Chapter 12

Manuel's plane landed few minutes ago and he's currently checking out of the airport .
<<<20 minutes .>>>
Manuel took an uber home . he dropped his stuffs and took his car keys . he's dressed in all black so he took his black Audi and drove straight to the clan.
On getting to the clan , the compound was still rowdy with mobsters moving about , so he just head to the main house to meet the leader of the clan.
On getting to the main house , the leader was having a meeting with some top officials ,so he waited in the sitting room .
He texted Erik and in no time Erik arrived looking surprised .
" man , you're creepy ,like wtf , I talked to you moments ago and you were still in Italy , how the fuck did you arrive here already?. !" he exclaimed and Manuel smiled sickly .
"What's up man ? How about your girl?." He teased and Manuel rolled his eyes looking away .
"What's the problem dude ? Chill." He sat beside him .
"Later ." he shoved it off .
"But..." He tried furthering but a stare from Manuel zipped his mouth .
"Whatever ." he said .
"How was the burial ?." He asked .
"Fine ,Nickolai was buried at the leader favourite wing [his reserved estate ]."
"Ohk. "
"A lot of people cried , even master ."
"Nicky was a good boy ."
"Yh right, I wonder how pryanka and bubble is fairing , pryanka almost killed herself that night when they arrived at the clan with his body ."
"Hm"
Just then the meeting finished and the officials came out one by one .
After they all left , Manuel went in to meet the leader .

Karen came downstairs to get something to snack on since she isn't feeling sleepy yet and ma'am Emily is asleep already . she grabbed some soda and fun snacks with two slices of pepperoni . these days she's been consuming snacks more than food . on her way back to her room she bumped into Alex at the top of the stairs and she felt like melting or disappearing cos the way he looked at her was scary and her legs began to wobble . he looked at her legs and back to her face and she didn't remove her eyes from the floor . he stepped forward and she ran to her room immediately , she ran as fast as her legs can carry without looking back till she got to her room.
Alex stood on his spot and smirked at her childishness .
You won't escape next time . he mumbled and proceeded to his room .

Adriana's sitting room was so messed up as her sitting room was littered with bottles of vodka and food with the air rented with cigar smoke as her clothes were tattered and her hair messed up as she cried stupidly on the floor sipping from the vodka bottle in her left hand and smoke from the cigar in her right hand she coughed profusely . her eyes were so red and teary and her face were red . she was just in singlets and shorts . she bit her lower lip and burned her lap with the cigar lights and she screamed as she continue drinking and doing all stuffs till she fell asleep .

Erik went to sleep straight cos it was already so late . Manuel freshened up and went to his study table and continued his research ,his phone pinged and his eyes caught
Karen's picture on his screen ,he used her picture as his wallpaper and a lone tear dropped from his eyes, he wiped it but another one dropped he wiped it but another one dropped and another and he couldn't control the tears as they poured heavily from his eyes . he grabbed his head as he cried profusely , his head was spinning but he doesn't care his heart aches a lot and he might just die if he doesn't see her soon .
