Chapter 22 - ACT 1.21: The White Room

When the heart smiled with its ear, blood spilled out of the hole. It was the first time Genesis saw this type of smile. It wasn't like the Agents creepy smile that stretched to their foreheads. It was like the creature was genuinely trying to let them know that it was happy. What a sick way to go about it.

The Heart gestured the child to come with him, but the child did not listen. Instead, it shook its head like it was mad. Insane with a fear unknown to man. It was almost as if the Heart was the White Room itself.

When the creature saw the child's disagreement, its disturbing smile turned upside down. Its mouths looked like a frown, its eyebrows furrowed, the eyes as the side of its head were completely bloodshot.

Genesis looked at the creature with such a look that it made the creature look like a saint. Genesis backed away with the child's hand in his grasp. He told everyone to flee. He did not know the catastrophe this ugly, eerie and terrifying abomination could unleash. He was not going to find out either.

Genesis's soul went haywire, his fear factor was set to the maximum, he was almost shivering with the amount of horror that reigned in his very skin. He told everyone louder now to run. They looked back to the creature once as it stood up from the flesh couch. They never looked back again.

They ran to the exit of the twists and turns. They fumbled and ran over each other as they ran from the greatest terror known to man. Genesis vowed that he would never return here, even if the White Room was dead or not, he would never come back.

People stumbled over each other and left each other behind. The mountain of fear in each person accumulated and formed a grandiose hill of men and women, just trying to be the first one out. Until...

"Stop!"

Jae screamed out suddenly.

"There are friends left behind, people wecan nott just leave them to die there."

The voice was so demanding that everyone followed it. Genesis was set in stone, even though his very soul, which was divine, told him not to go back there. The order of a king is not one to be ignored.

The mountain died down and people looked behind each other and hurriedly helped their cohort members back to their feet. Genesis looked behind if he could see the giant creature, but there was nothing. That was strange. No sign of the creature who was previously rampaging was in the distance it looked still, too still.

For a creature who sent an entire army flying back, one would think that there would be more carnage. But there was none, Genesis called this too the attention of the king and the king was baffledas welll. It wasn't until a child's noise came from below Genesis that he figured out the real fear was just beginning.

"It's already started it. You should have stood your ground and fought! Now it is too late."

"What do you mean by too late, we need more details if we want to live!"

Genesis said as he shook the child's shoulders.

"Do you not see the people you left behind?"

Genesis whipped his head around so fast it almost flew off his neck. The friends they had left behind were, old, so old and they were rotting awa. Some turned to dust right in front of Genesis's eye. Genesis felt himself growing older as well. He wanted to scream out what he could do to survive.

The flesh didn't let the sound and Genesis was shut off from the rest off the group. All that was ahead of him was suffering, horrid, relentless, suffering.

Genesis felt himself grow older with every step he took. Every single second felt as if he had gained another hour to his time. Genesis waddled until he stopped at a room with a golden light emitting from it.

He stepped into the room taking in new surroundings, there was a huge beast lying in the room, it was radiating the same golden light Genesis had seen before he made the foolishly curios decision to step into the room.

The creature looked like a dragon. It had golden scales, an immaculate pair of talons and it also had such perfect wings. If Genesis could somehow kill it and sell it, he would be rich. But money was practically useless in this world. How stupid Genesis is.

He tried his best to sneak past the direct view of the dragon as it was resting, he managed to get past the front section of the room but still had to stay close to the walls until he killed the dragon. Genesis was obviously an idiot, because of his attempt to kill a thing so large and powerful.

Genesis was near the dragon's red heart when he stepped on a golden scale. It made the noise of a coin dropping and the noise echoed.

Genesis was terrified. He could not face a dragon. Why was he even here in the first place? The golden dragon awoke and looked at Genesis it suddenly then uttered words out of its snout.

"Why are you facing your sword towards me? Despite my appearance, I am still not a threat."

"You come from the White Room. Of course, you are a threat."

"The White Room, what is that? This is my lair. There is no White Room."

"What do you mean there was no White Room, I just saw it before..."

Genesis took a look around and saw that it was truly the dragon's lair. How could this happen. He was just there a few minutes ago. How could he be in the lair of a golden dragon.

Genesis looked crazed and the dragon looked as if he was confused with the realization that Genesis made. The dragon then spoke in a calm but orderly voice.

"Are you sane?"

"Yes! Yes, I am sane. This is just another trick from the room, isn't it you're just a fake, aren't you."

"I assure you I am very real."

The dragon then let flames out of it's mouth the flames turned Genesis's armor into gold.

"No, I still do not trust you. On my life, I was in the terrible place only a few seconds ago."

As gold as the rising sun, the dragon looked at Genesis like he was mad and with that, it went back to rest. Genesis, however, was frantically scanning the walls. He needed to find at least one piece of evidence that this was fake. Even if it involved battling the golden dragon, he would do it.

Genesis attacked the walls with his sword, swing after swing, he got more and more convinced that this was real, if so he saw no way out. He kept going, the promise of his cohort leading him closer and closer, but it was all for absolutely nothing when he finally swung and was knocked to his back.

There was no exit. This couldn't be even when Genesis faced a warrior that was declared the vessel by the massive, vile, unholy and horrific White Room. He still managed to come out on top. When he was getting choked out and he thought he was to die, he still managed to survive.

When Genesis was faced against the Grey Soul of the White Room in his dream, he managed to leave it with a devastating scar and escape. Even in real life, he managed to snuff out the chances of certain death, when the fire raged on. He had gotten many injuries, his arm almost came of, his armor was cut and so was his body, his face was a mess because of already plentiful burns he had achieved when he decided to fight the Bladder.

He managed to gain a golden sword when he was falling to certain doom. He was able to quite literally carve out a path through the Grey Soul and he escaped the same he did in his dreams. He did that while the acid on his face was still burning, although burning in less painful sensation than when he had first aquire them it was burning nonetheless. Not to mention the fact he had no eye when he faced the giant worm, he was practically invincible, no matter how much the White Room tried he survived.

When he finally left the Soul he laughed in it's face and suffered karma when he was suffering from anemia, he just barely scraped a victory when the advanced Agent pinned him against the ceiling of vile flesh. He had to fill the holes of his mouth with the regenerative properties of the Agents flesh. Then, the creature he rightfully killed aimed to take his mind to grave with it, but Genesis was not to give up that easily.

No matter what he pushed on then he met Debmaw, who was a breath of fresh air. Together, they annihilated the advanced Agents, even if it was mostly Debmaw doing all the work. Genesis felt safe, the safest he had ever felt during the anarchy of the White Room.

After venturing forward, Genesis was restrained by tentacles, then his hand, half of his torso and a portion of his leg were taken off by the Grey Soul of the White Room. He then had to add more parts of the White Room to his body, by adding the tentacles into the gaps of his body.

He fled and successfully abandoned the chase of Hallowion. He and Debmaw had an incredible fight with the Left Lung. In which Debmaw did most of the work again, but it was still Genesis who arrived with the last swing of the sword to end Sepio's fate.

Genesis had flew on the back of a decaying bird and always managed to hang on when there was only dust left. He then aimed to do and achieved, jumping off Debmaw's dust and cutting the head of the Right Lung. He did it in a golden flash of light since his soul had connections to his golden sword.

He remembered the way his appearance was so frightful that the rest of his team thought that he was a monster from the most horrible depths of the White Room. They shot arrows at him, yet he was too built for that. He had gone through too much for his life to be taken by measly, weak and pathetic arrows.

He then was lead to the spiral stairs, where he was ambushed by even more advanced Agents he fought his best and was taken down, until his cohort arrived and defeated the Agents, but they had to add more and more parts of the White Room into his body.

The Agents finally managed to touch his mind with their intoxication. They made him go mad. He started to feel suicidal. He wanted to cut his own head off. Then one brave soldier saved his life, but for some messed up reason, he was angry. The soldier did not let him kill himself and he let his anger out on the soldier. It took most of his cohort to stop him from hurting someone.

He glanced back to when he lead the blue team into the den of the Heart and they were so frightened by it's appearance that they ran in fear, but they found out that it was all a ploy. They should have listened to what the boy had said instead of their own accord, if they had maybe Genesis would not be a few meters from an actual golden dragon, who shot flames from his mouth, flames that made his armor turn gold.

But in all his memories, he stayed true to himself, never forgetting the vow he made to protect those lesser than himself, those who weren't divine and if this dragon was stopping that they would have problems.

He shook off what the dragon said. He was not crazy, insane or mad in the slightest he was Genesis and Genesis wanted to be with his friends and if that golden as day dragon was preventing him from doing so then Genesis would not hesitate to strike it down.

Genesis slowly walked over to the dragon flecks of golden flames in his hair painting the ends of it gold. His sword radiated an astonishing aura, the illumination from the sword awaking the dragon. His armor shone brighter than the scales from the dragon itself and Genesis declared.

"If you stop me from achieving my purpose, be it real or not. Then I swear on every accomplishment that I have ever made, I will strike you dead."
