He explained softly.
"I promise to try my best." I retorted and he placed his hand on my cheek.
"I have to talk to Alistair about how to protect our people and restrain them from having anything to do with the East side for now. The illness is contagious, and you also have to be careful of what you eat or touch; who knows if anyone has contracted it in the town."
"I will be careful, Lorien. Go and talk to your brother." I replied, and he smiled, then walked out of the courtroom.
Irene came up to me and escorted me out. I was shocked to see Arya mount a horse and ride off while Alistair tried to stop her.
"Listen to me, Arya! You going there is just more harm than good! This illness is dangerous." He yelled as he stood before her horse confidently.
"If I come back safe, thank the goddess but if I don't, forget about me." She responded and whipped the horse.
"Close the gates!" Lorien commanded as the horse tried to run over Alistair.
