"I will not repeat myself again, waitress" Seviun said to her, his face showing his impatience
"I am sorry, sir, but no" she replied inching backwards, towards the door.
"What?"
"I am sorry I can't do what you are asking of me" Allegra said, her back now against the door. The Alpha King looked confused, to further clarify she said, "I cannot sleep with you, sir"
"Sleep with… what? You think that's why I called you?" Seviun looked both appalled and completely disgusted with the idea of having anything to do with her. "Of course not, you idiot" he said looking as though he was tired of her presence and the conversation.
"Look I don't have time to beat around the bush or have you think such degrading and belittling, disgusting thoughts about me" Seviun said before pausing and giving her a disgusted once over before shaking his head. Allegra felt insulted and wanted to tell him just what she thought about him as well, but decided to listen to her head and hold her tongue as the Alpha King continued speaking
"I called you to my room tonight because I would like a massage"
"What?" Allegra could not hold back her surprise; of all things she wasn't expecting that.
"You need not be so shocked about it, I am surprised myself that I did call you of all people for a massage, but my other masseuse has gone to be with her daughter who just had a hard delivery of her first child, and she would be away for months. And of all the people to replace her in the villa, till I find suitable replacement, that is, you seem to have the most delicate hands" He explained, not even knowing why he felt the need to explain to this human servant of his.
"Well, I am sorry to disappoint you but I am no masseuse. I have no experience, Sir" Allegra politely turned the offer of being temporary royal masseuse down
"Don't I know?" he sneered, "You are reckless enough as a waitress, I cannot imagine you having the smoothness and skill of a masseuse"
"Hey! I was never a reckless waitress; you were the one on my path that day"
"Oh, are we going to get into that now, waitress, because if I remember correctly, and I do, you are yet to be punished for that day" Seviun reminded her with a cold beastly smile that would make some other sensible girl back down but of course not Allegra.
"How funny, you are the one who should be punished, like seriously what were you doing in the way?! Like some dumbo" Allegra must have taken leave of her senses, because her mouth must have forgotten who was before her, and her voice was now raised at him.
"Who did you just call a dumbo?" Seviun's anger was evident in his voice as he stood to his full towering height, who did this puny human waitress think she was to speak to him this way. "How dare you raise your voice at me, do you have a death wish, filthy human?"
Allegra nearly did shrink at the sound of his voice and the way it boomed, his red Alpha eyes were almost glowing with anger, then she heard what he called her and refused to be intimidated, she would stand up not just for herself but also for her kind that he seems to think are beneath him and his were kind
"I am not a filthy human" Allegra said, crossing her arms and jutting out her jaw, "If I was filthy you wouldn't want me making your meals would you? Or being your temporary masseuse for that matter"
"Shut your mouth" he instructed coming closer to her, "You would not speak back at me, human!" he snarled. "Now, keep quiet and get to the reason for which I told you were called"
"No" She defiantly said.
"What did you say to me?"
"I said no, I bet that word is foreign to you, but no I would not play your masseuse tonight, especially when you are not being nice about it!" she turned to leave
"Come back here!" he said
"Goodnight, Sir" she wished him and closed the door behind her
"Waitress!" he shouted after her from behind the closed door of his bedroom.
Allegra didn't turn back as she ran back to her room and shut her door, every façade of bravado gone.
By the morning, Seviun looked terribly like he hadn't slept a wink all night, and the three days after that he seemed to look worse each morning, it would much be later that she would discover just why.
