"Hey wait up!" Laura, one of Allegra's friends at the university, a petite beauty of Indian descent, called to her as she ran up to her. Allegra stopped, wanting to hear what made her friend run after her; and it would be nice to catch up to, it has been long since they last spoke, with her being the Alpha King's new cook and all.
"Gosh, you walk fast" Laura breathed as she finally caught up with her, panting, with both hands on her knees, "Curse these short legs" she spoke of her own legs
"Hey, Laura, nice to meet you too" Allegra said, laughing at her friend's antics. "What's up?"
"I am good, but let's get out of the sun first, alright?" Laura said already leading her away to a shaded area.
"How did you do on your test?" Laura started
"I didn't flunk it" Allegra replied honestly, she didn't pass the test she had about three days ago, but at least she didn't flunk it. And this time she can place the blame for her not so stellar grade fully on Seviun, if he hadn't called her for a dumb massage that night, she would have never left her room and would probably have ended up reading something.
"Wait, how did you know I recently wrote a test?" Allegra asked, remembering she didn't tell Laura about her test last Friday and they didn't speak over the weekend.
"You remember, Dustin, my hookup from Chester's party?" Laura asked
"Yeah, what does this have to do with him?"
"Well, he and I have been having sort of a thing going on..." Laura was saying
"What, really? What of David from last month?" Allegra asked, worried her friend is going back to her former ways of changing boys like outfits. Laura Malhotra is one of this beautiful girls who are so casual about sex and change partners from time to time, like so fast. Before than Allegra can decide if she likes a guy or not, Laura has already gone through Tom, Dick and Harry and back to Tom or Harry, or both.
"Oh, he is old news now, that didn't last," Laura replied, "and don't sidetrack me" seeing the knowing look Allegra was giving her, she added "I am fine really, and don't really I am trying to stick to one guy this time, I swear"
"So, this guy, Dustin, is serious, like boyfriend serious?" Allegra asked, knowing her friend she already knew what the answer would be.
"Not really, he is more like a casual fling, a dick on dial, you know" Laura answered, not disappointing Allegra, who had already guessed the reply, though not in this exact words
"No, I don't know, what the heck is 'dick on dial'?" Allegra asked, not believing she just voiced such dirty words herself
"Oh don't look at me that way Allegra, he is like really good in bed, so whenever I am feeling it, I just holler him and he is like always available" Laura replied, her face somehow as though she was picturing something dirty having to do with Dustin and a bed.
"Ew" Allegra grimaced
"Oh stop, he knows it's nothing serious too, so we are good, just two university kids helping each other relieve all these stress from studying." Laura tried to make it sound better, "Don't, worry when you let go of that V card you would finally understand what I am talking about"
Allegra rolled her eyes at her friend, somehow she brings this same line up in all their conversations. "It's not you do much studying anyway, so how would you know what stress from studying is like" she threw back
Laura laughed lightheartedly, "I guess you are right, I should open my books more"
"Hey!" Laura suddenly slapped Allegra's arm, as they began to walk to the bus stop, "What was that for?"
"You sidetracked me and made me forget why I brought up Dustin"
"Oh, yeah, what were you talking about?"
"Dustin is your course mate and he is the one who told me about the test you guys had, he didn't pass it as well, if that's any consolidation"
"It isn't, but thanks still, at least now I know I didn't not flunk it alone" Allegra chuckled.
"And guess what else I heard from Dustin in our last sex meet"
"Oh please don't call it that" Allegra groaned, stopping as they got to the bus stop
"Oh sorry, did I offend your fragile sensibilities?" Laura asked sarcastically as she laughed at her friend who rolled her eyes with a hint of a smile on her face.
"Go on about what Dustin said, before you accuse me of sidetracking you again" Allegra said
"You were supposed to guess but you are bad at that, so I will just be out with it" Laura said, her voice surreptitiously lower as she said her next statement, so as not to be heard by others at the stop. "He also said that you there is a new rumor in class about you; that you are now the Alpha King's mistress"
"What? You guys gossip about me?!" Allegra didn't know when her voice went high
"No, of course not, I would never do that" Laura told her, refusing to be offended by the accusation, knowing Allegra didn't really think such, "We were just talking after you know, and he goes on talking about this Allegra in his class who was summoned by the Alpha King, which we all know there is only one Allegra with that story, and then I become curious to hear what he has to say about my friend and then he goes on about how there is some rumor about how she, you, are now the Alpha King's mistress" Laura explained. "I personally think that is stupid though, because whoever started that definitely has no proof and is probably just jealous of you or something"
"Very stupid" Allegra agreed, angered not just by the rumor that could be going around her class, though she is yet to hear it herself but she has been recently noticing some different reactions from some of her course mates whenever she is around, but more by the fact that stupid people would readily believe it without any proof of fact.
"There is no such thing going on between Sev… the Alpha King and I, and there never can be. For one, he is not like that and I personally, would never agree to such" Allegra said, then turned to see a funny look on her friend's face, "What?"
"Were you going to address the Alpha King by his birth name just now? OMG!" Laura squealed as Allegra could not deny, "Are you guys really that acquainted already?"
"No we are not" Allegra gritted out, not happy with the excited look on her friend's face.
While they were talking, about two buses had come and gone, but they were much too engrossed in their conversation to get on any, as of this moment a sleek black expensive jeep had just parked feet away from the bus stop, looking totally out of place in the current environment. But the two girls didn't notice the car and neither did they notice when two men came down from the car and stood facing them, not at all far away.
"Who knows there may be probability of some action, if you know what I mean, in you guys future" Laura said with suggestive eyes and wiggling brows, looking all too excited at the prospect of her friend having some sexual affair with the ruler of their country.
"Gross. Ew" Allegra grimaced, "He may look handsome and all but trust me when I tell you he is the biggest asshole on earth and I would rather throw myself off a deadly cliff than have anything even remotely sexual to do with him"
"Really," Someone said from behind Allegra, and she could swear she knew that voice, she just hoped it wasn't who she was thinking else she would be in big trouble again. As she looked at the wide eyes and hanging mouth of her friend, she sighed, her thoughts were confirmed; it definitely was him, the Alpha king.
What was he doing here?
Slowly she turned around,
"It is a good thing the feeling is mutual then, although I am more likely to throw you off a deadly cliff than throw myself" he said, with a cold look in his eyes
She swallowed as she looked from him to the door of the sleek car behind him that was held open by one of his burly personal werewolf guards
"Get in" he simply said, the cocky grin on his face let her know she was I trouble.
Without a last look or a goodbye to Laura she got into the car, her heat beating faster in anticipation of her punishment at home, she had said bad things about the beastly Alpha king to his hearing, once again.
Through the tinted windows of the car, she saw Laura shyly wave her goodbye with a pitiful look in her eyes, before scampering off into the next available bus.
As they drove off, towards the villa with the car in complete silence, Allegra felt truly alone in this.
Her big mouth has put her in trouble again, plus she was late today, she is meant to have reached the villa and prepared his lunch about forty minutes ago, if not an hour; she lost track of time talking with Laura.
