"Are you okay?" Ice ran back into the coach, abandoning Selena in the vestibule. She'd seen how easily that guy overpowered Silas, her pupils trembling as she glared upon them.
Silas shifted his gaze to meet hers, and he sighed. He drew in a deep breath and swung his right hand. At that instant, bolts and plates of metal were hurled through the windows.
"That won't work twice!" The masked man roared with laughter, leaping back to evade the rain of metal. Suddenly, a huge chunk of the train car was hurled at him from the sides.
The masked man had barely landed on his feet, when the huge sheet of metal alongside shards of glass, slammed into his arm. He was hurled off the ground, into the opposite wall.
Silas held out his hand, sandwiching the masked man tight between the metallic sheets, when a cold wind swept past him. He blinked to find the moron suspended in a block of ice.
'Ice? She barely has enough—' Silas stared out the corner of his eyes, just to see Matilda standing with both her hands stretched out. He shifted his glance, '—energy for that burst.'
"Boss, this is bad." Luke stepped up to Silas' side, whispering into his ear. He turned to the layer of ice covering the hole Silas created, "If they were willing to attack now, then—"
Yeah. Silas glanced around at the frightened men, woman and children who'd gotten in a mess they never bargained for. He recalled Matilda, "I can't believe regulars got involved."
Just as he words fell from his lips, Silas' heart skipped a beat. He remembered that they had mentioned some sort of bomb in the train, and it didn't seem much of a bluff right now.
"Ice, take Luke and search the train. There's a bomb aboard," Silas commanded, taking a heavy step forward as his grey aura emerged, "I will hold him back until you neutralised it."
The ice cracked, then exploded in a burst of flames. Before Silas could react, a silhouette charged out of the flames. Suddenly the punch connected with his face, sending Silas flying.
Before Silas could stabilise himself mid-air, the masked man grabbed his shirt and then pulled him close, slamming his fist in Silas' guts. All the air in his stomach got knocked out.
The masked man grabbed Silas' neck, then swung him down, pinning Silas' neck to the ground. Silas' eyes widened as pain shoot across his body and the floor blew up under him.
"Bold of you to believe that you can hold me back." The masked man remarked in a cold tone as he released his chokehold and drove his fist into Silas' exposed jaw, "Rocket Punch!"
There was an ear splitting explosion as Silas was blown across the ground, tearing it in halves and leaving a trail of flames. Silas crashed right into the toilet, then lost momentum.
Ice, Luke and Selena turned to the immobilised Silas, then returned their trembling eyes to the masked man. In one punch, he'd devastated the strongest superhuman they had seen.
Seeing the trail of blood and teeth left across the 'paved' metallic floor, Ice stood rooted to the ground, her pupils contracted and darting from side to side. She couldn't even speak.
Fear— it had consumed the three of them, just like every other person in the train car. A cold gleam formed in Ice's eyes as she took trembling steps to stand before the masked man.
"Are you going to wet your pants?" The man taunted, putting one hand on his waist as he stared at Ice who stepped forth to defend Silas then scoffing, "Or are you going to cry?"
Ice closed her eyes, her legs trembling. Suddenly, blood started leaking out of both ears and nostrils and when her eyes snapped open, they'd turned bloodshot, "Crucifixion of Ice!"
The masked man turned his gaze from left to right, watching ice creep from all corners of the train, reaching for him. He frowned, snapping his fingers then pointing towards Ice.
Before he could utter a word, the ice that'd been creeping around him, lunged towards him, grabbing each and very part of his body. His pupils narrowed as he stood immobilised.
"Gah," Ice vomited a mouthful of blood, staggering forward. A bloody tear rolled down her cheeks as she grinned, chewing on her lips, "If you I am going to cry, prepare yourself."
"You are forcing yourself, just to prove a point?" The masked man continued taunting her, struggling to free himself from the icy chains as a bead of sweat rolled down his face.
Ice widened her eyes as her grin grew, then a creature of ice materialised behind her, a bright silver glow emitting from its eyes. It had the likeness of a human, wielding a sword.
The Avatar of Ice, the Executioner, charged towards the restrained masked man with a hollow shriek. The masked man braced himself, "You are one crazy woman, doing all this."
The Avatar of Ice swung its sword, leaving a ghastly gash along the masked man's chest and splattering blood across the ground. It was just about to strike again when it exploded.
The second the executioner dispersed, Ice collapsed on all fours, vomiting blood on the ground. The masked man leapt back, grabbing his chest in shock then releasing a cold sigh.
"You didn't have a lot of energy before attempting that, or I would have been dead." He dashed forward, transforming into a blur as she stretched out his right hand, "Rocket Pu—"
Before he could complete his words, a punch slammed into his mask. There was a loud explosion of sound as the masked man was blown off the ground and sent flying in the air.
Before he could crash into a wall, a force grabbed his leg and hurled him upwards. The masked man crossed his arms before his face, bursting through the train vestibule's ceiling.
He quickly grabbed on to the train. The train was moving at incredibly high speeds and he'd be left in the dust if he fell off. He stabilised himself before sliding away from the hole.
"You have a lot of guts—" Silas said as he floated out of the hole the masked man ripped with his body, his eyes laced with anger, "—making Ice put her body under so much stress."
