Chapter 19 - White Snow Mountain

Bai Ningning calculated for a moment and said, "Forty yuan."

Qin Yue was taken aback: "Only forty?"

"Yeah, just forty," Bai Ningning counted on her fair fingers, "Two round-trip subway tickets and two cups of milk tea, totaling forty yuan."

One of the cups was even for the junior sister, that papaya milk tea.

"What about this?" Qin Yue pointed at the shopping bag by the bed.

"They bought it for me," Bai Ningning answered honestly.

"Bought it for you?"

"Yeah, bought it for me."

Didn't I just say that? Did you not hear it clearly or what?

Qin Yue felt her anger rising again: "I emphasized my tone; it's not that I didn't hear, just like before!"

"Ah?"

"I mean, why did they buy it for you?"

"Oh, because they wanted to thank me," Bai Ningning raised her pretty little face and answered calmly, "To thank me for helping them as a senior."

Qin Yue felt her anger surge again: "Couldn't you have just said that from the start?"

Does saying one more sentence cost you your life?

Bai Ningning blinked innocently: "But this is a very normal thing; I thought it was obvious without needing to say it."

Very normal?

Qin Yue suddenly calmed down.

Thinking carefully, indeed, even if the little green tea had 99% of the fault, didn't she have at least 1% of the impulse?

Perhaps in the eyes of normal people, it was indeed a very normal thing, something that could be understood just by hearing it, and didn't require a response. But for her, the psychological issues were still there, so she might not notice normal things.

Maybe she was really wrong; she shouldn't let her personal emotions lead her to anger and want to start a fight.

That was not right.

Qin Yue completely calmed down and started a normal conversation: "What did they buy for you?"

"Nothing much," Bai Ningning turned around to play with her phone, "If you want to see, just look for yourself."

So honest; it seemed like all normal things.

Qin Yue thought to herself and reached out to open the shopping bag.

The first item was a half-bowl shape, with a snow-white base and floral patterns, representing a girl in the snow.

The second was a ribbon shape, also snow-white, with soft fabric resembling tassels, representing a little princess in the snow.

The third was a strip of fabric, jet black, representing a girl wearing black knee-high socks in the white snow—when worn, the pillow is white, so wouldn't that be like having white snow?

Qin Yue pressed her temples, holding one in each hand, and stood in front of Bai Ningning: "The junior sisters thanked you and bought you this?"

"Yeah," Bai Ningning raised her cute little face and said obediently, "Otherwise, what?"

Qin Yue silently put everything back into the shopping bag, then took the bag into the wardrobe and closed the wardrobe door to prevent any items from getting damaged during a fight.

Sorry, even if the King of Heaven came today, this fight must happen.

Bai Ningning suddenly felt that something was off; the air around her was a bit heated, as if a berserker had gone berserk.

She turned her head to see that the collar of the bathrobe was already gone.

Oh, it turned out that it wasn't just berserk; bloodthirst and madness were also surging.

Looking at the older sister approaching, Bai Ningning tilted her head for the last time today: "Can I ask a question first?"

"Ask."

"Do dual blades count as colorless?"

"Count," Qin Yue's soul-devouring hand grabbed her, "But the team instance doesn't prohibit colorless."

…Isn't this about artillery fire?

Bai Ningning's thoughts were drowned in the surge of anger. Today, Qin Yue transformed into an anger warrior.

An explosion of infinite anger, resulting in a score of 99999999.

The monsters in the raid hurt as much as she does.

"Meow, I meowed."

"Today, no surrender will be accepted."

Not even if the King of Heaven himself came.

Once, a berserker in a dark blood reckless set furiously farmed the black volcano. Today, the big sister speed-ran the white snow mountain without any gear.

A girl in the snow, right?

She directly went on a rampage in the snow!

The night fell, it got late, and the lights went out. The annihilation of Antu'en was successful.

People slept, the night passed, the day broke, but she still hadn't gotten up.

By noon, Qin Yue, who had a slightly better constitution, got up first.

Indeed, the berserker mode is hard on the body; entering the dungeon, she had already reduced herself to 20% health and even gave herself a vulnerability debuff, making it quite easy to die suddenly.

After leaving the bedroom, she had the maid bring her a bowl of porridge to drink, which helped her regain some health.

Fortunately, there was nothing urgent to do these days, so she decided to rest for a while.

After some time, Bai Ningning directly slept through the afternoon, essentially combining her late and afternoon naps, waking up only in the afternoon.

Then she groaned and crawled out of bed.

It was strange; she clearly did nothing last night, just lay there playing on her phone. She hadn't said much either; she just answered whatever the big sister asked, being quite obedient.

Why was the big sister angry?

Why, indeed.

"Stop groaning and mumbling; I can't hear what you're saying," Qin Yue's voice came, "Can you get up?"

Only then did Bai Ningning realize that Qin Yue was sitting next to her, watching her.

With a delicate hand, she reached into the blanket, pinched her slender waist, and pressed her soft thigh, feeling a bit sore, like she had done three laps of frog jumps around a 5000-meter track.

"I can't get up."

The girl blinked her beautiful eyes, her pretty little face expressionless, looking a bit pitiful and cute.

"Oh, then just sit there and wait for me."

Qin Yue walked into the inner room, brought out her work laptop, and placed it on Bai Ningning.

Bai Ningning: "?"

"You need to work now," she said, "Don't forget your identity, my secretary and assistant."

Bai Ningning paused slightly: "Am I a secretary or an assistant?"

"Both," Qin Yue instructed her, "Open the computer."

As Bai Ningning flipped open the laptop, she mumbled, "After finishing the last project, didn't the company have no new projects?"

"There are no projects that were bid on, but that doesn't mean we can't do new planning," Qin Yue said, "Those small plans, just try to work on them casually, consider it a way to relax."

Wow, calling small plans relaxation; this is what it means to be a young, energetic, and iron-willed female CEO in her twenties.

Love it... but also a bit scared.

Bai Ningning thought for a moment, tilting her little head to the left: "What do I need to do?"

The first tilt of the day.

Qin Yue considered for a moment and said, "First, create a new folder on the desktop."

Click, click, her slender fingers typed quickly on the keyboard.

"Done."

"Then rename it: New Plan."

"..."

Bai Ningning changed the file name, tossed in Word, Excel, and PPT templates, casually clicked the update button for other software, and only after the progress bar quickly finished did she lift her little face: "All done, what's next?"

"Then put down the computer, get up to eat... you can eat sitting on the bed too, just wait for the maid to bring over the dining table."

Bai Ningning tilted her little head to the right, giving a questioning look.

"I haven't thought of the plan's content yet; we can chat casually while eating," Qin Yue said.
