Ciera was beyond angry, her wolf was beginning to surface. In her head, she had already begun to curse this man and all his descendants.
In the wolf community, it was the norm for wolves to save themselves for their mate. Engaging in any relationship before finding your mate was an unspoken taboo, as most saw it as a betrayal of one's soulmate.
It wasn't uncommon to find that even after the death of one's mate, the wolf would live the remainder of their shortened lifetime in isolation.
Seeing Noah Gray, the alpha of the Gray Moon pack, openly flaunting his lover in public, Ciera was completely indignant.
He was just 24 and didn't even try to search for his other half; instead, he was entertaining another woman.
This led her to realize something about this man.
'He was a complete Jerk.'
These words had escaped her mouth without her knowledge. In the blink of an eye, Jemma practically jumped on the girl, clasping the girl's mouth with her hands.
For her own good, Ciera needed to be stopped from speaking.
It was common knowledge that wolves were very protective of their mates.
If someone were to insult their mate or hurt them in any way, the wolf in question would lose control and attack no matter how insignificant the insult was.
They all turned to see Fei's expression, and to their utter surprise, Fei looked completely unbothered.
This stirred mixed emotions in the group, they couldn't understand how she could be so calm in this situation.
Not only did she see her mate with another female, but she had also heard her mate being insulted.
For most wolves the pain of betrayal would crippled them. It was like having your heart torn apart.
An insult to a mate was also very emotionally growling for a wolf; it was like having the thing you love most torn apart right in front of you.
Not that Fei was a simple wolf she was one of the strongest wolves. She is faster, stronger and has more heightened senses than any other wolf.
This didn't translate to a sense of smell and hearing alone but also to how she perceived emotions.
To say wolves like her were more emotionally sensitive would be an understatement.it would be more accurate to say that most were practically slaves to these emotions.
This was their greatest weakness. They could easily lose their temper, and if they were in a situation where they underwent a type of shoe, something that would rattle a simple wolf could potentially give them a heart attack.
It was not uncommon for them to die after losing their mate or being betrayed by one.
This is the reason why they were so shocked by how calm Fei was. She had never been one to overreact or make a fuss, but this was something that could mentally destroy a normal wolf, not to mention her.
At that moment, nobody, not even the very eloquent Ciera, knew what to say or do. They couldn't even begin to imagine what their friend was going through.
After a long moment of silence, the rest of the teens had to go back to their duties. Ciera had an important diplomatic meeting to attend with the leaders of the blood moon pack.
Jackson was the head of the tech team in the pack while Karl was head of strategy teen so they also had some important things to attend to.
Jemma also had to supervise the training of the Tungsten Moon pack worriers as she was the head warrior.
In the end only Fei was left behind. The rest had been reluctant to leave but they more or less knew that she needed some time to herself, not that she would have let them stay even if what she needed was the opposite.
Once they had all left, she sat there in a daze. within her, her wolf Emma was howling in pain. She could see her practically being torn apart by the pain. She knew nothing she said would alleviate the pain Emma was feeling.
Watching the most resilient wolf she knew as a crying, screaming mess was the hardest thing she had ever faced in her life. She wanted to reach out and hag her, nuzzle in her beautiful white coat; she would hold her and never let go, but it was physically impossible.
She wrapped her hands around herself, knowing her wolf and her shard senses. She hoped her wolf would understand her intention. A soft whine from her wolf informed her that Emma had understood.
She was so invested in the thoughts that she didn't notice it, but crimson tears were flowing from her eyes, staining her clothes as well as the surrounding grass.
Suddenly, her wolf cried out in agony; it was a heartrending howl. Fei herself had let out an ear-piercing scream.
Claw marks began to appear on her back; the pain was like nothing they had felt before. Her vision went white she was beryl holding on to consciousness. The clawing continued it was as if she was being attacked by some unseen foe. She clawed at the ground, trying to stay conscious. She didn't know why but she felt that if she closed her eyes she wouldn't wake up again.
Both she and her wolf combined the willpower to keep their eyes open. She pushed herself up despite the power of the claw strike pushing her toward the ground.
She sat on her knees, all her macules tense she wouldn't badge from that position.
She sat there her sticking to her body moistened by a mixture of blood and sweat. Her clothes were dyed a deep shade of crimson, with her shirt torn completely at the back, exposing her fair skin to the clas strikes that closely resembled those from a whip, only that the scars left behind her dipper and prodused more blood.
eyes a mixture of luminous blue and hazle, her wolfs and her own eye colour, they were reemed by a crimson red. The blood tears continued to flow from her eyes; with the blood splarting on the ground from each claw attack, the was a large pool of blood flowing on the ground below her, staining the grass red.
Her body was rapidly healing the claw marks disappearing seconds after they had appeared. Despite this, due to the rapid sussesion of the tacks and the significant amount of blood splarting out from her back, the pool was rapidly growing; soon it would resemble a lake.
