Yasin opened an electrical cabinet containing the circuit breakers and, following the labels, quickly found the one for the second-floor kitchen.
Aside from the kitchen, he also noticed that the circuit breakers for the master bedroom, study, and a security room were turned off.
This meant that now, in addition to the kitchen, the master bedroom and study on the second floor, as well as an unknown security room, could all receive power.
However, Yasin couldn't find the circuit breakers for the first floor in this cabinet.
This cabinet seemed to control only the second-floor power supply.
Following the labels further, he finally found another breaker marked for the surveillance control room and emergency defense equipment.
After a brief moment of hesitation, Yasin gritted his teeth and firmly pulled down the switch!
Click!
With the sound of the breaker engaging, a current buzz echoed through the power distribution room. Immediately after, the generator's motor roared to life.
Power was restored!
The storage batteries were full, so the generator started running immediately, confirming that the high-power surveillance system and emergency defense equipment were now online!
Yasin glanced at his watch. It was 3:17 PM.
Still enough time!
Wasting no time, he swiftly exited the power room and arrived at the iron gate beside it.
Outside, a dozen zombies sensed his presence and let out excited snarls toward him.
Through the iron bars, Yasin could see the front yard.
The guardhouse lights were on, the electric fence along the perimeter walls was now charged, and the previously dim security cameras emitted a red glow.
The power was back!
Now, he needed to figure out how to close the main gate!
To do that, he had to move the car blocking the entrance!
Gripping his sword tightly, Yasin swiftly stabbed through the skulls of the zombies pressing against the iron bars before vaulting over the gate. With measured steps, he advanced cautiously, scanning his surroundings.
The front yard had been cleared earlier, and only two newly arrived zombies remained. Yasin quickly dispatched them before heading toward the guardhouse.
The space inside was small, no more than a dozen square meters, equipped with several monitors displaying live feeds of the front yard, backyard, main gate, and the villa's perimeter.
Yasin also noticed a switch panel featuring a red button and a blue button, along with three walkie-talkies lying on the floor. This was clearly the control panel for the front gate.
Pocketing the walkie-talkies into the Dimensional Cube, he scanned the area one last time before making his way to the Lincoln parked near the entrance.
He tried the driver's side door.
Locked.
Peering through the window, he saw a man in a black suit slumped in the driver's seat, his head blown apart by a gunshot.
In the backseat sat an older man, his left arm bearing a deep bite mark. In his right hand—astonishingly—was a pistol.
The old man's head was tilted back, his mouth frozen in a silent scream. Blood splattered the leather seats and rear windshield.
The doors and windows were locked. Smashing the glass wasn't an option—it would trigger the alarm, drawing a horde of zombies and creating unnecessary trouble.
Abandoning that idea, Yasin decided to try pushing the vehicle.
Luckily, the handbrake wasn't engaged. With considerable effort, he managed to roll the car away from the entrance.
Once the path was clear, Yasin returned to the guardhouse and pressed the red button.
With a heavy clunk, the iron gates rumbled shut, sealing off the estate from the outside world.
Seeing the gates fully closed, Yasin exhaled deeply in relief.
Now, the entire estate was completely isolated. There was no way zombies—or even people—could get in!
Next, he needed to clear out any remaining zombies inside the estate.
To do that, he first needed a complete understanding of the estate's layout by checking the surveillance feeds for hidden threats and mapping out the villa's interior.
This massive villa spanned over a thousand square meters, with numerous interconnected rooms and a labyrinthine design.
Unlike regular homes, luxury estates often took inspiration from old castles, with winding corridors and hidden passageways. Anyone unfamiliar with the layout could easily get lost inside.
Yasin reentered the villa through the front door, exercising even greater caution this time.
Thanks to Vivian Sinclair's earlier directions, he quickly navigated his way toward the security room.
The villa was eerily silent. There was no sign of the strange zombies he had encountered before.
The place was huge, with numerous rooms. Many doors were left slightly ajar, while others stood wide open.
If any zombies were lurking, they had countless places to hide.
At this moment, Yasin couldn't be sure just how many of them were still inside.
Judging by the sheer size of the mansion and the numerous rooms, Yasin would believe it if someone told him there were hundreds of zombies hiding inside.
After all, the pile of zombie corpses scattered across the ground was enough evidence that this place had once been swarming with over a thousand of them!
Just the number of corpses alone—at least several hundred—was staggering.
Yasin gently pushed against the door of the security room. It was locked.
He frowned. Using a chainsaw here was clearly suicidal. Even if there were only a few of those eerie mutated zombies inside, he had no confidence that he could get out unscathed!
Not to mention, the security room itself could be filled with locked-in zombies.
But without using the chainsaw, there was no way to break through the reinforced steel security door.
Damn it!
Now, Yasin found himself in a dilemma.
