Adalyn was surprised to see that Logan didn't reach the kitchen to see that she left his credit card. Whenever she thought about Logan, images of his actions last night replayed in her head vividly, striking fear in her heart. The atmosphere around her suddenly felt cold so she discarded thoughts about him and left for her room.
Logan's car was in the parking space for three days but Adalyn never set her eyes on him or heard from him. Although she was curious about his whereabouts like that night, she would always force herself not to get involved in Logan's matter. Hence, she made no effort to know where he was or to even check his room.
On the 22nd of April, Adalyn arrived home in the evening with her friends to celebrate the holidays. They had ordered food and snacks, ready for game and other activities.
Their laughter danced in the air as they approached the entrance and even after taking off their footwears and entering the house, their conversation and laughter remained.
