My heart melted as I held those words. The way he pronounced my name made me smile and he smiled back, the little child in him awakening.
"Well…don't think you've won my heart because of that," I said nervously.
"No," He retorted softly. "I love you for who you are. Trust me."
"And what about Seraphina?"
"You know the funny thing about this?" He inquired.
"What is that?"
"I could not determine the feeling between her and me then because she's not the one meant for me, she is just the bridge that connected both of us." He replied calmly.
"A bridge? So you're telling me a woman from your era is a bridge that connected a girl from another era here? That's confusing." I said and he exhaled sharply.
"It is getting late, you don't want to wake up with a swollen eye tomorrow."

"Shhh, no buts." He cut in and I rolled my eyes. "We will discuss this tomorrow, I promise."
