---------------

Hikaru's expression shifted with emotion. Princess Otohime had truly loved Shirahoshi, but sadly, she was assassinated early on by Hody Jones.

He reached out and took the item from Neptune's hands. It turned out to be a jade box. Opening it, he found a pair of light gold and pink shell earrings inside.

They looked very similar to the pale yellow shell earrings Shirahoshi usually wore.

"Don't worry. I'll personally put these earrings on Shirahoshi," he said firmly. "You couldn't protect her in the past—but from now on, her future will be guarded by even more family."

With that, he gave Shirahoshi's sister, Shyarly, a look, and together they left the hall.

Only Neptune remained, quietly overwhelmed by emotion for a long, long time…

While flying through the sky, Hikaru held Shyarly in his arms and asked:

"You don't really know anyone in Fishman Street, do you?"

Shyarly shook her head decisively. "Of course not. I just lived there for a bit when I was young. Back then, the environment was actually pretty nice."

"Good. Then I can just start killing."

"Mhm~"

Hikaru moved fast. Before long, he had returned Shyarly to his private estate. With his wide-range Observation Haki and his ability to lock onto Fishmen, he could now easily sense every presence on Fishman Street.

After several flashes of lightning, he hovered in the sky above it.

He could only vaguely remember a few leaders of the New Fishman Pirates—Hody Jones, the striped fishman Zeo who could turn invisible, and the drunken octopus Daruma who once fought Zoro. Wasn't there a dwarf too?

Hikaru's Observation Haki swept over the entire area. Fishman Street was run-down, with barely any closed-off spaces to block his Haki.

Found you.

Drinking in the open? Talk about bad luck. Octopus and leopard—hiding in plain sight.

"Divine Judgment!"

Though Fishman Island had a bright sky and a few clouds thanks to its artificial sun, Hikaru's Divine Judgment didn't need cloud cover. A brilliant blue bolt descended straight from the clear sky, crashing down with an earth-shaking boom.

No one dared stand near the drunken Daruma. When intoxicated, he couldn't tell friend from foe—he'd attack anyone in sight.

Before Daruma could react, he was engulfed by a blazing blue lightning strike, creating a gaping crater in the middle of Fishman Street.

Hikaru watched the scene through his Observation Haki and muttered to himself, The land here is even more valuable than the Sky Islands. I already held back on Divine Judgment's power, and it still melted the ground.

What a shame to ruin such a beautiful island.

The strike had been so fast that it killed Daruma before the sound could even catch up. Then, the deafening thunder rolled across the entire street.

"Was that thunder?!"

"This is Fishman Island—10,000 meters under the sea. How can there be thunder?!"

Many Fishmen who'd been to the surface recognized the power of Hikaru's lightning and were stunned in awe.

The blast drew out more Fishmen from hiding, allowing Hikaru to observe them more clearly.

But they were all too weak. He needed someone with a stronger presence.

"You," he called, eyes narrowing on one fishman whose aura was slightly more powerful. "Tell me where Hody Jones is. Do that, and I might let you live."

Hikaru's Conqueror's Haki washed over him, leaving the fishman shaking uncontrollably.

"I… I don't know… Wait! No, Hody Jones—he's on the north side of Fishman Street, by the fanciest house. You can't miss it…"

Hikaru nodded. With his ability to read minds, no one could lie to him. He instantly transformed into lightning and shot toward the north.

Sure enough, a large house stood there, though it wasn't as "luxurious" as described.

Several Fishmen wandered lazily around the area.

"300 Million Volts: Thunderbird!"

A crackling cry echoed through the sky as the Thunderbird spread its massive wings. Its overwhelming presence froze the patrolling Fishmen in place.

BOOM!!!

The Thunderbird crashed into the upper floor of the building, tearing through the outer defenses and randomly targeting an unlucky soul. The moment it passed through his body, it erupted with a deafening explosion.

As the smoke and dust settled, coughing, weak breathing, and the grinding of teeth echoed through the ruined structure.

"What the hell's going on?! Who dares to attack us!?"

"Boss Hody, you still alive?"

"I think so… Ow…"

Crackle~ sizzle~

The smell of scorched fish began to fill the air as Hikaru silently raised his foot—the same one that had just electrocuted Hody Jones' soul into oblivion.

"Hody Jones, huh? Heh…"

A weakling like this, who couldn't even use Haki and relied on those ridiculous Energy Steroids to boost his strength… Luffy didn't even kill him on the spot back then? He must've been holding back for the show.

Hikaru, on the other hand, wouldn't make such a rookie mistake. (Mostly because there was no crowd, no stage, and he couldn't be bothered to act cool.)

Hody Jones didn't even get the chance to take the deadly ES drug. He was fried on the spot and sent straight to the afterlife—to reunite with his idol, Arlong.

"Who are you?! What did you do to Boss Hody?!" shouted a shark fishman as he stumbled back in fear. Judging by his appearance, he seemed to be the same race as Hody.

In Fishman genetics, children don't necessarily inherit their species from their parents. It often traces back to ancestors from many generations ago. It was probably just a coincidence that he shared a race with Hody—no wonder he followed him so loyally.

"200 Million Volts: Electric Eyes."

Hikaru locked eyes with the shark-man. In just a few seconds, the intense, penetrating electricity from his stare reduced the man to ashes.

"Doss! Kill him!"

The voice came from underground. Hikaru glanced around and spotted an invisible Fishman lying low.

He'd been pinned down by a few of his own minions and hadn't made a sound until now. But after witnessing Hody Jones' death, he couldn't hold back anymore.

That had to be him…

The ridiculous Fishman Zeo, who had an inflated sense of pride but still let himself be stepped on by others.

Following the command, Doss charged at Hikaru, yelling his own name—"Doss!"—which made Hikaru's eye twitch slightly.

So these were supposed to be the elite fighters of the New Fishman Pirates?

Hikaru removed all the limits on his power. Guided by his Observation Haki, lightning erupted in all directions, electrocuting every Fishman in the area.

"AAARGH!!!"

"Please! Spare me! I was forced into this!"

"Aaaah~ this feels amazing!"

The Fishmen shrieked and wailed as one after another collapsed under Hikaru's relentless electric storm.

Ironically, a few electric eel Fishmen actually looked thrilled under the voltage. Hikaru's lightning seemed to energize them rather than hurt them. The more they were shocked, the more pumped up they got—moaning in bliss like they were enjoying a massage.

But to Hikaru, it didn't matter.

Numbers meant nothing to him. In a world of extraordinary powers, only the truly strong survive the battles at the top.
