Chapter 126 - Chapter 126

When Uchiha Shin mentioned Queen Sasha of Roran, the expressions on Kushina and Kanako's faces changed immediately.

Kanako muttered, "So it was true... Queen Sasha really pulled that move back then!"

Now that she had the time to reflect, Kanako finally understood Queen Sasha's expression and demeanor on that night. It was obvious—Sasha had seized the throne just two nights before they left Loulan.

Kushina, on the other hand, glared at Uchiha Shin, her eyes burning with frustration. If she could, she'd make a small man right now just to get even.

Unlike Tsunade, who wasn't particularly concerned about children, Kushina and Mikoto were both extremely invested in that regard.

Uzumaki Mito, observing the exchange with interest, suddenly asked, "Can I see the child? If it's too late now, I think I can still hold on for two more days."

"…"

Uchiha Shin gave her a speechless look. Even at this age, she was still this nosy?

Her words were clear—she was absolutely the type to poke her nose into everything. But Uchiha Shin had no objections to letting her meet his daughter.

"Alright, I'll go get her. Wait here for a moment."

"Flying Thunder God!"

Leaving those words behind, Uchiha Shin disappeared in a flash, teleporting straight to Loulan.

With his departure, the atmosphere in the room settled again.

Eventually, it was Uzumaki Mito who broke the silence. Looking at Kushina and Kanako with a kind yet probing gaze, she asked, "You both seem much calmer than before. What did young Shin tell you?"

Previously, both Kushina and Kanako had been overwhelmed by the impending loss of their grandmother, but now they appeared almost at peace. Uzumaki Mito found it curious.

Exchanging awkward glances, the two hesitated for a moment before deciding to come clean.

"Before we came here, Shin—uh, young master—told us that if we really missed you, he could just use the Impure World Reincarnation to summon you back…"

"Ahem! Ahem! Ahem!"

Uzumaki Mito nearly choked on her own breath.

"That brat! He actually mastered Tobirama's forbidden technique just to use it for something like this?!"

Thinking about how she might get pulled back from the afterlife anytime Shin got sentimental, Mito couldn't help but feel a mix of exasperation and amusement.

Kushina and Kanako giggled mischievously, perching themselves on the bed.

"Shin also mentioned that he's been working on improving Impure World Reincarnation. Apparently, he can now create a younger version of you, Grandma. We're really curious to see it."

"A younger me…?" Mito raised an eyebrow. "Tch, now that you mention it, I kind of want to see it too."

Which woman wouldn't want to reclaim her youth, even just as an illusion? If she could actually witness her younger self, then maybe getting summoned once in a while wouldn't be so bad.

Seeing that Mito was intrigued, Kushina and Kanako struck while the iron was hot, continuing their playful chatter.

Before they could get too deep into their conversation, Mikoto, Tsunade, Konan, and the others arrived outside.

"Sorry, Grandma, we're late."

Tsunade's voice was hoarse with emotion as she stepped into the room, Mikoto following close behind. Even for someone as strong as her, the thought of losing Mito was unbearable.

But just as she was about to cry, she noticed Mito casually chatting with Kushina and Kanako, looking far from someone on her deathbed.

The sight left Tsunade completely at a loss—should she cry or laugh?

She simply stood there, not knowing what expression to make.

"Oh, Tsunade, you're here."

Mito nodded at her granddaughter with an air of calmness.

Knowing that she would likely see Tsunade again in the future, she no longer felt the pain of parting.

Tsunade, on the other hand, felt utterly helpless.

Mikoto, ever composed, had a faint smile on her face. Having overheard the talk about "immortality reincarnation" on her way in, she had already pieced most of the puzzle together.

Instead of addressing the absurdity of it all, she simply scanned the room and asked, "Where is Shin? He should be here, right?"

With both Kushina and Kanako present, it was only logical to assume that Uchiha Shin had arrived earlier.

Hearing Mikoto's question, the two women stiffened, unsure how to respond.

Meanwhile, in Loulan, Uchiha Shin arrived instantly, materializing behind Sasha, who was in the middle of handling state affairs.

The beautiful queen sensed his presence immediately.

His chakra, his scent—she knew them all too well.

Years of 'nourishment' had allowed Sasha to blossom into a woman whose figure rivaled Tsunade's during the Second Shinobi War. With a delicate nose, flushed cheeks, and lips as red as cherry blossoms, she was now even more breathtaking than she had been at sixteen.

Unlike her previous extravagant attire, she now wore a simple shirt and shorts, yet still radiated an unmatched elegance.

Uchiha Shin's palm rested on her shoulder, his fingers sliding smoothly down to her thigh.

"Shin-kun~ I'm still working," Sasha murmured in a sultry tone, her eyes glancing at him playfully.

To the outside world, Queen Sasha was untouchable, an exalted ruler. Yet now, she sounded like nothing more than a spoiled lover.

She made no effort to stop him, despite her words.

Shin smirked but refrained from escalating things further. If he 'messed around' for too long, Kushina and the others would start asking questions.

"Relax, I'm not here for that today. I came to see Sasha."

"Hmm? No. She's too young—let's wait a few more years."

At his words, a flash of disappointment crossed Sasha's face, and she quickly spoke up to stop him.

Seeing her reaction, Uchiha Shin scratched his cheek awkwardly.

Ever since he had personally "fed" Sarah last time, Sasha had caught them. Though she eventually gave in, it was still something he needed to tread carefully around.

Shin cleared his throat and replied righteously, "Do I look like that kind of person? This is serious business."

"Oh, sure, sure. And I don't know who it was that pulled Sarah aside last time, trying to convince me to let her 'join in' after everything was exposed."

Sasha shot him a look filled with both amusement and exasperation.

By now, she had completely let go of any reservations. Given Shin's ambitions and the importance of bloodline purity, such arrangements were not unusual among royalty.

But the fact that Shin got away with everything and still acted innocent? That was something she couldn't let slide.

She smirked, leaning in close. "You do know I can see right through you, right?"

Shin chuckled, raising his hands in mock surrender. "Fine, fine. I admit nothing."

Sasha rolled her eyes but didn't push further. "Just be careful, Shin-kun. You may be strong, but your biggest enemy is always going to be yourself."

With that, she turned back to her documents, leaving Shin to smirk at her retreating form.

As much as he enjoyed teasing her, he had a job to do.

And right now, he needed to bring his daughter back to meet Uzumaki Mito.
