"You did what?" Selene's voice cracked through the room,her tone thick with disbelief, as her eyes locked on Sandy sitting on the couch, wearing an oversized hoodie.
Early this morning she had came downstairs with Cyrus, ready to send him off to school only to find Sandy at the door.
Confused and concerned, Selene had ushered her inside, scared that something terrible had happened.
Only for Sandy to blurt out that she left the house. And that wasn't even the worst of it,she felt her blood boil trying to wrap her head round what sandy had just told her.
"Mummy, please stop yelling at Aunty Sandy," Cyrus said, tugging at her arm, was about to run to Sandy,who now had tears streaming down her cheeks.
But Selene pulled him back gently, her face hardening with quiet disapproval.
