Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: An Unlikely Duo(1)

[The False Light of Baal: Summon me...]

Sanguinius's words plunged the group chat into a long silence before Kazuma reacted.

[Leader of the Gender Equality Sect (administrator): Dude, I know you were a pure and innocent angel until not long ago, but... she's not worth it.]

[Leader of the Gender Equality Sect (administrator): And I'm not saying that because she's not "endowed" enough for my taste!!! Just that she's completely crazy and super unpleasant.]

[The Red Empress: I never thought I'd say this... but I agree with the other idiot.]

[Leader of the Gender Equality Sect (administrator): What! You also think she's not well-built enough in the chest area?!]

Despite the absurdity of Kazuma's remarks, the empress royally ignored him and calmly continued her explanation.

[The Red Empress: You weren't there at the time, but when we created this group, we all wanted to meet in person... and it went very badly.]

[Random Soldier of Cadia: Stop beating around the bush. Just tell him that the xenos messed everything up. I barely got to taste fresh food from a garden world.]

[Leader of the Gender Equality Sect (administrator): For once, I'm on the side of the space racist... And I couldn't even enjoy the empress's hospitality!]

[The Man Stuck in the Rocky Mountains: ... Yeah, it's not a pleasant memory and the dragon didn't do anything except when she disrespected her]

[I am just THE dragon: I just wanted a real hierarchy to structure itself, but I didn't know she would use such vile magic on you]

Thanks to their comments so far, Sanguinius was able to understand more about the situation in the group chat.

"Empress Alicia must have received the members of a group in her castle at some point before my arrival, but the soldier from Cadia must have offended Aura and the dragon..."

The rest of the story surely unfolded with Aura, who wanted to make everyone slaves.

Since Ryu Hanbin is a warrior, he must have negative mana, and if aura is considered a form of mana, then Ryu must be far from his 22 years in the mountains.

Thus, the only person who could have stopped Aura must be the dragon.

"Kazuma must have relied on Aqua to get rid of Aura's control..."

This hypothesis from Sanguinius would explain people's hostility toward Aura, but also their distrust toward the dragon from the universe of The God of High School.

[The False Light of Baal: thanks for your advice and concerns, but I'll still go to that dimension.]

[The Guillotine: thank you, I'll return the favor.]

[The False Light of Baal: I don't believe in promises from those of your kind... I'm not as racist as the guy from Cadia, but I'm realistic.]

[The False Light of Baal has sent an item.]

[The False Light of Baal: sign the magical contract I sent, and I swear to help as best I can.]

[The Guillotine: What!! This is a scam.]

[The Guillotine: are you sure you recently became a fallen angel?]

[The Man Stuck in the Rocky Mountains: I'm curious... What does this contract stipulate?]

[The Guillotine publishes an image.]

[I am just THE dragon: I find it reasonable, and it guarantees your safety during this period.]

[The Red Empress: ... He's asking for a century of servitude. I see nothing reasonable... He must surely be another pervert.]

[The Red Empress: no wonder he refuses to talk about the circumstances behind his banishment.]

[The False Light of Baal: a vassalage contract*, I just want her to find people, objects, and other resources for me.]

[The False Light of Baal: I don't command her directly, and I don't touch her dignity or freedom.]

[The Red Empress: ... I still find it suspicious that you're asking her to find people when you've never been to her world.]

[The False Light of Baal: and I find it surprisingly narrow-minded for a sovereign.]

After these words, Sanguinius ignored the insults and criticisms from the empress.

He liked women with character, but he wasn't a simp who explained everything about himself just because a beautiful woman asked him to.

[The False Light of Baal: so? Do you accept or not?]

[The Guillotine: yes, but I want to modify a detail concerning the termination clause of the contract.]

[The False Light of Baal: I'm not backing down. If you betray me or use your magic on me, then goodbye to your magic.]

The demon...

Unlike the creatures from the underworld that Sanguinius has often been facing for some time...

The demons from Frieren's universe are gifted with reason and intelligence equivalent "or even superior" to that of humans.

Unfortunately, they have a worldview centered on mana and the satisfaction of their predatory instinct.

The more mana a demon has, the more respected they are among their peers. This prompted Sanguinius to use this knowledge in his magical contract.

If Aura tries to play too clever, then she'll end up at the bottom of her race's food chain.

A bit like a rich man suddenly becoming poor because of a dishonest contract.

[The Guillotine: ok, I accept.]

[The Guillotine has published an image.]

[The Guillotine asks the False Light of Baal to respond to her summons.]

[Do you accept her summons?]

Sanguinius POV

"Mittelt..."

"Yes, Lord Sanguinius?"

I tenderly stroked her blonde head before sketching an apologetic smile because of my sudden departure.

"I'll have to leave you for an unknown time, but I estimate I'll be back in about a month."

As expected, she frowned at my words and her eyes analyzed my bare chest for a moment before glaring at me.

Originally, my angelic body was slender and androgynous, without a single "flaw."

If it had been in my past life, I would have maintained such a body like a treasure... but I didn't have that luxury here.

My body had to become a weapon, with nothing to envy of Sairaorg Bael's.

Thus, I went from a Griffith-like physique to a Guts-like body... I really don't like these scars due to fights against demonic beasts and my training.

Yet, they are necessary for my growth in strength.

"Are you going out again to fight somewhere?"

"Unfortunately, I must."

She didn't respond to my words but turned around after picking up my clothes soiled by sweat.

"Come back without injuries or else..." She glanced over her small shoulders before letting out a little hum and leaving the room.

Maybe I should spend more time with her without talking about future projects related to our base or training... Yeah, I've become uptight from locking myself in this life full of training.

[You clicked on "yes"]

[Prepare for teleportation...]

I put on the spare clothes available in the training room before finally being engulfed by the light of the system.

After this illumination, I found myself in a snowy field, in the middle of a horde of decapitated undead.

"You really took your time."

I turned toward the source of this cute voice but surprisingly devoid of emotion... a strange paradox.

Behind me was a young girl with modest breasts and magenta hair that reached the middle of her back.

Her hair was gathered into two large pigtails tied at the shoulder, which gave her a... particular look.

Despite her fascinating hair, the trait that caught my attention the most was undoubtedly her icy eyes.

Ordinary in appearance, she nevertheless emanated a strange oppressive feeling.

I can honestly compare her to a predatory beast.

"Sorry, I had to clarify things with a subordinate..."

— BAM

I didn't have time to finish my sentence when a magical explosion resonated to the sound of weapon drones around me.

"Darn, we don't have time for formalities... Himmel and his group are here."
