Chapter 16 - 16- Training

"Magnar Odinson, you have created a magic system capable of granting the power of magic to every single Asgardian, greatly boosting our strength, which is a great merit. For your contributions, I hereby announce you as the general of the armies for the upcoming war, and the Valkyries will become a personal force under your command. Rise, son." My father's voice boomed as he announced this while sitting on his throne.

MAGNAR!!!

MAGNAR!!!

MAGNAR!!!

Yes, this was a court progression… much like the one in Thor 1, where Thor was about to be made king. Though there were fewer people here now, and it was a bit more lackluster compared to that…

I had just explained and demonstrated my new magic system, and well—here we are, with the results.

And can't say that I don't love this… cheering.

I guess I do love being popular.

As for the Valkyries… that came as a surprise. Father told me about the general position, but the Valkyries were probably a gift from him…

I guess his current thoughts are complicated. He's cautious since I'm growing stronger, but he's also very proud, since I am his heir and all. Oh well, this scenario might just continue until he mellows out…

I guess I can only prepare things but not distribute them amongst Asgardians until Father turns peaceful. Otherwise, the war may just keep on going, which is not ideal for me since it will lead to complete disruption of the plot.

'Raphael, what is the progress on the energy systems?'

[Master, the current energy breeders can siphon energy from the Quantum Realm and are much superior compared to Arc Reactors, but they would get unstable as time passes and would break eventually. There is also the problem of them not being able to draw a massive amount of energy at once. It hasn't reached the level of a virtually infinite energy source yet, but I believe that it will be done soon enough.]

'Well, thanks for your hard work. Do your best, Raph.'

[I will, Master.]

Anyways, all the events eventually came to an end, and here I was, standing against my father in a training ground, with a spear in my hand.

"Come at me with all you've got, son," my father ordered, and I did just that. I charged with all my strength.

For me, a spear was my favorite weapon. It could be used to smash like a staff, pierce like a lance, or cut like a blade—a multipurpose weapon featuring both finesse and proper utilization of strength.

I swung my spear straight at his head, trying to deal a heavy blow, but my father simply put Gungnir in front at a 45-degree angle, and my fierce attack simply slid off it. A few more tries—all blocked with ease.

"You have a lot of strength… but strength, unless overwhelming, is useless without a certain level of skill to back it up," my father said, swinging his spear.

When I first saw his raw destructive power, I thought he relied on sheer strength to crush his opponents. But no—his combat experience was just as good…

But he was in for a surprise.

'Raph, copy his fighting style, send it straight to my memory, and condition my muscles accordingly. Then, after his entire fighting style is copied, start enhancing it—further perfecting and improving it.'

[Yes, Master. On it.]

The spar continued as Father swung his spear in a swift motion that almost felt like flowing… and I was casually disarmed.

Yeah… his skills were legendary level.

'On second thought, tone down the integration. Just give me 10% of his skills by the end of today's training. If I reach his level in just one day, I might very well just end up being sealed… and my only consolation would be that someday, Hela would also join me.'

[A good idea, master.... adjusting levels.....planning sequences.....Starting scanning, and don't worry master, Even if you do get sealed, I can push your Divinity of Wisdom to a top-tier level in a few centuries, letting you break free before Hela even gets sealed.]

'Thanks Raph....but I would rather not get sealed....;

Recognizing my father's fighting skills, I knew that if I reached his level in one day of training… I was definitely going to be looked at like a monster.

"And disarming you is that simple. In a war, such a mistake can be fatal. Although your body is unnaturally strong, without a weapon, your chances of getting injured increase, and your attack power decreases. That can have a major impact in a fight," Odin said calmly, guiding me.

"Yes, Father," I replied, picking my spear back up and pointing it toward him.

"It seems you need a new weapon. You favor a spear, like I do. We will go to Nidavellir soon and get you a new weapon—one that suits your growth," he said thoughtfully.

Having a rich dad is awesome… I'll soon get my own divine-class weapon.

But it seems this won't be my final weapon. It'll be like Mjolnir—a weapon suited for growth but not an ultimate weapon…

Since I am the God of Creation, I think I will create my own weapon with Raphael's help. I don't think the dwarves can even hope to match a work made by the peak capabilities of the Wisdom King and the God of Creation combined.

'Raph, start a project called Spear of God. We are going to make the most badass weapon there is—better than even weapons like the Necrosword.'

[Yes, Master. Project Spear of God started. Beginning the process of creating blueprints for the best raw materials required for the spear's creation.]

'Alright, now continue assessing Father's fighting style. Also, search through fictional fighting styles from my memories and use them all to try and figure out a way to further improve his fighting style. Then slowly start incorporating it into me—I should feel like a once-in-a-millennium genius but not like some outright monster.'

[Yes, Master. Preliminary scans of your father's fighting style are already done. Incorporating his fighting style up to 10%. Completed.]

And then came the memories of what felt like years of fighting…

Now it was acting time for me.

"I guess if I want to reach your level, I will have to surpass my limits, Father… HAAHHHH!!!" I screamed and charged,

Like some shonen protagonist—since my improvement in skill level just now was like one.

Don't blame me, this was the best cover-up I could come up with....

And yes, my father seemed to attribute my newfound skills to my determined charge and sheer willpower. The spar continued for a few more hours, marking the end of my first day of training with my father.

'Alright, done with scanning my father's skills, Raph?'

[All done, Master. Starting enhancements.]
