I turned to leave once it occured to me that she could be in the restroom doing her thing, but a sudden retching sound stopped me. It was loud and accompanied by a whimper. lt sounded from inside the room.
Surprised, I stepped into the room. I kept the snacks which I was holding on the bedside table and walked to the restroom, where the retching had sounded from.
Nicole was sprawled on the floor, her both hands clutched the toilet seat, while she panted heavily. She noticed my presence, and turned to face me. But she turned away quickly and threw up inside the toilet bowl.
"Are you alright?" I asked once she stopped. I was clueless, and didn't know how to hide it.
"What do you think?" She shot back at me, obviously pissed.
"Do you need help?" I asked again, and she shot me a deadly stare. It seems everything I said pissed her off.
