"Are you crazy?!" Ricky said,his eyes bulged in disbelief. "What do you mean you asked her to be your wife? As in marry you?!"
Nikolas chuckled. Watching his best friend's shocked reactions never gets old,especially considering the fact that Ricky was a lawyer. He should be used to dramatic twists by now.
"Why do you sound so surprised?" Nikolas leaned back in his chair, relaxing his weight. "I thought contract marriages was more common in your line of work."
"I thought you kissing her at the event was just because you couldn't contain yourself. Now you want to marry her?" Ricky shot back, ignoring the question entirely.
He had just told Ricky about the marriage deal he had made with Selene, but even as they talked,a part of his mind drifted.
"I didn't kiss her," he corrected, shaking his head. "She kissed me." He said,a smile tugging at the corner of his lips as the memory flashed through his mind.
