Alex rushed into the bathroom and thankfully found it empty. She entered a random stall and leaned against the wall, heart pounding in her chest.
She needed a moment to recollect herself.
Why did she behave that way? And most importantly, what had gotten into Julian?
Julian's sudden change in behavior was bewildering. One moment, he was aloof and distant, but now he seemed strangely attentive. It was as if he was a completely different person.
His strange behavior was making it increasingly difficult to resist him.
Still seated in the stall, lost in thought, she heard the click of heels entering the bathroom. Her brow arched. Who wore heels to a karaoke bar?
"...I haven't seen him since that failed date. I think his parents are avoiding me, too." A voice came. The speaker seemed to be talking to someone on the phone. "Do you know anything?"
Alex's eyes narrowed. The voice was familiar, but she couldn't place it.
