowly, each step feeling like it's his last.
Ashly spots the last man who is running at her, Ashly wastes no time and ducks. The man misses his swing and Ashly with John stabs him on his stomach. "Die you asshole" Ashly then moves the knife ripping through him. The man falls to his knees, he sees his intestines falling out. He tries to hold onto them but they keep on falling, he turns to see Ashly and she is on the ground.
Ashly is breathing heavily, she hears another gunshot and assumes Daniel killed the last man. She turns around and the other man has collapsed onto his own pile of blood. Daniel then gets out of the building holding onto Dante. He has his gun on the back of Dante's head and they walk to Ashly
Dante is crying, he is shaking a lot and is begging for his life. "P-Please, I didn't mean to hurt you guys. I'm innocent, I was forced to do all do this" Dante tries to lie, his voice is trembling, but he sees that Daniel doesn't seem to care at all "I will do anything, just don't kill me."
