Time: 11:30 PM Jakartha City
RUMBLE…
A sudden earthquake jolted the Jakartha City awake.
CRACK!
Just like the earth split beneath the stars, veins of light flashing as if the land itself had screamed in pain. A deep, rhythmic rumble echoed across the plains like the heartbeat of a slumbering titan rising from its eternal rest.
BOOM… BOOM… CRACK!
Each tremor slammed against the city's foundation like falling meteors.
BOOM!
The ground shivered.
BOOM!
Buildings rattled.
CRACK!
Stone walls creaked, dust burst into the air, and leaves scattered like panicked birds under a rising wind.
The air buzzed static, heavy, alive with danger.
WHOOSH!
Winds howled through the city as if warning them of the nightmare crawling closer. In the dead silence of the night…A storm approached.
Not of rain…Not of lightning…But of beasts.
The Beast Tide. A tidal wave of death.
Every Ascendant in Jakartha City felt the shift.
Thud-thud-thud-thud…
Their hearts pounded like war drums in their chests.
Some froze, nerves shaking. Some clenched their fists, blood boiling. Some whispered silent prayers to the gods. Others cursed through gritted teeth.
But none turned away. Not a single one ran.
They knew what was coming. And still they stood.
From the top of Jakartha's high walls, the Adventurer Guild's magical floodlights.
DING!
Flared to life, bathing the battlefield in binding silver light. Night was banished. There would be no darkness to hide in. No illusions. No mercy.
Even the shadows had nowhere left to run.
Then
BOOOOOOOM!
A sound like mountains colliding thundered from the distance. The outer plains cracked open as if reality itself had split.
A monstrous howl pierced the night sky.
ROOOOOAAARRRR...
The first of the beasts had arrived.
And they were hungry.
Ascendants all across the wall instinctively reached for their weapons.
Swords shinged.Bows twanged. Staff pulsed with mana.
HUMMMMM.
Tension snapped like lightning. This wasn't just survival. This was WAR between beast and Otherworlders of Jakartha City.
And it had begun. The beasts were coming.
And this was no ordinary wave.
BOOM… THUD… THUD… THUD…!
From the abyss beyond the floodlights, monstrous figures began to emerge one after another. Eyes glowing like dying stars, bodies cloaked in elemental auras that twisted the very air around them.
They didn't slink in silence.
They roared. They howled. They screeched so loud the skies trembled.
The earth beneath their feet cracked and moaned in protest, as if begging the heavens for mercy.
At first dozens. Then hundreds.
From the smallest critters to towering titans, the land was swallowed by their presence. The night had been quiet for too long.
Now?
Now it screamed.
WHOOSH!
A golden blur streaked through the darkness.
A Blazetail Tiger.
Its fur shimmered like molten gold, flames licking along its sides. Its tail scorched the dirt in its wake, leaving a burning trail. One Bright Orange Ring spun around its body like a flaming halo.
1-Star.
Fast. Vicious. Devastating in numbers.
HSSSSSS!
Slithering close behind was a hulking serpent black as obsidian, eyes cold as death.
Venomback Basilisk.
Nearly half the size of a house, its jagged scales reflected the floodlight glare. Toxic mist hissed from its spiked back like steam from a boiling kettle. Two Pale Green Rings shimmered ominously.
2-Star.
Lethal. Persistent. Pure venom.
Then
CRACK!
The air exploded with lightning as a winged pack burst through the clouds.
Thunderhorn Drakes.
Blue-scaled terrors, electricity dancing across their horned heads and armored wings. They tore through the sky like blades through silk. Each beast bore Three Crackling Yellow Rings.
3-Star Peak-Class. Aerial predators. Sky reapers.
And those were just the frontliners. Behind them the chaos surged.
Molten Fangs fangs glowing red, lava dripping from their maws.
Windpiercer Wolves moving faster than sight, winds screaming at their heels.
Cryo Raptors cold-blooded, ice-covered hunters with razor-sharp claws.
Steelhide Mammoths tank-sized juggernauts, every step a miniature quake.
Dendro Vineserpents serpentine terrors tangled in living vines and thorned roots.
Beasts of every element.
Every shape. Every nightmare. They weren't soldiers. They were a natural disaster.
A tsunami of claw, scale, fur, and fury. And they came not as invaders…But as the wild incarnate.
Unstoppable. Unrelenting. Untamed.
Each creature bore glowing rings, symbols of power no warrior could ignore.
One ring: dull, faint. A 1-Star beast.
Two rings: clear and rhythmic. A 2-Star threat.
Three rings: brilliant and pulsating. A 3-Star monster elegant, radiant, deadly.
They shimmered like treasures. But every Ascendant knew..
Those rings brought only death. And this tide? This wave had hundreds of them.
BANG!
On the Adventurer Guild's northern wall, an old battle-hardened warrior gritted his teeth, gripping his blade until the leather wrinkled.
"…They're here," he growled, voice gravel and rage. "Damn Beast Tide."
Beside him, a younger Otherworlder trembled. His spear shook. His eyes wide.
"T-They just keep coming…"
No one answered. No one could. Because fear was over. Hesitation was over.
This was Jakartha. This was home. And Beast Tide or not No damn beast gets past these walls.
DING!
THUD!
BOOM!
Beast Tide and Otherworlders Engage Fight between each other.
BOOM!
The first clash came like thunder crashing against steel.
A Blazetail tiger lunged through the smoke flames erupting from its paws, fangs bared.
But it didn't reach the wall.
WHOOSH!
A silver blur descended from the sky blade drawn.
James sword landed mid-air with a spinning slash.
SLASH!
The tiger's head rolled across the dirt, fire fading from its golden mane.
"Come on then," James growled, blade humming with wind. "Let's see how beast tide really is."
ROOOOOOOAR…
The Beast Tide answered.
And the battle began.
The protective barrier around Jakarta hummed as it weakened section by section to let the elite through.
DING!
DING!
DING!
Signal bells echoed across the battleground.
Dozens of Otherworlders charged out clad in enchanted armor, weapons forged from distant lands. Their faces bore scars and fire. Their movements, purpose and rage.
They weren't born here.
But this was their fight now.
"Formation!" a barked Guild representative ordered.
A line of Earth Mages stomped forward
THUD!
And slammed their hands to the ground.
CRACK!
Spikes of stone erupted beneath the incoming beasts, impaling a Molten Fang mid-leap. Lava splattered like blood. The creature shrieked as it crumbled.
"Cover left flank! A Cryo Raptor broke through!"
BOOM!
A massive Cryo Raptor crashed through the line, frost breath freezing the air. Its claws slashed at a young warrior but before it could strike:
BANG!
A bolt of lightning tore through the sky.
Emma waved her staff, twin fire and water spell released from her Mage's staff.
She met the Raptor mid-charge.
KABOOM!
Fire & Water spell hit Cryo Raptor.
Steam hissed from the frozen remains.
"I'll take twenty more of those," she smirked.
All across the battlefield chaos unfolded in glorious, brutal beauty.
Flame Archers set Dendro Vineserpents ablaze.
Spearmen shattered Thunderhorn Drakes mid-flight.
Everywhere, light clashed with shadow. Magic collided with elemental rage. Men screamed. Beasts howled. Earth broke.
THUD!
SCREEEECH!
BOOM!
CRACK!
DING!
The sounds of war are raw and relentless.
In the center, a lone figure stood among the madness. Calm. Unmoving.
Jack.
Eyes glowing faintly. Aura flaring like a dying star.
He hadn't moved yet. Not because he feared. But because he waited.
Watched.
Studied.
Then a Steelhide Mammoth barreled toward him, a mountain of flesh and tusks.
Everyone screamed for him to dodge.
He didn't.
Instead he opened his hand.
And the air bent.
A swirling black-and-purple vortex appeared in his palm. The Devour Sigil pulsed.
WHOOMPH!
The Mammoth's charge slowed mid-step. Its tusks cracked. Its body shook violently.
It didn't roar.
It choked on its own energy being sucked away.
Jack's eyes narrowed.
"Too slow."
CRACK!
He punched forward. No weapon. Just raw Devour-force wrapped in elemental surge.
The Mammoth exploded.
Not just broken.
Absorbed by his Devouring blessings.
But all other Ascendants saw as Jack waved his hand and the beast turned into dust.
Silence fell around him for a moment. All Ascendants shocked after seeing Jack's action.
Then the battle screamed on.
But now?
Now the Beast Tide knew something else.
The city didn't just have walls. City have fine experience warriors, those will defend their city for them.
