Chapter 13 - Chapter 13

Two months went by, and graduation is around the corner. In less than two weeks away, the seniors will be moving on and becoming young adults.

Following their hopes, dreams, and those degrees they dreamed of having. The campus was stacked around with endless flyers. Posted around every wall, billboard, and table.

" Man ! I can't wait to get outta here. " Mark stated while lying down in the grass.

He was lying in the shade of a tree, the grass underneath him. Feeling the warm breeze that made him close his eyelids.

Inhaling deeply, as he soaked in all the noise, and warmth he could muster before feeling something smack his face. The male jolting up with a lift in his head.

" Argah! What the ! " he snapped, as he felt a flyer on his face and quickly looked around to see who it was.

" Heyo! " Tiffany remarked.

Wearing a yellow two piece school girl attire, with a strip like pattern on her skirt, and white long socks that went with her cute yellow high heels.

Her collared white shirt with her yellow vest piece as she looked down at Mark. Mark giving her the look of disbelief as he shook his head.

" You got some nerve ! " he shouted at her.

" What! This is the most important thing for us seniors ! I want the whole school to know we are graduating ! " she said happily.

" Okay but you didn't have to slap that flyer on my face ! " Mark angrily pointed out.

Tiffany rolled her hues.

" As if ! This entire campus will be begging to be apart of the senior campus party ! " Tiffany giggled and squealed.

" I cannot wait ! " she added.

Mark shook his head, while Justin and Kaylee came into the mix. Both sat down on the bench along with Tiffany, while Mark eventually got to his feet.

" Hey guys and girls " Justin stated.

" Hey dork. " Tiff replied.

" Wassup man.. " Mark said with a grunt as he dusted himself off.

Kaylee sat down on the edge of the table, and continued to ponder about Ivaander. That mysterious foreigner. She couldn't shake the feeling of wanting to be around him.

It was so strange, that their brief interaction now makes her itching for more. Then again, could it be so strange? It wasn't like Kaylee felt like she fit in with her friends.

Even with Justin and Mark, things just seemed to be really dull and lifeless. If it wasn't hanging out at the apartment complex, it was going to a house party.

If it wasn't those things, it was school, or the part time job she had. Regardless, Kaylee decided she perhaps needed to let it go. I mean, she didn't even know the foreigner and now she was thinking about him.

" Kay... Kay ! " Tiffany exclaimed.

Kaylee jolted a bit with a blink.

" Huh? Yeah! What. " she replied.

" Jesus— I swear you are such a weirdo sometimes. " Tiffany remarked.

" Hahaha- " Mark and Justin both laughed.

The group continued to sit there at the table until it was time for yet another class to start. Kaylee hearing the sound of the bell, immediately felt like time passed by effortlessly.

Stuck in an endless time loop, where she went from class to class, study more and more. Did her projects, got an A or a B, and did it all over again.

Students flying by her as she walked the campus grounds, as Tiffany, Mark and Justin chatted together. It was if she had done the same redundant things again and again.

Externally she resented herself as calm and same old Kaylee, but internally she was screaming. Wanting something, anything to happen that made her not feel so empty.

What's more is Kaylee didn't see Ivaander at all today, and wondered if he forgot he had classes? Maybe he didn't have classes today.

It wasn't as if students sometimes didn't do classes on certain days, and once again it wasn't a Friday. So perhaps he had called it a day for now.

She also couldn't comprehend why she even cared, but then again that small engagement between them. It always managed to make her have a small grin plastered on her face.

Kaylee didn't realize it until now, but she completely forgot to call him by his name. She felt like she owed him an apology for that as well.

The last class for Kaylee had finished, as she made her way out of the science building. She sighed and also yawned directly afterwards.

All she wanted to do now was go home and lay down and sleep. However, she knew Tiffany wouldn't have any of that, because she was just the type of person who wouldn't.

Kaylee went by the table that the group normally would wait around, as she sat directly on top of it. Placing her books and bag in her lap, and looking down at her phone.

Checking the time and seeing it was going on 3:30pm, as she rolled her eyes. Lost in her own thoughts, annoyed that — she spent most of the time in classes and study hall.

Kaylee had long blackish brown curly hair, with brown hues, and a slim figure. She felt she was too skinny sometimes, and it made her self conscious.

Whenever she was around Tiffany it definitely seemed that way, as Tiffany was a bit more curvy but also skinny. Perhaps it was because she had double d breasts, and Kaylee was still in an A cup.

She didn't have a huge ass neither, nor did Tiffany but she certainly had one a bit bigger than Kaylee's. Kaylee also has oval like face, and brown skin color.

Wearing black tights, and white crop top hoodie, with some white tall socks and black crocks. She never dressed up for school, because she didn't see any point.

That wasn't the same for Tiffany, as Tiffany loved dressing up regardless and doing her makeup. Which Kaylee never put makeup on, unless it was a special occasion and that was rare as well.

The soft wind blowing behind her, which caused her hair to blow in her a face a bit, as she moved her hair back a bit behind her earlobe.

Looking around for Mark, or even Justin to come outside as she saw no one. A bunch of other students walking through campus and towards their cars as Kaylee sighed.

Her head focused on a group of youths, as they gathered around a mustang car. Kaylee shaking her head as she noticed two of the kids exchanging something.

She could only assume it was weed, due to the fact that they were trying to be so discreet about it. It was actually common around this campus, and Kaylee watched from a distance.

Not realizing someone was approaching her, which she had a habit of doing. Not really paying attention to her surroundings, and noticing other things happening to her.

Someone stopped watching Kaylee for a moment, before making their presence known towards her calmly.

" ... We meet again. " that familiar and deep voice spoke.

Kaylee quickly hearing someone, as she turned her head around and noticing the foreigner again. Immediately eyeing his clothing once more— as he always seemed to have a unique style.

Only this time he was wearing an all black attire, with the same elegant necklace Kaylee had seen before. Dangling golden earrings, and a dazzling golden ring that also looked rare.

Kaylee couldn't help but smile the second she saw him, which he noticed immediately, and plastered one of his own.

" Yeah.. we do. " Kaylee replied, as she grabbed her things and placed them to the side of her on the edge.

Her body quickly getting up, as her books felt down on the floor, causing her to turn and look back down.

" Oh shoot! " she exclaimed.

" Please— allow me. " the male quickly commented as he walked over and bent down to retrieve them for her.

Kaylee watched in silence, and admiring a male whom she had never seen do that for any woman. Tiffany had the most popular male on campus, and not even he— got down to get Tiffany's books.

Something about this male made him seem, as if he was formal, and also had mannerism. Grew up with being nice to women, or acting gentlemanly towards women.

Either way Kaylee was all for it, as the male trapped her belongings and handed to back to her. Kaylee smiling a bit as she nodded while speaking.

" Thank you. " she told him.

" No thanks needed. " he replied, while eyeing Kaylee once more.

Kaylee looking at the male once again, and seeing the same purple sparkling hues she had before. It felt like forever she seen him.

Months went by and for some strange reason throughout that time, she continued to look for him and he wasn't around.

Even in the same class they both had he wasn't there for most of it. Of course Kaylee had gotten sick for at least five days, so maybe he went to school then?

She wouldn't bet on it— but she also was curious to know where he's been. However, Kaylee wasn't someone to get in someone's business, and she felt it wasn't her place to ask him.

" Well it's polite to say— since you didn't have to pick up my books. " she remarked calmly.

The male chuckled a bit.

Kaylee hearing his soft and charming chuckle, something other male's didn't do. It just sounded all too pleasing for her.

" What? " she replied.

Ivaander shifting his head a bit at an angle still continuing to look at her. Before he would blink and then speak.

" I did have too. No woman should bend down to get something when a man is present. " Ivaander politely explained to her.

This remark caused Kaylee to stare at the male longer the wind kissing both their skins, as their hair slightly blew to the sides.

Kaylee shifting her eyes a bit up to see that his hair indeed move, which implies she was wrong about it being stiff. She was still curious about it though, but her mind was on his words now.

That comment alone made her unable to think of something else to say. All could she do was blush feeling a warmth against her cheeks, and look away.

The male noticing her expression, as he felt a small chuckle and smile appear again.

" Did I answer your question to your liking, my lady? " he asked.

Kaylee glancing back to him once more as she replied.

" To my liking? So that's not your actual answer then — you just said that because you think that's what I wanted to hear? " she remarked.

Ivaander arched a brow, confused.

Kaylee didn't know if the male didn't understand her comment, or was confused because she was wrong and assuming.

Regardless, Kaylee shook her head and sighed.

" Nevermind. " she added on.

" No. " he replied to her.

" Hm? — no what. " she asked him.

" Explain. Your remark. I am— puzzled. " he told her.

Kaylee looked at him, as the male continued to keep eye contact with her as well. Kaylee couldn't help but break the eye contact while she explained.

" What I'm saying is— the comment about no woman should bend down when a man is around— you said to my liking— which sounds and means that you only said it because it sounds like something I wanna hear. "

Ivaander listening to Kaylee break down each thought and explain how she came to that conclusion was amusing to him.

He just liked listening to her talk, her voice was soothing in a way towards him. Which the male could feel her emotions with each syllable.

The male smiling at her explanation and a bit of a giggle escaped his lips as well. Which made Kaylee shift her orbs towards him and shrug a bit.

" What? Did I say something funny? " she asked a bit confused.

Ivaander shaking his head a bit.

" No. it's just— you are a very vivid and rather detailed person. You seem to catch even the slightest bit of errors, even if English is not the person's first language. " he told her.

Kaylee listening to him felt her head drop down a bit and look away. She felt embarrassment and also now she felt rude.

She completely in a blink of an eye forgotten he was some foreigner ! Yes he had an accent the entire time— but she just assumed that he knew English very well.

Kaylee felt like an idiot right now, as she walked past him and sat down on the table. Ivaander turning to the side as he continued to stand there and watch her.

The male however was finding amusement in the entire ordeal, which he couldn't help but continue to laugh over it all.

His laugh sounded rich to her— and also sounded bougie, meaning he definitely wasn't a moron and clearly understood sarcasm and perhaps other things as well.

" I — " she was about to say, however she looked down and allowed the wind to be her noise for now.

Ivaander stopped laughing and arched a brow at her as he placed his hands directly in the middle of himself.

" Yes? I am waiting. " he teased a bit.

Kaylee could hear his tone, meaning he was expecting her to admit she was wrong. Kaylee despised being wrong, and apologizing.

It wasn't her strong suit to say the least— and she also was mostly never wrong. She hadn't had to apology to someone in the group— for a long time.

This was a first and she had done this with this man at least four times now. It was kinda eating her up inside— but she couldn't let him know.

" ... Yeah.. my bad.. " she mumbled a bit to say with a chuckle, scratching her head a little as she did so.

" Oh-aha— that is the worst apology I have ever heard someone say, I believe. " the male taunted towards her as he approached her more at the table.

Kaylee could hear how he sounded, which made her grin a bit and chuckle. She looked up at him, as the male tilted his head once again and Kaylee sighed.

" Okay.. I'm sorry. " Kaylee finally said as she looked away briefly and back at him.

The male keeping eye contact with her the entire time, as the two looked at one another. He was silent for a moment or two, before replying.

" .... A bit better —— we shall work on your apologizes one day. For now I accept. " he remarked.

His teasing was kinda funny to her, and also attractive in a way, as she hadn't felt like this in a long time. The emotions she was feeling all at once caused her to look down again.

Ivaander noticing her dropping her head again, as the male stood directly in front of her this time. Which made Kaylee look up almost immediately.

A fast blush streak appeared against her face, as she was about to speak in a panic quickly before Ivaander cut her off instantly.

" Hey! What— "

" You're alluring when you're not pretending to be someone you are not. "

Kaylee orbs widened gently hearing his remark which caused her to think long and hard about it alone. His presence looming over her — which she had to look up to see his face.

His complexion in the sun alone was mesmerizing which only made his skin shimmer a pretty bright glow. It was already a feeling for her that his presence as well was intimidating.

Ivaander raising his right hand a bit only but a mere centimeters away from touching Kaylee's chin. His fingertips but a hair away— as Kaylee continued to keep eye contact.

The male looking down at her as he lifted his hand in a way, almost like he was holding her head up for her, but without touching her truly.

Kaylee feeling her heart rapidly beating once more, that same urge when they were in the library together all those months ago.

Kaylee deep in her own personal thoughts wanting the one thing he seemed to stop at. She simply wanted to feel his touch once more— and it seemed like he was about to.

However his hand slowly started to fall back down, as the male stepped back a bit and turned heel. Kaylee looking at Ivaander as Ivaander shifting his gaze to her friends approaching.

Kaylee orbs rotating over to look at them instead, as she felt a sense of dread running through her body. Exhaling a gust of air, realizing that the moment was now over again.
