Carley, Glenn, and I were inside a room of the motel. On the bed was the girl who had been bitten on the arm. "Hope you didn't give her a concussion," Glenn said, standing to my right, looking at the unconscious girl with a med kit next to her.
"Here it is," Carley said, lifting an iron in her hand, which I had instructed her to find after seeing that the room didn't have a stove and had even lower chances of finding a blowtorch.
"Connect it," I said, gesturing to the outlet placed beside the bed. She quickly went over and connected the iron, and it began to heat. I made the tourniquet again with my belt, and I could tell I couldn't wear it again; it was ruined beyond repair.
I had placed a wooden plank under her arm so I could make a clean cut.
"Alright, who is going to grill her?" I asked the two. Glenn slowly backed dissapearing from my sight, "Urgh! I'll do it." Carley exhaled.
A minute passed, and the iron had reached the optimal heat. "Glenn, cover her mouth. Hard," I said to him, raising the axe high. "Oh man," Glenn sighed and sat beside her, his hand covering the girl's mouth.
Carley nodded. I swung my arm down, chopping her's. Carley froze; the guts she had shown minutes ago were gone, as were Glenn's, but his grip tightened instead of loosening, which was good, as the girl woke up from the pain, her eyes horrified. She screamed, but her voice was muffled, and her eyes shook left and right.
I grabbed the iron from Carley, who had lost herself, and pressed the iron on the cut. The smell of burning flesh filled the room. Carley ran outside, unable to bear it, and the girl passed out due to the pain.
I quickly patched her and told Glenn to look after her. I headed outside and saw Carley leaning against the handrail.
"I-I'm sorry, I shouldn't have said yes," Carley cried out. I stood next to her, "You did pretty good for a first time." I said and stopped to think. "I saw that look this morning," I added, grabbing her attention. "So it was-"
"Yes, it was true. She was his sister, and I was asking her to bring me a blowtorch so I can save her brother, and even though it would save his life, she couldn't move, standing there frozen," I said to her, my arm on her back, "But you can kill the Dead, and she can't, so you're alot better than her in that regard," I said with a smile.
She hugged me all of a sudden, which I seemed to like. "What's this? Gonna cry again?" I said, my hand on her head.
She looked up with an adorable, angry face and trembling lips. I leaned in, she closed her eyes as her soft lips touched mine. I felt it, attachment to someone other than myself. My tongue touched her lips, signaling her to open her mouth, and she did, as our tongues tangled-
Buuuuzzzz!
Buuuuzzzzz!
I broke the kiss and backed away from Carley, hearing the Alarm of the pharmacy go off. "I have to go." I quickly went inside and picked up my cane and the axe. "Where's the gas?" I asked Glenn who was keeping an eye on the girl.
"It's next to the ice machine, where you found me… Hey, what's this sound?" Glenn asked, hearing the alarm in the distance.
Without answering, I headed out to see Carley, who was ready to go with me. "Don't. If that girl turns, Glenn won't be able to kill her. Stay here," I told her and ran to the stairs.
I stopped and turned to her. I tossed her the cane. "Don't waste bullets on the dead." Carley was confused, not getting the cryptic message. I smiled and headed down.
I looked at the RV parked in the middle. 'This will work just fine,' I thought and went inside.
It was dead, I brainstormed as, 'A bit over a mile.' I thought, 'Fuck.'
"I'll be back with them." I turned to Carley, who had come down from the motel. "You promise?" She questioned, worried, will he even reach them in time?
"I promise."
I sprinted as fast as I could with the jerry can in hand. 'Clementine. I shoudn't have left her,' I thought, 'She'll survive it, she's a tough nut,'

A few minutes earlier:
Inside the retail area, Larry was leaning against a shelf while Lilly stood next to him. "Hey, when are they going to return?" Lilly asked Kenny who was with his family, but he didn't have an answer.
Clementine had placed her bag near the exit in case of an emergency and was looking around for anything useful to take from the store.
She found two batteries and four energy bars, which she placed inside the bag, and the radio as well, since it was working, it could come in handy.
"Those bastards left us," Larry said meekly. "The two of them had the guns, why would they come back?" he said. Kenny looked at him as uncertainty crept in. 'No, he wouldn't do that,' Kenny shook his head, remembering how determined he looked while saving Shawn. 'He wouldn't leave Clementine,' Kenny thought and looked at the carefree Clementine whose feet were swinging off the table she was sitting on.
'She knows that too,' Kenny chuckled inwardly.
"They left us to die," Larry began hyperventilating, clutching his chest as he went into another attack. Lilly's eyes were wide open, horrified at the sight of her dad's worsening condition. "Dad!" she screamed, but there was no answer.
As Larry began to lose his strength, Lilly ran and began to bash the perforated metal wall behind the counter. She picked up a chair and started throwing it against the wall.
Kenny pulled her back, "Hey! Stop that, those things are gonna hear it and gonna break in before you do," Kenny told her, which did stop her. "There's a door in the office," Clementine pondered before finally telling her. Lilly looked at her with a frown. "And when were you gonna tell us that?" Lilly yelled and ran inside.
"Wait!" Clementine screamed, "Wesker said there might be a theft alarm set up; we need to find a key." Clementine stopped her erratic actions. Kenny was on the edge, an alarm would have those things swarming them from all sides.
Lilly pondered, "Where's the key?" she asked Clementine, putting her hands on her shoulders and squeezing them tightly. "I don't know. Wesker said he had a clue, and that's all I heard." Lilly lets go of Clementine
Lilly headed inside the office while Kenny was brainstorming on how to get his family out of this shitty situation, Kenny follows after Lilly, and pulls her by the arm, "You're not touching that door," He said pulling her aside and standing in front of the door, Clementine watched both of them argue, wishing for Wesker to return quickly.
