Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: The Eclipse Syndicate

The floating hollow blades members charge at Kai using Aether enhancement to increase their speed. Kai Prepared for the the attack. Kai: "bring it you filthy rats." The hollow blades break their formation, the commander coming directly at Kai and the other two breaking to Kai's sides. The commander flings a kick but Kai deflects it. Kai then counters with a jab to the jaw, which is caught by the second hollow blade member. All of the members simultaneously throw punches at Kai Which he blocks. Kai activates his Pure Aether and gets to work, Beating them to the point where they activate their Hollow Aether. Kai holds his own against the 3 but After a few minutes, the extensive use of this power he isn't used to makes Kai collapses to his knees, his nose dripping with blood. Hollow blade commander: "you're a really a pain in the butt." Kai: "Shut the hell up... You dirty piece of trash!" The commander steps closer to Kai, his hand glowing with Aether. The commander grabs Kai's hair, forcing him to his feet and then using his Aether empowered hand and attempts to draw out the Eclipse shard that was within Kai. This makes him wince in pain but Kai retaliates by making another force field around himself. Commander: "This is a joke!" The Hollow blades fly back into the split sky which shuts after their departure, leaving a weakened Kai limp on the ground. Kai lies breathing heavily on the gound until a mysterious, hooded Eclipser that appears to be in his twenties, He transfers a bit of Aether to Kai giving him a bit of energy. ???: "Hey there buddy. I'm Lysander. You don't often use Aether huh?" Kai: "shut it!" Lysander: "No on a serious note you aren't going to survive a world like this without some serious training. Hmmmm... I would recommend the Twilight order if they weren't a gang of outlaws. You know I'm actually a former member of the Twilight order." Kai: "Do you ever shut up?! All of these dumb factions! Their all a bunch of morons!" Lysander: "Here's a crazy idea... How about you join the Eclipse Syndicate" Kai's face falls "my father's old faction? I can't" Lysander: "Oh c'mon. I iterally just watched you buddy, you would've died if Zerath had appeared. I'll even ask Rhea to help you with your Aether mastery." Kai: "You know about Rhea?" Lysander: "Uh huh, and I know that you need a mentor..." Kai thinks for a moment before agreeing to Lysander's proposal Kai: "Alright, alright. Just shut up already!" Lysander and Kai begin walking away but a lean but matured figure lingers watching from a high up ledge which happens to be Fen. Fen: "Absolutely weak!"After a few hours Lysander brings Kai to the Syndicate palace, where he sees Zara (Zara is one of Kai's female childhood rivals. Kai and Zara were separated after brawl between their families) Kai walks up to Zara but isn't able to say anything. After a few minutes of awkward silence between the two, Zara removes her scarf and finally speak "You still haven't learnt how to use your own aether? ... Wow. You do realise that you're the only one of whoever's left in this world that doesn't know how to use Aether" Kai: "Shut up! I'm going to beat Zerath and take the throne! I'll become number 1!" The two glare at eachother. Kai: "it's weird being back here after a decade you have to admit. I miss him but there's nothing that can be done... Except revenge. That bastard Zerath deserves to choke on his own blood for killing destroying my family!" Zara: "geez, cool it with the vulgar thoughts. We're trying to keep it PG here!" Kai suddenly sees Rhea and walks over to her. Kai: "hey." Rhea: "don't get too excited, I'm only here because that Lysander guy wouldn't leave me alone. I've got a lot of work cut out for me" Kai: "totally"
