Chapter 5 - Chapter five

~ Aria's pov ~

I slumped down on the small bed in the dark chamber, my mind racing with anger and hurt. How could Dante do this to me? I seethed, my fists clenched. I'll kill him, I won't spare him.

Just as I was ranting, my stomach growled loudly, reminding me that I hadn't eaten anything. I shouldn't have spoken to him so rudely, I thought, berating myself. How could I forget the kind of devil he is?

Ugh, I'm so hungry. I stood up and stomped to the door, knocking loudly. "Someone, please!" I shouted, hoping someone would hear me.

But it was the guard who responded, his voice cold and menacing. "If you make another sound, I'll kill you immediately."

I scoffed, my anger boiling over. "You think you can kill the Alpha's wife? You've got to be kidding me. There's nothing you can do to me, boy. Now, go tell your precious Alpha that his wife is starving. He should bring me food."

But the guard didn't respond. I was met with silence, which only fueled my frustration. Who does this low-life guard think he is, ignoring me?

I paced back and forth in the small chamber, feeling trapped and helpless. My powers were stuck, and I had no idea how to unlock them. Why did I even come here? I thought, despair creeping in.

But then I remembered my goal - revenge. I won't let Dante destroy my pack again. I'll kill him before he does. The thought sent a surge of determination through me, and I stood tall, ready to face whatever lay ahead.

I sat down, feeling frustrated and tired. My fists were clenched, thinking about how Dante was treating me. Suddenly, I heard footsteps outside my cell. I thought it was Dante, and my anger boiled over.

But then I heard a faint knock on the door. "Who's there?" I asked.

"It's me, Heaven," she replied. "How are you doing, Aria? Are you okay?"

I stood up and looked through the small hole in the door. My voice was calm but sad. "I'm not okay. I'm stuck in this small place with no food. I'm so hungry."

Heaven's expression was worried. "It's okay, Aria. The alpha will send someone to let you out."

I scoffed. "You think Dante will free me? That devil would rather let me die."

Heaven looked sad. "I'm sorry, Aria. I wish I could bring you food, but I'm not allowed to open the door."

I felt frustrated. "It's not your fault, Heaven. Thanks for coming to see me."

Just then, we heard footsteps coming from afar. "Heaven, you need to leave now," I said. "No one should see you here."

Heaven nodded. "Okay, Aria. I'll try to visit you later."

"Go now," I said.

Heaven left quickly, and I was alone again.

I peeked through the small hole in the door to see who was coming. To my disappointment, it was the guard again. I let out a frustrated hiss.

My stomach growled with hunger, and I felt a sharp pain. I hit the door weakly, "Please, bring me food," I begged, my voice laced with desperation. "My stomach hurts."

The guard's expression was unyielding. "You won't get anything to eat unless the Alpha orders it," he said firmly. "Stop shouting and wasting your strength. I advise you to rest and conserve your energy."

I felt defeated. I couldn't do anything more. My body was weak, and my hunger was overwhelming. I went back to the bed and lay down, letting sleep take over.

I woke up to the faint glow of sunlight peeking through the small window in my cell, and I realized it was already the next day. My body felt heavy, and my muscles ached as I tried to move. I was extremely weak and couldn't even stand up from the bed without struggling. My head spun, and my stomach growled with hunger.

After managing to stand, I stumbled to the door and knocked weakly, "Is anyone there?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper. But there was no response. The silence was deafening, and I felt like I was completely alone in the world.

I fell to my knees, my body weakening further. The room was hot and suffocating, and I felt like I couldn't take it anymore. I was tired, hungry, and desperate. Tears pricked at the corners of my eyes as I thought about my situation. What had I done to deserve such treatment?

Just then, I heard footsteps approaching. I looked through the small hole in the door and saw the guard. My heart skipped a beat as I begged, "Please, bring me food." My voice was barely audible, but the guard heard me.

The guard's expression was sympathetic, but firm. "I'm sorry, my lady," he said. "The alpha has given strict orders not to bring you food or water. I'm not allowed to defy his orders." His voice laced with pity, but I could understand his fears. He was scared of Dante, and he didn't want to cross him.

I felt hopeless. I didn't know what to do anymore. I didn't want to put anyone in trouble because of me. The guard's words echoed in my mind - Dante had given strict orders not to bring me food or water. That meant he wanted me to suffer, to break me. But I wouldn't give him the satisfaction. I would find a way to survive, to escape, and to make him pay for what he was doing to me.

I sat on the floor, my back against the wall, and my eyes fixed on the door. I was waiting for something, anything, to happen. I was waiting for a chance to escape, to fight back, and to take control of my life again. And I was willing to do whatever it took to make that happen.

I was starting to feel weak, and I fell to the ground, my eyes began to close, my body feeling numb. I heard footsteps coming and I heard Dante's voice, " open the door." He ordered. My eyes was closed and I could not hear anything anymore.
